| The room is clean and new. The location is good. Close to Waikiki beach, restaurant and shopping center. The staff are nice and helpful. We have a pleasant time to stay there.

| Not the most luxurious place but a good value and location. The main complaint we had was we had to wait on elevators frequently during the mornings and evenings. The hot water during showers had some fluctuation but it was tolerable. We found the breakfast buffet to be good and daily consistant for what we needed to get out of the way prior to going on with the day. The charge for room safes seemed petty but worth the expense. Everywhere you go you are warned about valuables in your vehicles and other but not many alternatives available to store them.

| It's an older hotel, with some updates. The air conditioning (when working) is awesome. We stayed here upon arrival in Waikiki for 1 night and then again upon returning from our cruise for 2 nights. The beds are pretty comfortable, but the bottom sheet is not a fitted one, so it comes undone easily. The air conditioning worked well on our first stay, but the second stay it wasn't working, which made it miserable. We contacted the front desk and maintenance was up within 10 minutes or less. They fixed the problem. The breakfast buffet is overpriced for what is offered, we'd suggest going to the Denny's next door for the same type of food and lower prices. The internet is a joke. Not only did the keyboard not work (batteries were dead), but the tv screen was fuzzy, so you could hardly make out the website. We'd suggest you go down one block to the Wiki Wiki Internet Cafe for full speed internet. We'd stay there again, as a layover, but probably not as a destination hotel.

| Impressed that my ocean view REALLY WAS an ocean view! Great location right next to the International Market. (Always knew how to get back to the hotel w/out remembering streets.)

| Check it out, it might not be on the beach but you are so close to it there is an opportunity to navigate the heart of Waikiki on your travels to the beach. Otherwise this thing is in a prime location, I mean right in the heart of the town. I am from Maui and may not need to have the ocean front since I get it all day anyday however that doesn't lesson the functionality of this facility. Hey you are in Hawaii, what the heck are you doin sitting in your hotel anyways. Aloha

| This is our fourth stay in the Miramar and we've enjoyed all of them. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The included sit-down, all-you-can eat breakfast is excellent. The employees are always there to help and are very friendly.

| Miramar is great! Pleasantly surprized! Yes, everything the last reviewer wrote is true. This hotel is in walking distance of everything you need...no need for buses or car hire (unless you want to drive out of town and around the island). There's a grocery store with alcohol section, and a convenience store with big bottles of water for only $1 and several restaurants right across the street and nearby. Waikiki Beach (with surf lessons) and the Kuhio end of the Beach are only 5 minutes walk. You couldn't ask for a better location for the money. The International Market next door is especially convienent and fun. They have free Hula shows (not the best but still fun). The breakfast offers eggs, bacon/sausage/ or hash, pastries, fresh fruit, ceral, salad & pasta (very strange indeed, seems to be for the asia clients), asian soups and seaweed, and lots of fresh cantelope, honey dew, pears, and pinapples, good coffee (not starbucks though) and juices. The beach towels are frayed, but oh well. Everything else was clean and new looking.

| The hotel room was nice, and for a non-beachfront hotel, the location is really good - right in the center of the action in Waikiki.

| My friend and I were very happy to find out how close the hotel was to everything. We walked to the beach, bars, restaurants, and shops. We only needed to take The Bus only once and cab once. The room was fine for the price we paid. Water temperature of the shower was not stable, and that's the only complaint we had about the room. Breakfast was included, but it was nothing special. The good part of breakfast was fresh fruit, and we enjoyed them very much every morning. (In other word, I wasn't going to waste my calorie intake on some blur pastries.) If you ask for decaf, they will bring you instant coffee granules and hot water. Very bad news for those who drinks decaf specially when you're in a place that is known for its famous Kona coffee. The staff were all very friendly and their service was good. I did wish they would have newer looking towels for guests to bring to the beach. A lot of them were frayed. And they should just include the fee for the safe in the room rate instead of charging their guests $2.25 per day. I've stayed in many hotels, and Miramar is the only hotel that charged me for using a safe.Miramar is a good hotel for those who come back to their hotel rooms just to sleep. My friend and I were out every day and night, so it worked out great for us.
