I stayed in a two bedroom ocean view suite. The suite was clean and spacious with all the necessities and many extras. A beautiful view of the ocean and great place for star gazing or just enjoying a glass of wine on a quite night with cool ocean breezes. The kids had a great time at the beach and pool and everyone enjoyed all that Maui has to offer. If you want to get away from the crowds (but not too far) this is the place to go.

The Kapalua Villas were everything one could ask for in a luxury condo experience. The view of the ocean from the Ridge villas multiple lanais was spectacular. Too bad we went in the summer and not in whale-watching season. Our condo was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was completely equipped for preparing meals (which you might want to do now and then). Villa renters have access to nearby hotel's facilities - check out the gorgeous pool.

I chose Kapalua for the golf courses and found that it is so much more. The staff at the Villas were courteous and quick to respond to all of my needs. The Ridge Villa that I was checked into was clean and comfortable and offered spectacular views of the the ocean from both lanais. I fell in love the very first day. The golf courses were challenging and spectacular. The three beaches were never over crowded and diving is Kapula Bay was unforgettable for a first time diver. The recreational activites offered seemed to be limitless and with each that I chose to take advantage of the service was excellent and the staff helped book everything. The beauty of the resort was breathtaking. If you are looking for a beautiful resort with great golf and lots of choices for dining and other activities, this is the place to stay when visiting Maui. I will be going back.....

Our stay at the villas was very nice. We had a great ocean view. Bring binoculars for whale watching. Free cable internet and phone calls local and long distance are are subject to a resort use fee. Good snorkeling is a short walk to Kapalua beach.

The Villas are great...a large 2br 3bath unit accomodated a family of 5 with plenty of patio/balcony space, a full kitchchen, and w/d. Fantasic location, best snorkelling on Maui steps away

Condo unit was very well appointed, exceptionally clean and kitchen was exceptionally well equipped for "lite" gourmet cooking. Overall, units here need to be refurbed to modern standards.

This hotel has beautiful grounds, nestled among the trees of the Kapalua Bay Golf Course Resort. (We stayed in the golf villas.) The condo units are two-story and are approximately 15 - 20 years old, but are well-maintained. Housekeeping is good--the rooms are kept very clean. It is located approx. 7 mis. from Kaanapali and 10 mis. from Lahaina. Good trails for walking/jogging.

For 3.5 stars, I was expecting much more. These villas need a complete overhaul. Our unit's carpets were filthy -- vacuumed, but spotted and dirty; walls were dirty; furniture was dirty. Appliances are old; paint was peeling from walls and showers. Unit had no window coverings on half the fairway-facing windows; they offered to switch us, but the other unit was just as shabby. Customer service was very good, but these units need serious deep-down cleaning and maintenance. We were disappointed; would not return.
