Great place for the value. The rooms are super big or extremely nice, but if you are traveling on a budget and want to stay right downtown it is a great deal. There is a Starbucks and McDonald's within a block.

I think the title says it all. The hotel and our room were just fine, but the people in the hall at all hours of the night weren't a welcome addition when we were trying to get some sleep. I'd happily stay there another time, or New Year's Eve if the sound-proofing between the rooms and the hallways was upgraded.

For the cost, I still think you could do better. The showers are too narrow, and the overall quality of the bathrooms is quite low. Most of all, the beds are hard as rocks. I thought it might be just me until another gentleman that was checking out told them how bad the beds were too.

We are students from overseas, my friend and I really enjoy this hotel. Although there is no breakfast included, a Mcdonal is just right in front of the hotel. Great place with a good budget! If you are looking for a perfect location right at downtown, Sixth Avenue will be the best for you. My friend and I just walk to everywhere because we don'e have a car. It was easy to catch metro since the hotel is just a block to the free-ride-zone!!!

This is a good budget place-an easy walk to Pike's market and it's a do-able walk to the Space Needle or the sports arenas(if the weather is cooperating). It's a little hard to find/get to because it's near downtown and everything is a one way. They were very nice to me-for some reason my expedia reservation wasn't there, so after seeing my confirmation they upgraded us to a king size bed on the top floor. A very decent restarant and lounge on site. All in all, a good experience (but you must have the windows closed, as the sirens are crazy!!!!).

I selected this hotel due to its proximity to the Paramount Theater. I am from the area and could have chosen to go without the hotel but decided it would make for a good evening out. The hotel was within in walking distance to everything I wanted to get to. The westlake shopping center, the pike place market, the Paramount and most of the shopping district include the Pike place market were ALL within walking distance. 3 blocks in any directions and you could find whatever you needed. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating: they allowed me to check in 2 hours early, and allowed me to remained parked without cost even after check out. Excellent! I easily saved money on parking just for those two reasons. Though this may not be the most ritzy hotel, its convenient and affordable with simple and effective accomodations. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The room was not luxurious but it was clean and comfortable. It is located such that we could walk everywhere we wanted in less than 20 minutes including the REI outlet, the Space Needle, and to the wharf with our luggage to get on a ship. The only problem we had is being charged again for our room when we checked out - we're still working that one out.

A good budget option if you want to stay right downtown. They have some maintenance issues - while I was there the hot water was unavailable for 4-6 hours one morning - and its no luxury hotel by any means but the rooms are kept quite clean and the staff is friendly. The location is quite close to the convention center and central to all the sights.

The only thing that was nice about this motel was the location. The bathroom was dirty--fingerprints on the door and stains on the floor and in the shower. The beds were rock hard (the person I traveled with had the same complaint). The room had a musty smell, like it was previously a smoking room. When we arrived, the window was open and we left it open the whole time we were there--the smell didn't improve. When we called down to the office for towels, they said they were "too busy" and we'd have to come get them. They charged $8 a day for parking, but you can come and go as you please. I saw a security guard walking around the parking lot one evening--which was nice to see. It's the perfect location, they just need to remodel (for the price we paid, they can afford it).

If you are looking for a low cost, no frills, hotel in downtown Seattle that is close to all the major downtown attractions, the Sixth Avenue Inn is a good choice. The only thing that we saw that might be a problem would be the limited parking spaces, but we never had a problem finding a spot and the hotel is within walking distance of several attractions so driving was not needed.

My son and I traveled to Seattle for the spring Yankees ~ Mariners series and stayed at the Sixth Avenue Inn for the second year in a row. The lobby staff are friendly and helpful with local advice and the housekeeping staff do a good job of tolerating two guys on a baseball roadtrip! We parked our car in the Sixth Avenue Inn private lot and walked to and from Safeco Field and also visited the many downtown attractions while on foot. The location is great for downtown pedestrian travel and the room rates are decent compared to other places downtown. We will be back for next year's spring Yankees ~ Mariners series!

This hotel was perfect for the price we paid. The location was great. It was within walking distance of Pike Place Market, the Monorail station and bus stations. You can skip the rental car, Seattle is very easy to get around. The restaurant had surprisingly tasty food - the pizza was excellent. The bathrooms were small (we chose the smaller shower) - which was even OK for my husband who is 6'5. The service was decent and the room size was perfect.

I wanted a hotel with a cheap rate in a good location, which it was. Walking distance to downtown,Pike's Market, space needle. On the down side, the carpet in room needed a vaccuum, a big chunk of unidentified something on bed spread, the shower head was about chin high, I didn't get a wake up call which I had made, instead i got a 3am wake up call by my DRUNK & LOUD next door neighbors playing and breaking things in the hallway. I phoned the front desk twice, a security guard appeared at my door 10 min. later as if I was the one making the noise. The loud neighbors continued on for about another 45 min. until I finally fell asleep. Again, good location and good rate but you get what you pay for. Another $50.00 per night may have gotten me a better nights sleep in Seattle.

Just a few block's from Seattle's Convention Center, the Sixth Avenue Inn is not impressive from the outside. Inside, it is clean and very well maintained, and in my experience the staff couldn't have been nicer. I only had breakfast at the restaurant, but it was very agreeable, too. If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodations in a very expensive place, check out this hotel.
