This hotel is a great place to stay and extremely convenient. Close to a "T" stop that will take you pretty much anywhere you need to go in Boston and if the T isn't your thing there are a slew of cabs just waiting to take you anywhere for a reasonable price. Overall the hotel was clean, the staff were "over-the-top" with personal and friendly service. Check-in/out was a breeze, and although I didn't use the automated system, it was available. (I was worried about check-in since I have never booked online before but it was great. I showed them my printed confirmation, provided my ID and credit card and that was it!) The room and beds were very comfortable. I could tell the hotel is geared for the business traveler but its a great stay for families too. It's in a very nice, clean and safe area. There is a beautiful fountain and park across the street where I saw many families take their children. Overall, I highly recommend it and will probably stay there on my next leisure trip to Boston. Helpful Tips: They have a Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel but it closes at 6 pm. So be advised if any of you are evening coffee drinkers like me. When someone in Boston says, Oh its just a 15 min walk from here be prepared for anything between 1-3 miles. Check directions on the MBTA website. They have a section called trip planner that is very helpful.

The beds in the rooms are some of the most comfortable I've experienced. All the service personnel are very helpful and friendly. Overall a real Class AAA experience.

Given the price of the hotel, it's service is lousy. Even though I requested non-smoking room, I got a very stinky smoking room. I heard other guest complaining about the same problem - they were only offered to have the room sprayed. Concierge was down right condescending and grouchy. Rooms are rather small but I do have to admit, it's at great Back Bay location.

Don't try to get 2 suites near each other because you'll get them on sepearte floors even though I requested them on expedia. Had to downgrade to a double ( got no discount ) in order to get another room nearby on the same floor. Other than this the suite room was very nice and bed very comfortable. Parked by valet ( about the same price as prudential parking) which made the walk a lot shorter. Don't really need a car to get around boston.

We just returned from a weekend in Boston. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. Our room was on the 25th floor and the view was amazing. We loved that the hotel was connected to the Copley Mall and the Prudential Center. No need to go outside to find a resturant, pub or Starbucks. This is a beautiful thing if you go during the winter, cause baby it's cold outside!

If you are planning a trip to Boston this is the place to stay. It is right where you need to be. My daughter and I went and she loves to shop and right connected to this hotel is some of the best shopping in the country. We took the Boston Tour Shuttle which we booked from the lobby and left on it right outside of the Hotel. My such history in a town where our freedom began. We only had 3 days so we will go back when we can stay longer and the Sheraton Boston will be our choice Hotel to stay.

Used the hotel computer kiosk to check in. I had requested a NS room but when we opened the door we could tell the previous occupant had smoked. Went downstairs and spoke with an agent who apologized, upgraded us to a concierge level room (27th floor with a great view), gave us a complementary appetizer voucher and free breakfast the next morning. Also enjoyed the pool, whirlpool and sauna.

If you want to be in the heart of Boston's Back Bay this is the place. Ask for a room above 9th floor, so you get more of a view. The pool and gym are dated and will be renovated. Our room's layout was odd but worked. The bathroom was very small which made it tricky for us as we were getting dressed for our son's wedding.

We arrived at the hotel around midnight and unfortunately the room clerk put us into an awful smelly smoking room in the back of the hotel overlooking an alley, generators, etc. The next morning I complained about the room and the "manager on duty" moved us into a lovely room and made our visit most enjoyable. Purpose of our trip was to move daughter into college and this hotel was located extremely convenient to the college, shopping, etc. I would definitely stay there again!!

The Sheraton is strategically located in Boston's Back Bay for easy access to public transportation, sight-seeing, shopping, and restaurants. The staff was very helpful-if they didn't know the answer to our question, they called someone who did! Our room was very clean, had a beautiful view of the city and extremely comfortable beds. We had an evening flight and the hotel gladly kept our luggage after we checked out so we could continue to sight-see on our final day.

Great location to do whatever you want. With all the shopping at the Prudential Center, access to many tours and the "T", you don't have to be "downtown" in the general hubbub to get where you want to be. We stayed on the 4th of July and were able to watch the fireworks from our room on the 21st floor which overlooked the Charles River. With an 8 year old in tow, it was perfect because we didn't have to fight with the crowds and a cranky child at 10:30 pm when the show was scheduled. We've stayed there before, and will definitely stay there whenever we are in Boston!!!

It made the family side a little tight @ times.Room was clean, beds comfy.Issue was more with booking through expedia - requested minisuite with 2 beds, ended up in oversize room with 1 king & pullout sofia, no divider between section - expedia requests, does not guarentee. still a good time, not quite the expectation. This is an excellent hotel. I stayed on the night of my birthday and they gave me lots of extras and an upgrade. It really made my night more special. I was pleasantly surprised and happy I decided to stay at the Sheraton. I had always loved the beds and the comfort of the rooms, and the hotel's ideal location, and staying recently was no exception. Everything was great and we had no issues except the fire alarm kept going off in the morning, but that was cleared up quickly as it was an isolated incident. Room service was prompt and delicious. I would recommend the Sheraton Boston to anyone looking for a great hotel in the city.

We were there for Boston's huge New year's Eve celebration. The hotel was very central to all the festivities which was great/Check in was a little confusing - but they were very busy, so being a little frazzled is surely understandable. The room was clean, comfortable and we had a great view. The only bad thing: Finding your way around the area is confusing since all the buildings are connected. All of a sudden you are in the Hynes or Prudential, without leaving a building. The concierge was NOT helpful with directions, so we spent extra time finding our way about. We hadn't bought one of their 'party package' deals, so we weren't on her list to receive any goodies, which she apparently took to mean we dont get any service!

This hotel is certainly showing its age. Not up to my Sheraton hotel expectations. There was no fan in the bathroon and the vent was pretty well clogged with dust and dirt. There were at least four other hotels in this area that we could have chosen and I expect that any of them would have been better. I travel a great deal so maybe my expectations are a bit higher but this is the worst Sheraton that I have ever stayed at.
