| I went to the El Dorado with my wife for our honeymoon and we both loved the place. We stayed in a Partial Ocean View Room and the view was more than we could have hoped for, the service was outstanding, the room had a full kitchen and washer/dryer, which needless to say was helpful in Maui. The city of Ka'anapali also was perfect, we drove the whole island and would not have stayed in another part of the island. I am definitely going to go back to this hotel.

| My husband and I stayed at the Eldorado condos (J210) and absolutely loved it. It was like coming back home at the end of the day. It was cozy, not over the top like a fancy hotel would be, but perfectly comfortable. It had a great kitchen, lanai, large bathroom, washer/dryer, brand new fridge, and beautiful grounds. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach, but it's gorgeous once you get there. Perfect location right next to Whaler's Village. Highly recommended!

| This condo/hotel was very good for our needs. Although it is not on the beach, we had a partial ocean view from our room and deck that was beautiful. We enjoyed the quietness, quaintness and beauty of the grounds which would be different at the big hotels down on the beach. We were only a quarter to half-mile away from the ocean, shopping and restaurants. We liked having a condo because we were able to eat in when we wished. We also enjoyed the small, quiet pools available to relax around. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place this is a good choice.

| On arrival we were told our room was not avaliable. We had to stay in a room 1/2 the size for 2 days. They were all very nice and comfortable, except the air conditioning would not get below 78. They did comp us some money for the room, but we were very disapointed for our honeymoon vacation.

| My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We stayed in a one bedroom garden view room and we could see the ocean from our balcony. The rooms were quit spacious, it was only a four minute walk to the ocean (which is not a long walk) and it was one of the better beaches that we visited, the house keeping was wonderful, it came with a washer/dryer unit, big shower, our bed was comfortable, a fully stocked kitchen, a really nice balcony, 2 TVs and DVD/VCR players, stereo, dinning room table, and comfortable couches. The pools there were also very nice and clean. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we will there again when we go back.

| We loved our stay at the Maui Eldorado! The room was beyond our expectations--very clean with all the ammenities of home. There was a short walk down a lovely path to the beach area, which we didn't mind at all--it was well-worth the money we saved for not being directly on the ocean! We also noticed that the hotels directly on the beach had to put up with constant noise where our hotel was very quiet--all we heard were birds! We had guests on both sides of our room, but never heard any noise--not even the running of a shower, which was very suprising! An added bonus of being a short walk from everything---for the first time, nobody gained a pound on vacation!!!! It really was a dream come true!!!!! We paid for a garden view but somehow got a partial ocean view--fabulous!

| The Outrigger Maui El Dorado consists of condo-style rooms with fully equipped kitchens and rather large lanais. I was pleasantly surprised about the size of our one-bedroom room. It had a large sleeping area with two queen beds, a large living area with chairs, couches, TV, CD player and dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen came in handy traveling with two small children. The decor was tastefully done and many upgrades had obviously been made, including granite counters and tile bathroom. Additionally, the hotel has its own cabana on the beach, which hotel personnel will drive you to on a golf cart. But the beach, restaurants and shops are really close enough to get to on foot. Staff moved us to a new room on our last night because owners of our first room were arriving. Staff was very friendly and made it worth our while to move. They even put us in a room with an ocean view, which our initial room did not have. But the second room was not nearly as large, or as nice, as the first. So, as we discovered, there can be a big difference between the size and "feel" of each room. All in all, we were quite satified with this hotel resort. It was affordable, convenient and comfortable. We would gladly stay there again in the future.

| The room was large, spacious and well decorated. It had a nice Lanai that presented a great view of the gardens and the golf course. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, dishes, glasses and appliances. If you like to cook and eat nice intimate dinners it was a good place to stay The only drawback was the beds (which were extremely uncomfortable). We didn't get a good night's sleep during our entire stay. If you are attending a family wedding and are on a moderate budget, this is the place to stay if possible.

| This hotel is adequate, but I'd rate it at 2 1/2 stars at the most. The grounds are maintained well, the cabana is nice and convenient, and room service was thorough. Inside the condo, though, it appeared as though it had flooded at one time. The carpet was stained, the bottoms of the doors were warped, and all corners of the condo were chipped. The entire place needed painting. If we had spent more time in it, I would have been more upset.

| This is a great location. Good quality condo in one of the best area's of Maui. It's close to a lot of fun in the kanapali strip area. But its far enough away, five minute walk to have a good buffer for privacy. The condominium complex is a bit sleepy but very relaxing and is a good break from the crowd's on the strip. We will be going back next year.

| We stayed at this place for 6 nights. The hotel was very comfortable to stay in, generous with towels and toiletries (I hate hotels that are stingy with towels). The full kitchen is indeed that, and also because all units have washer dryers, it's a very good place to stay long term. There are 3 pools in the complex and the beach is about 5-7 minutes walk away. Beach chairs are free which is another plus. On the downside, the service could be spotty. For example, we wanted to move our unit to another building where family was staying - they said they would let us do it, but they would wait until the last minute before calling us, and by the time we got the message, the unit would be unavailable. After this happened a couple of times, they explained that we should have packed our bags so that the hotel could move them when a different unit was available - well, if that's so they should have told us at the beginning. But overall, it's good value for money and I was generally quite satisfied with the place.

| We've stayed twice at the Eldorado and love the spacious fully equipped condos. We also like the easy accessibility, quiet surroundings (even though there are lots of kids). The complex is embedded in a golf course, which lends a certain relaxing green outlook, and you walk a few min. to the beach, but don't meet traffic. Service/front desk folks are very accomodating. We had a small problem this year in our first condo and staff was extremely easy and helpful in quickly moving us to another unit. We're looking forward to returning next year.

| If you are looking to stay out of the rat race, then this is the place. We had a one bedroom condo with an Partial Ocean View (Make sure you spring for this, or you might get a condo or street view), which was quite large(900+ sq feet) and was equipped with everything you need, even a washer/dryer. The resort sits back a little from the beach (about 1 1/2 blocks) and there is a golf course between the condo and the water, but the little walk isn't that bad (they have shuttle service too). The condos are a little older, but very clean and the grounds are nice. Whalers village and the other resorts are within walking distance. The beach is nice, due to there is a large lava rock (Black Rock they call it), which separates the Condos beach to the rest of the major hotels. When we were there, we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Only draw back, was there wasn't a resturant or bar on site, but there are a few within walking distance. Pool areas are clean and functional, nothing extravagant. If you are the type that needs a status or brag about where you are staying, than this isn't the place for you. If you want a clean and relaxing place to stay, with beautiful views and large rooms, than you might want to consider the Eldorado. We will be returning next year.

| We've stayed at this hotel twice. The first time we have a room on the golf course, with a fantastic view. The second time we were overlooking the garage, although we had mentioned when booking that we were on our honeymoon! Some rooms are better/more modern/better decorated than others. Nevertheless it is an ideal location for sun worshipers who don't like crowds and those who like snorkeling. It is also situated close to Lahaina, about 5' drive, where you can find many restaurants, bars and shops.

| We just got back from wonderful Maui and had a great time. I don't have anything bad to say about the resort...it was clean and quiet, beautiful surroundings but definately a budget resort. (we had a partial ocean view that was overlooking the pool and ocean way in the distance) Part of me wishes I had booked our trip in a more exclusive resort simply for more ambiance. But I did enjoy having the kitchen and washer/dryer...something we wouldn't have rec'd in a large hotel. (going home with a suitcase of clean clothes is a great thing) So yes, I would recommend this resort if you're trying to save on money and don't care for big beautiful swimming pools right on the beach. If you like quiet and simple, this is the place for you.

The only thing in it that wasn't new was the stove. Our room was right next to one of the 3 pools. There is plenty to do in the area and we would definitely go back.

| We got real lucky with a very nicely furnished and clean unit. It was a one bedroom, but was huge! The lanai was huge as well, with a table for 4 plus 2 lounge chairs. Very quiet location between a couple of holes on the Kaanapali Golf Course, but not within flying ball hazard. Kaanapali Beach was just a 5-minute walk away and use of the beach cabana was a big plus. Housekeeping service was subpar to start, but got better. Our only gripe was that we booked a partial ocean view, but did not have one.

We had a great partial view of the ocean; the walk to the ocean is not that far and is beautiful as the golf course winds through the grounds. If you don't mind cooking, the kitchen is adequately equipped so tuck in your bag a few staples. This was more of a time share unit than a hotel room. We would go back in a heart beat!

| The grounds were well kept. The condo was very spacious! The location was excellent! I expressly mentioned to the hotel at the time of my reservation that there were two adults not sharing a bed but when we arrived all they had to offer was a fold-out sofa or a cot. The maid service was very inconsistent. 1st day maid was insisting on cleaning the room before noon if possible, 2nd day no maid service until late afternoon (after 2PM), 3rd day late service(after 3 PM) amd not all of dirty linen removed, 4th day bed was sloppliy made and fold-out sofa not reassembled. Upon arrival appeared that Kitchen was hastily cleaned, all floors appeared to have been mopped with dirty water. I would only go back because of location and it's Maui and even this tolerable, but I would likely try someone else first. Good Security seemed evident and the staff were pleasant even if not very helpful. On the three consecutive days I saw the housekeeper, it was a different person. I had greater expectations because of the reviews I read before selecting this hotel. It was rated 3 1/2 stars, it has 1/2 star more than it should. It may have been just our room, it seemed to have been a unit that needed an upgrade but it had not ocurred recently. Per haps I should have complained to the management but it is not in my nature.

| The Outrigger provides a quiet safehaven surrounded by the greenbelt golf course. This is a welcome change from the congestion of hotels, condos, shops and restaurants that line the north-west shore of Maui. Besides the birds the only sounds heard consistently were the golfers teeing off. We had a view of two tee boxes, a couple of fairways, and a partial ocean view. Very strategically located next to the excellent snorkleing spot of Black Rock with sections of Kaanapali beach to the north and south. A great section of beach with stunning views of the island of Molokai. Green sea turtles could be found daily in the waters surrounding Black Rock and Humpback whales are easily viewed from the beach daily during season. If you want quiet and green, this is it!
