i have stayed at this hotel 2yrs in a row, each time is better than the last. the rooms are great and comfortable, even down to the plush towels. i would stay again and again, they even helped me with a special request i had and did not charge me extra like other hotels. everyone is very nice and polite. cant say enough good things, i highly recommend! its so close to the clubs in west hollywood, with in walking distance.

This hotel's location is just great. Close to clubs and bars on Santa Monica and Sunset. The room is clean and so is the rest of the hotel. The only negative is that you have to pay for parking ($18/day); basically you don't have the choice to park outside as cars can't park after 9PM in the streets in West Hollywood... Staff could have been friendlier, but this wouldn't be a major complaint.

The hotel was comfortable with the right amenities for the right price. The room was clean, and the fireplace was a nice exta. It was in a quiet neighborhood, but is a very short walk from the sunset strip. The rooftop pool and spa are definitely a plus.

Clean and comfortable, on a quiet street, walking distance to Santa Monica and Sunset boulevards in West Hollywood. Lots of original artwork on hallways. They do provide room service but there is no coffee shop and I was surprised that there was no coffee pot or even instant coffee in the room, and even though the room had a kitchenette with microwave oven, there wasn't even a bowl or spoon for my morning cereal. They do provide fresh apples daily in a basket at the lobby and there was a wet bar in the room...maybe that's where the coffee was hiding...I didn't check!

Everything about my stay was exceptional. The staff, the room, the food, the many pieces of art, made my stay enjoyable. It's a short walk to both Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset Strip (up hill), with great restaurants and shops; it's an ideal location, yet in a quiet residential area. A pleasant change from the usual cookie-cutter rooms found in the big-named hotels.

I didn't know what to expect. It was four of us in the big spacious room. The service was quick to every need we had. They welcomed us with a bowl of fruits. Since we were there for New Year's they even brought us a complimentary bottle of champagne. The rooftop pool and spa is a nice touch with views of the city. It is in a quiet residential area a block from Santa Monica Blvd. Safe area as well.

A sweet, little hotel with a couple of BIG plusses. 1) You can actually WALK to bars, resturants etc..imagine that - in LA! 2) the "demi suites" are very big, have kitchenettes, REAL windows that open and face a quiet street. Nothing fancy here, but friendly srvice & great cold apples in the lobby. No bar or food onsite, but room service available.

It was a nice well kept hotel. The room was nice and had a fireplace. It was quiet yet still close to all the action. The only problem I could see was a water leak from the roof of the underground garage. It in no way affected by stay, bt there was a little bit of a smell in the garage.

Great value for off street hotel. Parking garage great for compact cars but if you have a large rental car then it is tight. The fresh fruit in your room is another great treat. This is much better than some of the other hotels in the area. I would stay there again.

-Mold in the shower, stains on the sheets, cigarette burns on the blankets, in a non-smoking room. -Fire escape door was locked for more than 24hrs. Asked the front desk and was told, "That door is a special door and is electronically controlled". From and Engineer that is a load of... The night before this standard door was unlocked and working fine. -Also charged me $18 a night for "Secure Parking" after the fact. The gate was never closed so I would have been better off parking in the street.

This hotel really isn't bad for the price. The Hotel is really pretty small, so it can't accomdate, individual luxuries, however, the staff are nice, and it's quite close to alot of Hotspots. Both Santa Monica & Sunset BLVD are within walking distance. This is an old hotel, but the rooms were clean & larger than I expected. I was quite pleased with my stay. The only really negitive thing is the parking situation, in which they charge $18.00 a day to park in the hotel garage which is extremely small. You really have no other choice, because you can't park on the street overnight without a city parking sticker, but honestly, parking in Hollywood costs about that much anyhow if you're heading to any of the nightclubs. For the average Joe this hotel is fine, but if u're used to luxury, pull out the pocket book, and book into a 5 star hotel. Oh, & this place is right smack in West Hollywood, so be prepared to see men holding hands.

Quite a different room layout - a converted apartment - so it was a bit more spacious than most rooms. No usual hotel amenities and you really couldn't easily walk to any services. But, the underground parking was nice and the location was quiet considering that we were between two very wild avenues in Los Angeles.

On the second day, I wanted to pack and go any other place, even though I paid for 6 days stay. I think that the people that gave this hotel 3 stars were crazy, rooms in motels are better. The bed wasn't Queen size, full size at most, plus it was so uncomfortable, I had to get up at 7 am in the morning on my vacation because I couldn't stay in the bed any longer. Room was never properly cleaned, I saw a pile of hairs in the bathroom on the first day, they never cleaned it. For 6 days that I stayed there, they never changed bed linens, and couple of times they didn't even changed towels, just folded them. When I tried to order room service, consierge told me that he will call me back in 5 minutes, never did. I called again in half hour, they never even aplogized that they never called me back to take my order. I am not even mentioning that I had to pay $40 for breakfast for two people. Word of advice, if you want to stay in this hotel, bring your own toiletries, theirs stink very badly.

I greatly enjoyed my recent stay at Valadon Hotel. The hotel is almost in a resedential area which is comfortable and feels more like home. Parking under the hotel is also very convient and provides security. It is a smaller hotel, perfect for short visits.
