| Pacific Palisades (PP) was a great family experience, we have two sons, 13 and 15, difficult and uneasy age time but we managed well at PP because our two boys had their own space and Tv set and every thing very handy for them: wireless internet connection, microwave and frige, and of course! the parents away in the other room. Believe it or not, each one of these elements were key for a happy atmosphere and smooth relation during the four day vacation in Vancouver. The Pacific Palisades personnel is always ready to help and everyday we enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, sauna and jaccusi, and ready for the wine tasting every afternoon at 5 pm when we were back from our city touring. In Robson St where the PP is located you have close by almost everything: good restaurants (dont miss the French Creperie just in front!), high quality shopping, art gallery, parks, great Marina views and walking distance to all these places. What else can you ask? PP is a Paradise place in the heart of Vancouver.

| Pacific Palisades is in a great location (near Stanley Park, walkable to lots of other places) but so are many of the hotels in Vancouver. The views, if you get one, are spectacular. We ended up on the 22nd floor over looking the water. Amazing. The rooms are sparse and the hallways are a bit rundown. Clean but rundown. The service is superfriendly. It is not an old luxurious hotel with all the amenities but more of a clean, sparse hotel which maybe needs a paint job, some nicer furniture but with nice service, nice views, and comfy beds. We liked having the kitchenette and the hotel restaurant is really good.

| This hotel is billed as a 4-star hotel, but I found the experience to be more like 3-star. The hotel restaurant food (room service) was incredibly overpriced and unimpressive taste-wise as well as scanty in portion size. The alarm clock was not working, and the fumes from the new paint job in the room made my head spin and compelled me to leave the windows open all night despite the loud noise from Robson street down below. Despite the roomy accommodations (suite with very good area for desktop working, etc.) the room seemed overpriced. I'm a late riser, so I was also a bit dismayed when the complimentary coffee was over at 9:00 am. On the good side, the hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and there are a couple very cute pet dogs in the lobby for those who love animals. Overall, I would likely look for another hotel that has better food and is a bit more reasonably priced.

| The hotel is decent, but I don't know how they keep four stars. We stay all over the US and Mexico regularly and from other reviews, I think my snobiness is shinning, but we just did not think it was anything special. The rooms seriously needed to be updated! Judging from other reviews, our standards are way too high.

| Theroom was absolutely fantastic. The reception area was dreary and the restaurant was closed for a special function which was a bad mark from me. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat but expect to go out for meals rather than use the facilities.

| The hotel was nice. It is located in the perfect spot. I dn't see a hotel in a better location. It is near all the shopping on Robson Street. The exercise rooms were not great. No ellipticals and the machines were not well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable. I usually have problems with hotel beds but I had no problems here.

| My 9 yr. old son and I just returned from a long weekend in Vancouver. The staff and concierge were very friendly and helpful. Excellent shopping just steps from the hotel! My son loved the indoor pool, very clean;I worked out in their gym room while he swam. Our room was very spacious, and the "kitchenette" came in handy--microwave,mini fridge, utensils and coffeemaker. The bathroom could be a bit bigger, but we made it fine. After all the walking we did, it was lovely to come back to a turned-down room, available upon request. A local suggested we try the suspension bridge at Lynn Canyon which is free, rather than the Capilano Bridge which costs $25.dlls per person. We took the tip and it was just as nice and not as crowded! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again!

| Great pool and hot tub facilities and the pool is 11 feet deep at one end. You have to walk down two levels to get to the men's changing room though. They have a wine reception in the evening, and I won a content and got a free pint of Haagen Daz, delivered by room service. Nice location on Robson, and a Starbucks is across the street (naturally). Room furniture was a little tired and needed updating, but sufficient for a quick weekend trip. A 15 to 20 minute walk to Stanley Park and the Aquarium.

| Everything was great- the pool- the service, and the room. We had a suite with kitchenette- well worth the price. All utensils, dishes, etc were furnished. The decor was especially creatively done. The only problem was arriving. The hotel is not directly on Robson. It's on a cross street, and the sign cannot be seen. Get directions ahead!

| Our family visits Vancouver often and we've tried many different hotels. This is our favorite. It's well located, within walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants and the city's crown jewel, Stanley Park. We often have breakfast in our room, taking advantage of the modest kitchen facilities in the king suite. The neighborhood is bustling, so can be a bit noisy especially on weekend nights, but everything else makes up for that. If the weather is rainy, and even when it's not, we love spending time at the pool which also has a steam room, hot tub and workout facilities. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

| My plane was 5 hours late and I wasn't in the best frame of mind upon arrival at one in the morning. When I stepped into my suite, I was elated. It was more than I expected. Not the run-of-the-mill bed and bath but a bright suite with a wall of windows. The staff was excellent and every request was immediately addressed in the nicest possible way. The hotel is conveniently located and I walked everywhere.

Bike rentals on weekend. Within walking distance to everything-Stanley Park, Gastown, and Canada place. Free wine gathering each evening. Only one complaint--very slow and noisy elevators but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would return.

| A friend was visiting from NYC and we decided to take a trip up to Vancouver. Front desk was very helpful and provided us with an early check-in. The room also was exactly what I expected from viewing the virtual tours on Expedia. We ordered room service which was a little disappointing. The food was mediocre and it was not served on a cart but just on trays. There wasn't any table we could use (except for the desk in one corner of the room) so we had to eat breakfast with the trays on our beds. Otherwise it was a great stay for a couple of nights.

| Great location. We stayed in the 1-br suite. The furniture would probably need to be upgraded soon, but the room was clean and good-sized, and the bed was pretty comfortable. Great view from the balcony, since we were on the 21st floor. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and steam room -- especially nice after walking on Robson St in rain. One problem we had was with the understaffed valet service; we had to wait for a while to get our car.

| The hotel was great, nice location in town, we walked to Stanley Park (about a 10 minute walk). The best thing about the hotel is the pool, hot tub, steam room, and fitness area. Their pool is large enough for lap swimming, and 2 lanes were roped off for swimming laps. The rooms are decorated with bright colors. It was nice to have a small refrigerator to store our drinks.

| My spouse and I spent three nights there this past weekend and would stay there again. The hotel staff, including the Concierge, were the most helpful and friendly of any I've encountered in my travels. I must downrate the hotel a bit from four stars as the balcony deck overlay material at our room was badly deteriorated and in need of replacement. We had breakfast twice and dinner once in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The location, at Robson and Jervis, is very convenient with major shopping areas within walking distance. A big thumbs up for the staff.

It was very hip and we had a great room with a balcony overlooking Robson St. The room had a fully stocked kitchenette, dinette area, living room and separate bedroom. The location is perfect within walking distance to quite a lot in both directions. And, the best part was, the price was GREAT for such a nice hote. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we visit Vancouver.
