Very courteous and professional staff. Would have preferred more variety of eateries but overall not bad for my first travel there.

| I was reading before I left that the hotel was run down and needed and update and to our pleasant surprise that is exactly what they are doing. It also wasn't run down or in that bad of shape. We had a room in the casino tower that was completely redone. Everything was new so I have no complaints about the room. They were doing construction but it didn't bother us at all, we couldn't even hear it unless we were traveling through the hotel. The Wyndham itself was clean and in great condition. Service wasn't great but I think that's par for the islands, they move on island time. The pool and the beach were beautiful and the casino was as good as any other casino I have been to. If you are looking for a great place to stay at an affordable price this was perfect.

| The rooms were clean, and staff was helpful. They appear to be renovating soon. Pool was nice, Great Fresh Fruit Rum Bar across the street, and affordable restraunts nearby, mini straw market across the street. Snorkeling was great on the reef nearby, Family had fun parasailing. They need to update the kids pinball and video game room, most was broken down and not working, even the pool table was broken, which were things we tried to do with the kids at night. I would go back in a heartbeat.

| This hotel is a decent value with the exception of food and drink. The rooms are clean, good service, people are friendly and you can find places to just relax. I personally wish they could let up on the music on the beach for more relaxation. Get out early to reserve your chaise - but don't be stingy! Lots of families vs. teenagers next door.

| The service is mediocre and amenities at this hotel are vastly overpriced. Watery rum drinks for $7 from the poolside bar, $12 for bagels and a cup of coffee, and they wanted $1.50 for the sprinkles on my son's ice cream! Plus the pool was out of commission two of the four days we were here. Stay here if you have no other options or like casinos, but otherwise look for a smaller inn away from Cable Beach.

| The workers were extremely rude. One situation of many... The bell hop brought 3 small bags up to my room. I went to hand him a tip. He apperently did not like the amount. He says just loud enough for me to hear, "Good god man!" Then he stared at me with a disgusted look while he walked out of the room. I am not a cheap person. I gave him a good tip but he expected more. That set off the vacation in a bad way. I experieinced other rude incidents but I only have 1500 character max. I do not recommend this hotel!!!!

| For the price, this is not a good value at all (but is any place in the Bahamas??). The hotel looks and feels like it was designed by an amateur architecht back in the 70's. The service is abysmal and the taxes-slash-service charges are never ending ($15 per day/per person, etc). The casino is ghetto, the beach small, and help is obnoxious and unfriendly.

| Although I read critical statements about this hotel I experienced just the opposite. It was a very nice and relaxing place to stay. We spent this past New Years Eve there (Dec. 30 - Jan 2) and had a great time. There is a lot of work going on but it never once disrupted our stay in any way. Just remember to take a little extra money for eating expenses. Its a little pricy.

| For all those people who complain about this hotel even the slightest, are just those people who complain about everything. This isn't a 5 star hotel, so go with the proper expectations. This was a perfect place for someone not wanting to spend a ton but get the resort experience. Yes there are renovations, yes the hotel is older. But you won't find a better staff who are genuinely interested in you having a memorable experience. Oh and the views... breathless.

Lots of activities were also available. Dolphin encounters was the most fun and well worth the dollars for families. We plan to come back and pay the extra dollars to actually swim with the dolphins.

| I have been going to this hotel for over 20 years. This Hotel is a great value. If you are looking for lavish rooms and suites you need to go to Paradise Island. The people here are friendly and very helpful. When it comes to the food on property, they are not afraid to ask for your money. I would recommend trying the local fare at Arawak Cay. If you don't mind spending a little money, the food in the Steakhouse in superb. During the day there is plenty to do or nothing to do...it is up to you. My only complaint is thatthe pool was very , very cold. All in all it is a great place to stay and my wife and I will definitely be going back.

The service at the restaurants was slow and the majority of the servers were rude. The hotel often ran out of towls to use in the beach area. Also it was difficult to find a chair at the beach.

| My family and I stayed at the Wyndham the week before Easter. It was ok if you like "Spring Breakers" but the hotel was accomodating in assigning us to rooms in a tower that was quiet and we heard no noise at all. The suites are ok, but not worth the extra money because the standard rooms are big enough. If you plan on going to the casino or the restaurants, request to stay in the tower closest to those areas. The spa was nice but I do not recommend the massages because all that I could hear was the noise coming from the beach. We would return to the Wyndham but would also consider staying at an all inclusive resort because the food is ASTRONOMICAL.

| My husband and I went here for our anniversary and enjoyed it very much. Our room was on the top floor in tower F so we had a great view of the ocean. The hotel is older so there was some paint chipping in the bathroom and the toilet looked a little worn. However, the room was still clean and bright and the furniture was in good condition. We also felt very comfortable leaving valuables in the room. The restaurants in the hotel were very expensive (slice of pizza $6.75) but the restaurant next door, Cafe Johnny Canoe, was amazing and well priced. (HUGE hamburger with a side, enough for two, $9.) The desserts there are delicious too. Another tip is to use the ATM across the street from the hotel, Scotiabank, because it doesn't charge a service fee. The one in the hotel charges $5 per transaction. There is also a Scotiabank downtown near the Straw Market.

| Overall the hotel was good, and we had a lot of fun. The staff is really easy going and they even have an mc and music during the day at the pool. On the flipside, although the hotel itself was reasonably priced, the food and drinks in the hotel are rediculously expensive and I'm from NYC. However, beer and food seemed to be overpriced everywhere on the island. All the food was really good though.

| not impressed. besides the poolside grill, the food was subpar and overpriced. the "duty-free" liquor store in the hotel was overpriced, and always closed during the day because the staff was "on break". (Buy your alcohol downtown on the first day). finding a chair at the pool was nearly impossible, to the point where people would place items on chairs after leaving the bar the night before to reserve a chair for the next day. the reason being is that the hotel lets the cruise ships use the pool during the day. getting a towel at the pool took a minimum wait of at least 30 minutes (this happened on four separate occasions). the "private beach" is a man-made cove that keeps the water stagnant and therefore stinks. Broken skylights in the lobby had still yet to be repaired after the hurricanes that had passed six months prior. The rumor around the hotel was that the hotel had been sold, explaining the lack of care and ammentities. If you haven't figured it out by now, i don't recommend the crystal palace.

| The hotel is in need of some renewing but efforts are under way to spruce it up a bit. There are eatery choices just outside the hotel for those not wanting to spend a large amount each meal. The pool bar seems to close too early(common for the hotels here) and drinks are pricey but quite good. There is not alot of access to the beach from this hotel. Otherwise, the location is fine and it's easy to jump a bus or taxi into town or hang out and take in the casino.
