| The hotel bar scene is very hip, and filled with young professionals and very ecletic mix of guests. Rooms are comfortable and offer net access. Workout facility is subpar, so be sure to ask for one of the passes to the local YWCA.

| I've stayed at this hotel 3 times, all were great experiences. It has to be the hippest pet-friendly hotel in DC! Plenty of places to eat in walking distance, for all budgets. Front desk has a restaurant list, in order of proximity. If you're going to DC for a little fun and excitement, this hotel will be a great place to start!

| I took my husband on a surprise trip to DC and wanted to stay in a fun, hip hotel and the Helix fit the bill perfectly. I called ahead to inform them it was his b-day and they sent up champaign and chocolate covered cherries and blueberries. They also accomidated our early arrival no questions asked. Everyone was great and the lounge was a fun place to hang after we got back. We didn't even go out much cuz we prefered to stay in the lounge! If you are looking for a fun, different place to stay this is it!

| The Helix hotel is conveniently close to Dupont Circle near the corner of 14th and Rhode Island NW. It has a very active bar and Sunday morning brunch scene which we observed in passing, but did not particpate in. The room was nicely appointed with a comfortable sofa and the bed was in an alcove which could be screened off. It was very clean. The main draw back was a lousy shower (low water pressure). The elevator was also slow. The staff was very nice. The desk was the best business desk arranged for work at my laptop I have ever seen in a hotel. Good height and good size. The wireless internet service was slow but free. We would definitely go back if we could get the same reasonable price.

| Not a great place for a family, a little far to the metro station. Lobby and halls, elevator not as clean as I would expect. Very small bathroom. Not a good value for the cost. They did not have a record of our reservation.

| You can never go wrong, in my opinion, when you book at a Kimptom hotel and the Hotel Helix certainly lives up to that standard. From the free champagne every night to the friednly, knowledgable staff, the Hotel Helix should be your choice when travelling to Washington, DC.

| My husband and I went here for his birthday after a day at the Spy Museum. It was a blast. The rooms are full of character and the bar had loads of fun girly drinks. We went out to a few clubs in Adams Morgan and it was less than a $10 cab ride. Very convenient and a great getaway!

| We loved the Helix, the location is fabulous. The beds very super comfortable and the room was very clean. The Bathroom is really small and not suitable for a family. Also, make sure you aren't overlooking to patio, it gets real loud at night. Other than that, the staff is great and a market is right down the street so you save money by buying food and drinks.

| Clean but for the same price you can go to a hotel with a pool. We have children and wish we had done that. On the plus side it is clean, friendly and, best of all, right around the corner from Wholefoods, where we had most of our meals. Healthy and cheap - relative to a restaurant. The staff is very friendly; some more knowledgable then others about attractions and directions on how to get there. All in all clean and simple and SMALL.

| My girlfriend and I were just looking to get down to the Capitol and sight see, but this hotel made it so much more. The guys and girls in the Lounge were incredibly friendly and helpful! So much so that you felt like you knew them for years. They made us want to skip the D.C. nightlife areas and hangout with them instead. The rest of the staff were excellent as well. I can't thank them enough for trying to make my weekend in D.C. the best it could be. If you want a more modern feel to your room and a good place to hang out after walking the D.C. area all day, this is your place. Don't forget to take care of the Lounge staff. The girls are cute, the guys are funny as all hell and everyone is competent.

| OK so the hotel's two passenger elevators were scarcely available to the guests, but the place is hip. Great bar, funky design and its even got pez dispensers in the room's mini-bar. The front desk was very helpful. I've never stayed in a place that also doubled as a must-go night spot, so this was a great surprise. A good stay overall

| The service here was terrible. The staff ignored not only me but everyone else I saw as well. The elevator was broken and they never marked it and then when I asked where the stairs were the guy just walked off. My shower was almost broken and will break soon and my door would not lock unless you leaned against it. I would never stay here again

| The hotel has a very convenient wireless network in every room, however, there aren't any extra power outlets to plug your computer into. I had to plug a wire into the bathroom for power.
