My wife and I were very happy with this hotel and our room. We only stayed there one night, but we actually liked it a bit better than the big resort we had stayed at in Kaanapali the previous seven nights, mostly because it had a full kitchen (the Kaanapali one only had a microwave and fridge). We could have easily stayed there a full week.

My husband and I are not picky when it comes to hotels. The condo unit was relaxing and very peaceful outside. Sunset was great from our Lanai. My only disappointment was I forgot my wedding ring in the living room,so when we called from the airport, they said they had cleaned the room and did not find it...that ruined my trip because i know I left it.It was our honeymoon too...

The kitchen had a lot of space, and everything was clean. The washer & dryer was VERY well isolated and quiet.. could sleep with it running, 5 feet away. The AC took a while to cool the room, but once it got started it was good all week.

We had a pleasant stay at The Maui Banyan for the week of May 5 to the 12, 2006. Good location, the beach is just across the street. We had the one bedroom standard, and it was very nice and clean. Loved the fact that we had two restrooms, a washer/dryer, and a kitchen. We rented a car and loved the fact there was NO charge for parking like most of the other hotels. You can spend a lot more money if you are looking for lavish lobbies, marble floors, and fine art through out the hotel. If you just need a nice clean, decent place to stay while you enjoy most of your time on the beach, then I would recommend The Maui Banyan. We had a late flight scheduled our last night, and loved the fact that we could arrange a late (6:00 pm) check out for a small fee. They had very nice and helpful employees at the front desk. I look forward to staying here on my next visit to Maui.

A nice place to stay in Kihei. Pool is adequate but not big enough for kids to play.

We recently stayed four nights at the Maui Banyan. After checking the room, our request for one king in the master turned out to be two doubles. The solution by the staff was to put the two together and put king sheets on them. Only problem was the two beds were different heights. I requested t speak to the hotel manager but she was not available. We left a message on her "voice mail" but were never contacted and no message was left on our phone. As I said, the staff had no further solutions for us and were not interested. Also, no airconditioning in the master suite made one night very uncomfortable even with all the windows and doors open. "Daily Maid Service" was marginal with sheets being changed every three days. The linens were old and would have been more comfortable if changed each day. The bed spreads were old and way too large for the beds. No lamp in the master bedroom. With the two dumpy beds, there was no room in there! Fortunately while in Maui, you aren't in your room much but I expected more for our money than was given at this facility.

If you're looking for a a good deal, this was a great condo. They were very clean, no bugs, and maids cleaned every day. The one we had was surprisingly spacious and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We saved a lot on food by cooking in. Great location too. Pretty beaches right across the street and really close to GORGEOUS Wailea. Kihei by far is the best place to stay in Maui- it was much quiter than Kaanapali and closer to better beaches in Wailea. Overall, it was a good place.

All the condos are different. The first one we went in had a persistently leaky toilet, non-functional washer and dryer and the most revolting interior decorating imaginable (made you want to leave early every day). We switched to another which was much nicer so overall we were comfortable, the front staff very helpful, and the location great. Lots of good restraunts nearby and beach across the street. I would not go back due to poor outfitting of the kitchen. I tend to cook to save $ and they didn't even provide basics. Otherwise it would have been 100% convenient

We had the 2-bedroom condo and it slept 5 adults+1 baby comfortably. It could have slept 2 more adults on the couch bed. The only thing was that the master bedroom had doors that opened up to the t.v. room, but the doors had glass panels, so there was no privacy to those staying in the master room. Great location in Kihei; you can walk to the beaches and restaurants.

This condo facility has most of what a home has, as far as basics. I like the washer/ dryer included, this place is well groomed, very clean. The particular unit we occupied has air conditioning cooling issues, one speed that barely cooled the living room. The washer / dryer could use a check up or a check out as it did poor at best.I think that's particular to this unit. Overall nice, clean and I would return.

I had been told to not expect what the pictures showed in terms of the rooms, but found them to be exactly as pictures via the hotel website. The rooms were big and comfortable, with nice kitchen. Not too fancy, but great for what we needed. Very quiet, and only 5 minutes from the beach. Rooms were only cleaned every 3 days, but towels were changed daily. A great deal for the price. Close to beach and shopping. Have already booked for next year.

We spent 12 days at the Maui Banyan. The condo was very nice. We did not like the view from our unit so they promptly moved us to another unit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a great place to grill out with gas grills. It was really nice having a washer and dryer. The beach was across the street. We will definitly stay here again.

The exterior of the hotel was great along with the pool. Although the condo that we stayed in was not what I expected. It was a as cleanly as the pictures shown but after seeing that each condo was uniquely different I would not mind staying here again.
