| This was the first "real vacation" my husband and I have had since we have been married. We celebrated our 13th anniversary while we were in Cozumel. We reall enjoyed our stay at the Fiesta Americana. The hotel was always kept clean and we always had what we needed. The staff were very friendly and would try to help the best they could. We really enjoyed having the dive house directly across from the hotel. We also liked the fact that the hotel was outside of the city just enough that it was quiet. The only downfalls we could see to the hotel was that there were only 2 dining areas. Otherwise this hotel was very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cozumel.

| This is a nice hotel. We didn't get the all inclusive offer and I'm glad we didn't because it gave us the flexibility to try different places to eat. The food at the hotel was ok. The facilities were clean and the staff helpful.

| This hotel needed more activities for family. The beach at the hotel was really rocky. The food menu was the same every day.

| We had a great time at Fiesta Americana and did not go with the "all inclusive" option. We were really glad because the food at the hotel wasn't worth the price and we loved going into town to the local restaurants.

| I just returned from a few days at the Fiest Americana. Overall the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Cleanliness and neatness were everywhere. My room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was a little hard, but so are all of the beds in Cozumel. I did not go "all inclusive" and I should have. I found the menu items and buffets to be very expensive, but there again, so are all hotels. There is no direct beach access to the water, as with most of the hotels in Cozumel, so if running along the beach and into the water is your fantasy, this is not the place to be. There is a great built up, man made beach area, though. They have a dive company in the resort and a pier that allows other dive companies to pick you up direct. Town is only a $6.00 cab ride away. I would definitely stay at this resort again.

| The hotel accomodations were nice, but not overly impressive. The food was mediocre and a little overpriced, but everyone was very helpful, very friendly and helped us get the most out of our stay. The service was really impressive. The staff really took care of us.

| Hotel was great. We stayed in a casita which is away from the main hotel, but the rooms are slightly larger. Service was great, hotel staff very friendly. Pool area well maintained and clean, same for lobby. Snorkeling off the beach was okay, but since we went for the diving, we didn't really care about this too much.

| All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The bed was hard (as I had previously heard it would be). The only thing I would change, would be to not stay in the casitas.

| I had high expectations of this hotel from the other reviews I had read. When we arrived though, it just felt very tired - the whole place was in desperate need of a refurbishment. Most horrifying was the smell of raw sewage that greeted us walking to and from the casitas, which became a standing joke with the residents, but which the front desk claimed no knowledge of. Overall we had a good time though. The diving was great, the dive masters all very knowledgeable and friendly. Was worth it just for that.

| "We arrived in Cozumel early so that we could go swimming unfortunately we were not given a room until 4hrs after we arrived by then it was dark. So our trip started on a sour note, and the food was mediocre at best. I do not recommend the all inclusive unless you plan to hit the bar alot that would be the only way to make it worth it. About the only thing we liked about the hotel was the snorkeling. We saw many different tropical fish, sting rays, and even an eagle ray. On our next trip to Cozumel we plan to stay somewhere else.

| Fiesta Americana Cozumel Dive Resort was everything we wanted it to be. It was clean, comfortable, had a nice pool and beachfront, and was very convenient for diving. It is not the most luxurious resort I've ever stayed at and the beachfront is not the most beautiful I've ever seen. And I definitely recommend skipping the all-inclusive option - - especially if you're a vegetarian. But the staff couldn't have been nicer and the diving experience was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

| Located 3-4 miles south of San Miguel ($6 cab fare + tip), the Fiesta Americana is just far enough away from the cruise terminals to serve as a secluded tropical getaway. The lobby is classy, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are nicely appointed -- and each one faces the ocean. We were very happy with our room and its understated furnishings. Each room has a balcony that overlooks the pool/commons/beach area. The hotel has a large, multi-tiered pool. They even have one of those bars where you can sit at the pool's edge and order a drink. The beach is bisected from the hotel/pool by the road that leads to San Miguel. Traffic on the lightly used road crawls through thanks to a smart system of speed bumps. The beach area, although not a long stretch of sand, is still very nice. The man-made beach sits 5-6 feet above the water so you need to use a stairway if you want to go for a swim(typical at many Cozumel hotels). Installations at the beach include a very good restaurant, a dive shop, and a pier. The Dive House dive shop has some of the bigger boats that head out to the reefs, so if you're prone to motion sickness, you might be better off with them. Good dive masters too!

| The Fiesta Americana Hotel and Dive Resort was superb. The staff catered to every whim. The restuarant was a bit pricey but the food was great. I did not do the all inclusive because I like to hang with the natives and eat where the natives eat. We did have the spectacular Italian buffett one night and we ate until stuffed. We had room service and sat on our balcony one night. Life is good. The Fiesta makes the best Club Sandwich on earth!!!!!!

| This has been a fine property, but the property at the time of our visit (early November 2004) was in need of repair in several areas. Roof tiles were missing and busted. One of the dining facilities was closed for remodeling and a second dining area was closed leaving only one available. The bathrooms at the beach area were closed for repair during our week there and there appeared to be no effort to get them open. The air conditioner in our room was extremely noisy. The food at the one restaurant open was very good but fairly expensive. Service was good. The grounds, pools, beach and snorkel areas were terrific.
