| It had been several years since I stayed at your hotel. During the late 80s and early 90s, I visited Washington, DC for business purposes on a yearly basis and stayed at your hotel. I always enjoyed my stay and being right in the midst of things happening in the area. I was very excited about having the opportunity to stay there again and I enjoyed my stay.

| While the hotel was clean and the staff friendly the room size for this caliber hotel was small. There was a $14/day/person extra charge to use the pool/health club area. Only 4 blks to Union Station & the Capital it was too far from most other sites (Nat'l Mall, White House, etc.) Great hotel if you have business on the Hill but not one I'd recommend for families seeing the sites.

| Our room was suppose to be 2 full size beds it was not ready they said 30 minutes and still was not ready, so we had to take a roll away bed and a queen size bed. That was the best they could do after an hour wait so we took it. They said they are very busy and the rooms were not all clean. They said we could keep waiting or take that room.

| Thsi is a very nice hotel with really nice rooms. Don't plan on using the pool unless you want to pay a "nominal" fee. Also, they don't allow food delivery into the hotel so the have their own pizza parlor. Don't order from the pizza parlor unless you are used to eating rubbery, cafeteria style pizza. Not worth it. Search before your trip for a few local spots for food. Otherwise, good service and very clean.

| there were a ton of teenagers staying there and the hotel staff just let them run wild. every night on our floor they were running up and down the corridor shrieking like monkeys. we called the reception desk. they did little or nothing, because the noise did not stop. also, you will get nickeled and dimed to death at this hotel. they have a pool, but it costs you $14 extra to use it. if you consume beer or wine in your room, make sure you hide the bottle in an outside trash can, or they will charge you a cork fee. the list goes on. i would stay somewhere else next time.

| The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful, but our room was across the street from the fire department that also deployed an ambulance -- at any hour of the day or night. The hotel was close to the Capitol and the Mall. We could walk to most of the attractions. The bar was situated in the lobby, next to the restaurant, with only a wooden screen for a divider. You could never get away from the smell of cigarette smoke. There was a fee to use the health club-- fair enough, but you also had to pay to use the swimming pool. Apparently, if we had payed a higher rate we would have had some of these things included, but we were never informed of this when we made our reservations, or at check-in. The little extras you usually get ---coffee, newspaper, these all cost extra. Also, this hotel does have suites, but there was no mention of this on the expedia web site. We would have gladly taken a suite while travelling with our two children.

| As with most large hotels, the front desk service at check in is rushed and not friendly just because there are constantly people qued up looking for service. As a result, the lobby is very noisy and crowded. Its a good hotel as long as you are not looking for charm and an unhurried staff. Concierge was very friendly and helpful.

| This hotel is not what I remember, during my young days, when I was just a novice on travel, 20 years and many travels under my belt,I was rather underwhelmed. For a modern higher end chain, it does not seem to have the modern conveniences such as "Bills on TV" , Express Check out. The location is not that convenient - not really close to anything, but close enough that it is silly to take a cab, i.e : Smithsoniam, nearest metro stop is about 10 minute walk for the old. The extra's such as valet parking , dining, coffee is way too expensive for warrent the comfort. It does not warrant the regular rack price that they charge during the week. For the weekenders, as long as walking to get coffee in the morning, the value is there for the room rahter small for today's standard, and no bath tub, only shower at the room that we stayed. (I never thought to ask - when the regular rack rate was about mid ranged/night. that they made a room only with a shower, unlike many a place in Europe, room only with shower is reserved for the budget conscience.

| This hotel was clean and the people working were very nice. The one thing i did not like was all the extra charges. There was a charge to make local calls, charge to use pool and workout facilities, and the water bottles in the room were $3.75 a piece for an ordinary 20 oz bottle of water. The least they could do is give them to you complementary. But if you are looking for a place to crash that is clean, cheap, comfortable, well maintained, and in the city then I recomend this hotel.

| I made my reservation the day before arrival. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire hotel scheme; service was outstanding and the room accomodations were superb. I had an issue with my room key and within 3 minutes a member of the hotel staff was up to my 9th floor room to check the problem and he proceeded to have a new key made and hand delivered it within 5 minutes. I did not dine at their restaurant and cannot comment on such. I highly recommend this fabulous hotel!

| My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt on 4/28/06. As most of the positive reviews here have stated (which I read before booking our stay), our experience was very good overall for the price and especially, the location. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room/hotel was quite good. I was aware of the potential noise from the street due to the proximity of the hotel to a fire station, but we fortunately had a quiet nite. For those simply sightseeing within the general area, I recommend taking advantage of the 24 hr parking at the hotel and walk or take the public transportation to get around.

| I've never slept on more comfortable beds, or had such nice pillows in a hotel. The hair dryers are another plus. They're full sized just like the one you use at home. The soap, shampoo and lotions provided by the Hyatt are a step above most. BUT...if you want a bottled water, you'll pay $4.00! Find another place for meals and incidentals.

| Hyatt Regency gave us superb service. They were eager to help us in any way they could. The room was like a home away from home and we were completely satisfied. The only hitch was the cost of hotel food-- The high cost for the restaurant was expected, but the breakfast/snack/pizza counter was a little steep. Ten dollars for a ham sandwich and $12 for a foot square pizza was a little outrageous. I fully recommend the hotel otherwise.

| Pros: The Hyatt Regency was a convenient place to stay. You are three blocks away from Union Station from where you can board the Amtrack and metro. This is one of the places you can buy your tickets for the Trolley Tour, day and night tours, and this is the starting point for both as well. We had a positive experience with the hotel food however it was a bit expensive. Union Station has several places to choose from for your eating enjoyment. There are two in particular that we enjoyed, both are located on the first floor, in front of the book store (they open at 6:00 a.m.). Breakfast was great there and very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Cons: The only drawback, during our stay, were the number of highschool students who stayed on the same floor as us. They were extremely noisy even after I contacted Security. We were also located in the front side of the hotel where the taxi drivers wait for customers. You could hear them talking as well as their dispatch radios. The firehouse is also in front of the hotel and they received many calls while we were there as well as the paramedics.
