| I stayed at the Westin hotel with my sister as our graduation trip and I must say that it totally worth every penny we paid. The hotel and staff are just wonderful - everyone from the bell, front desk, to housekeeping. The hotel is very well kept and maintained. Also, the hotel is classy yet welcoming - not snobby at all. The weather during the summer is very humid, but the tropical storms in the evening are almost a beautiful touch to end the day. We ate several times at the restaurants in the hotel, and although they are not cheap - their service and food is worth it in my opinion, especially if you're looking to have a nice dinner. I've always stayed at Westin Hotels during my travel, and will continue to do so - I highly recommend them. Hope to return to P. Vallarta some day - it really is an awesome experience. Viva Mexico! :-)

| It was our first time in Vallarta, from the moment we entered the hotel until we left, everything and everyone was outstanding. We had a great room on the 8th floor, the whole hotel was always clean and the stuff very helpful and courteous. We liked that the front guys always keep track of where we were going for the day and what taxi picked us up. We only had one dinner and it was OK and expensive. We will go back, no doubt and will stay in the same hotel.

| We had a great time at the Westin. The bed was very comfortable and service was great. Beautiful pools. Beach was rocky and current too strong, several people were bitten by jelly fish. Was tooooo hot, the humidity was very high ( I lived in Miami many years, I am used to humidity but this was too much), we went middle of June. Will definately only go back during the winter. Stayed at the hotel on 5th floor and could hear the noise coming from the bar on the 1st floor as well as the music coming from the beach club, this went until 1am and was very annoying, did not expect rooms at an expensive hotel to have this noise problem. The problem is that higher floors are more expensive. The food was expensive and not good, would not mind paying for it if it were good.

| We made last minute reservations (the actual day of departure) and wanted a hotel that was kid friendly (6 & 14). The resort was so beautiful, the food was great, our room couldn't have been more beautiful and the employees of the hotel were always friendly and helpful. The valets were extremely gracious, friendly and helpful. The pools were awesome. We went downtown everyday ($5 dollars each way in the taxi) and just enjoyed PV. We took a charter to Los Arcos, Los Animas and took the horseback tour to the waterfall. We can't wait to go back in a couple of months to enjoy it again with the kids. We were never worried about drinking the water or eating the food even with kids. Downtown the same, we ate & drank till we were merry.

| Located conveniently near the airport and just a 10 minute cab ride from downtown, this hotel impresses right away with its tasteful, romantic, and tropical open-air lobby. The pools (4 different ones: for children, activities, adults) and pool bars are wonderfully designed: both attractive and with nooks and cranies that feel removed from others. Bar on the beach and pretty cabanas, for rent. The hotel restaurants are good but on the pricey side: head downtown for some excellent Mexican food (ask the info people for suggestions). The rooms were very pleasant; even our "partial ocean view" room was lovely.

| We visited PV for the first time and stayed at the Westin Hotel, maintained well and had great customer service overall, we highly suggest you to avoid the restaurants from within the hotel "PRICEY" instead go downtown and have your meals outside the facilities, save your money for "Drinks" ($7 to $10 p/drink)at any restaurant from within the hotel.

| The Westin in Puerto Vallarta was a pleasant surprise. When traveling to a new place you never know what to expect. The location (Marina Vallarta) was wonderful. The marina is in walking distance from the hotel and we enjoyed dining and shopping in this area. The service at the Westin was excellent....everyone was friendly. The restaurants were delicious and the massage was fabulous. It is easy to see that the Westin takes pride in the landscaping and maintenance of the hotel. All I can say is that we were sad to leave although we hope to come back and encourage people to visit.

| The service at the hotel was outstanding from our arrival, including front desk, concierge and restaurant personnel. The food at the restaurant was actually pretty good. We heard the hotel was booked to capacity, but it never felt very crowded. The room itself was nothing spectacular, but it had a great view. We were on the highest floor, 14th. Our rate also included breakfast in the Royal Beach Club room. The breakfast was very good with hot dishes as well as all the cold items you'd expect.

| Spent a week at the hotel with my family. Great pools and service. We loved the lounges and cabanas on the beach- worth the price for one day. The deli and marina across the street was a lifesaver for snacks and food. Try some of the restuarants downtown- it was worth the sunset! You will be scammed by the time sharerer if not careful- epecially by the cabdrivers when you arrive and the hotel info desk- BEWARE!

| We had an enjoyable time in PV but versus other hotels in MX, this one is pretty dated. Furthermore, poolside service is nearly nonexistent. Another annoying feature to us was the fact that the photos show beautiful cabanas adjacent to the beach. They are indeed beautiful, but if you want to use them, cough up an additional $30/day. The hotel will also attempt to sell you timeshares...as if you love it there so much that you actually want to purchase a vacation home there. Beware the "information desk"--all they want you to do is go to their 90 minute presentation on timeshares and you feel very vulnerable every time you walk by.

| The greatest experience... ( minus the time share stalkers) although, if you have three hours to spare, it will pay for a great show, a massage at the hotel, and a blanket...Go see Rythems of the night. Very relaxing.. Many other reviews talked about the high prices of hotel food and drinks. I thought they were very reasonable. I am from a large city where prices can be high, and I am in the restaurant industry. We loved dinner at the nikki lounge on the beach, outside of hotel. Your on vacation, splurge.........

| The Westin is located in the marina area along with many of the other well-established hotels in the Puerto Vallarta. The area is up-scale with many restaurants to choose from, of all styles and price ranges. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very well maintained. Rooms are nice. We stayed in the Royal Beach Club, that guarantees a room on the 12 or 14 floors, and have the best views and access to a private lounge with full breakfast in the morning, and canapes and cocktails in the evening. The extra cost was well worth it: the view was spectacular and the personal attention of the lounge staff made all the difference. We would recommend the hotel without reservations. My wife and I were on an anniversary trip. We liked Puerto Vallarta so much that we intend to go back to take our son. When we do so, we will be staying at the Westin.

| As one reviewer before me said, don't be fooled by the "help" offered to you soon after you check in. The Westin regina people are just as bad as any time share sales guy on the streets you will bump into 10+ times a day on your way out and in. Other than that, I am very happy with Westin. The heavenly beds, by the way, are too short if you are 5'10" or taller. :-) There isn't much of a beach at the hotel. Rocky with a small stretch of sand and you will smell dead fish when the wind blows. This is because of the locals dumping shells after taking the oysters at the nearby piers. The hotel has free sauna and steam room facilities. Great for relaxing after a day's running-around. Eating at Marina across the street could be quite expensive if you are not careful. We found this great "hole in the wall" place in downtown that serves outstanding burritos. Try their shrimp and octopus burritos. It's call "El Taco Loco" and is right at where the bus stops at the plaza before the boardwalk (Malcone?). It's run by a couple of really friendly people. Please tip them well.

| The 3 pools are large and nicely landscaped. The drinks are very expensive though. $10 for a vodka cranberry in a little plastic cup! It is cheaper to drink out of your bar in your room. The pergolas on the beach are a great feature. The are available to rent each day and provide more space and privacy than the pool. The "heavenly beds" are just that! Very comfortable with nice linens. The bathrooms are very large with walk in shower and separate tub. The buffett is very expensive. $24 for breakfast per person! Go to the Marina and eat at Victor's instead. $10 will feed 2 people easily. The time share people are relentless. Don't make eye contact! They will also call your room at least once offering to "help". Don't be fooled!

| You will need an upper floor to have a decent view due to the tall palm trees. the pool and grounds were fabulous. We went in Nov. and had weather in the 80's every day. You will have to deal with the hawkers for every attraction and purchase, both at the beach and hotel (they even called our room early am). Room smells musty but typical for a tropical location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most staff speak English. Health club is nice but $5. pp/per day used. Can add up. No entertainment whatsoever during the evening at hotel. Walking distance to Marina boardwalk, dining and shops for nightlife.

| The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The only problems we had with the hotel were that they were in the middle of remodeling one of the swim-up bars and one of the restaurants. There were some occasions when the room services wasn't as fast as we liked it to have been. Other than that, the hotel was great. The staff was extremely curtious and helpful. If there was any chance we could have stayed longer we would have.

| We stayed at the Westin for 6 nights in late 9/05, and we loved it. It has a classy yet low-key feel to it, with the wood pool furniture and cabanas and the thatch-roofed Club Nikki next door. The lobby area is open to the outdoors, looking on to the perfectly maintained grounds. Our room was very nice, although the bed was not quite as comfortable as your typical Westin "Heavenly Bed." The spa is also great if you are into that sort of thing. There are several pools, and they are all extremely clean and nicely kept. We are not really into the "resort" thing, but the hotel was so nice that we never regretted staying there. If you don't mind staying a bit outside of downtown P.V., the Westin is an excellent choice. Cabs are only $6 (American) each way in and out of P.V., so you really aren't that isolated. You can't swim at the beach, but I understand that is true of nearly all of the hotels in P.V. on the bay. I believe the Westin is one of, if not THE, nicest hotels in P.V. All in all, this was a great hotel.

Located in the Marina, you are away from the hussle and bussle of the downtown area and the pools were amazing! Very good service and the people were so nice! We enjoyed Niki Beach at night and even caught a show with a fire dancer. I suggest taking a cab downtown and having dinner at the Blue Shrimp and we also enjoyed Le Bistro Cafe which has a beautiful view and jazz music. Tours to go on: the Canopy Tour was so much fun and also the Ryhthms of the Night show at Las Caletas. We also enjoyed a walk along the malecon (downtown boardwalk strip) There's a bunch of shops and bars there along with the friendly local people and outside vendors. I can't wait to go back to PV, among all of the great activities we did outside the hotel, the Westin was an important part of our wonderful trip!
