View was amazing - emerald-green glacial lake, with soaring mountains behind. There were at least 4 or 5 glaciers in the mountains. Service was impeccable, a little pricey but worth it.

A very nice hotel but expensive. We went at peak travel times and were amazed at the huge volume of people that come through the hotel for sightseeing. There are actually tour buses at chugging up the driveway before 7 AM and for people who sleep with the windows open...not ideal. Having said that the restaurants are great and the service is very good. Overall experience was good but know what your are getting yourself into.

Booked a courtyard view room got upgraded to a Lake Side! View is spectacular! Rooms are quite small, but amenities are decent. Wish they provided bottle water in rooms though. Went thru 4 floors of vending machines to search for bottle water...all sold out!! Also, safe in room doesn't work. Internet access worked fine.

Although, it was a nice hotel, for the money I paid for my room, I was not impressed. My room was very small, and did not offer any extra perks other than the free coffee and tea in room. It was very clean and great service. But it is overpriced for what you get.

The stay at the Fairmont was tremendous. From the moment the valet met us upon our arrival to the day of our departure. All the staff was courteous, efficient, prompt and professional. The concierge was very helpful in finding attractions in the area. The restaurants were all appetizing as well. You will not find a better value in regards to scenic view, accommodations and amenities. Highly recommended!

This hotel is second to none in North America in service. The entire staff is exceptionally well-trained and motivated to serve guests and be upbeat while doing it. The quality and taste of the facility are first class and traditionally British with a modern Canadian spin. It is the only hotel actually on the bank of Lake Louise and there could not be a better choice for this unique position.

Getting a lakeside room is worth the extra cost. Lake Louise is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The biggest drawback is the rooms don't have air conditioning, but that is rarely needed because of the elevation that generally produces mild temperatures in summer. The hotel is expensive, but it provides an unforgettable stay.

Exquisite setting on glacier fed Lake Louise surrounded by majestic Canadian Rocky mountains. The Expedia package was the best I found and the trip went without a glitch. The hotel personnel were friendly, courteous and efficient. One of the world's premier beauty spots. I was there in 1955 and finally was able to bring my wife after 49 years of marriage for her to enjoy. Her enjoyment was beyond words.

This hotel is beautiful, but the housekeeping service was poor. The room we were in obiviously hadn't been dusted in quite some time. Housekeeping didn't arrive until after 4:00 PM, and only came after I called. The next morning they were back at 8:00 AM, even though we asked that they come at noon.

This was our first real vacation (not business related)in 6 years and it was well worth the wait. The hotel was spectacular, but it's the warmth of the people who work there that really shines through. Every possible need we had was attended to with style, class and often times before we even anticipated it! From curbside to bedside we were treated like royalty. Maid and Room service were superb, food delicious and well presented, Concierge extremely well informed and articulate and everyone was friendly. One item we would have liked was an outside swimming pool, but we did enjoy the indoor pool and spa.

This is the place to stay if you want easy access to the lake every morning when you wake wake up. You won't regret that you pay for such a pricy room. The only thing we did not enjoy is the food services at the restaurants. The price is not cheap and the food quality is just so so. But I will come back for the million dollar view!

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Chateau very much. Yes the rooms are expensive but worth every penny for the view and hospitality. We booked a small room with a mountain view but we were upgraded to a junior suite when we arrived. We had never been there before. It was really beautiful and the hotel staff went out of their way to accomodate.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was outstanding. We were in the original building (not the new addition) and we loved it. All of the hotel staff that we came in contact with were very nice and went out of their way to make sure we had a great trip. The food was VERY expensive, but very good. When we go back to the Canadian Rockies, we will stay at the Chateau Lake Louise again, but will find some less expensive places to eat.

The hotel upgraded us at no extra charge to a Fairmont Gold room--a hotel within the hotel with its own check-in, lounge, continental breakfast and dinner snacks, CDs, games and books. My only recommendation is that travelers make dinner reservations at the hotel's restaurants as they are very busy.

It was more then you would expect to find in such a place that nurtures wilderness. But instead of tooting, which is easy, the few things I found lacking were the dining experience in most of the 5 restaurants...except for the fondue which again hit the mark in the less popular (I still don't know why) Wallister Stube. Overall extremely pricey and the massage I got was below par for the price, and I was rushed in and out. In NYC I could get the better treatment for a lower price, but I guess New York is cheap... The rooms are very nice and clean, the staff is also up to par and the surroundings are breathtaking. There are no real options for better dinning except for Banff which is about 45 min. away.

Hi, I've been travelling for many years and visit many countries. I can tell you this is one of the TOP places to visit and stay. Service is just incredible, almost perfect (just one drawback) but really this is the place to spend your vacations. Bed is incredibly comfortable, I think this is the first time I will miss a hotel bed. Valet parking is great, always happy and ready to help you. Reception guys really make you feel as an important person. Congratulations!!! Well, the only thing that we were not satisfied was that the bed was not folded correctly, we told reception and never sent someone to correct this. A minor thing considering everything else was perfect.

The front house of the hotel staff was incredible. Valet, concierge, bellman, front desk all were extremely friendly and helpful. Always willing to help and always smiling. Food Service was ok, not the best. Food was just average, expected alot more for the money and was not impressed. Food and beverage is very pricey!

I surprised my husband with a 30th birthday trip at the Fairmont Chateau, and we could not have been more pleased. From the moment we checked in, we felt at home. The room had a large comfortable bed with plenty of blankets and pillows. There was a flatscreen tv and plenty of closet space and shelves to hold all of our ski gear. We dined at many of the restaurants in the hotel, and each had friendly service and delicious food. The meal we had at the Fairview Dining Room was our favorite because of the quality of the food, the excellent service, and beautiful vies of the lake. The views all through out the hotel were breathtaking. Overall, the hotel and its staff made us wish we didn't have to leave. We will absolutely stay at this hotel when we return to Lake Louise.

We went to Chateau Lake Louise to celebrate New Years and my wife's birthday. We got a lake-view room, but unfortunately not a non-smoking room. But they did their best to clear the smoke out. The view was wonderful. It was a very romantic trip. We travelled without our kids, but were impressed by the number of events they had for kids over the hollidays so that the kids there didn't spoil the romance. We did several of the guided outdoor activities and enjoyed them all very much. We want to come back in both winter and summer.
