| The hotel was conveniently located for my business and the fact that I had a kitchen was excellent. I also liked having a gym (and both times I was in the gym I had it completely to myself!)

| Only a few blocks from Grand Central and easy to get around, but not the best place to stay. The hotel is old, tired and in need of some updating. The formica furniture in my room was worn and chipped. But, on a positive note, the room was clean, the kitchen small but usable, and hotel staff courteous. Only one elevator was working so the wait for the one elevator was sometimes 10 minutes in busy times. OK for a place to sleep, but not what one would expect from a good NY hotel.

| Room was decent and VERY spacious. However, there was a strong cigarette smoke smell outside and inside the room, even though we had a non-smoking room. Also there are only two elevators. And for half of the time staying there, only one worked, so if you are in a hurry, plan an extra 5-10 minutes to wait for the elevator. Proximity was decent to other things, but I had the hardest time getting a cab to take me from the Wall Street area back to my hotel. No one wanted to make the drive. You have to take FDR, which is more expensive, but faster.

| We stayed at this hotel between Christmas 2005 and New Years 2006. The room was a converted apartment room. There was room for 6 and a full kitchen. There are only 4 or 5 rooms per floor. The only problem was the elevator service. We were on the 24th floor (out of 25) and most days, at least one was not working. Despite that, we would stay again. We felt safe and walked around the neighborhood at all hours of the day and night.

| This hotel was well priced for a midtown hotel, and I consider myself lucky to have found it. The hotel could use renovations, however I wouldn't refer to it as rundown. It is as well-kept as possible for a hotel of its type. Our room was comfortable, and everything inside it was in good working condition. The staff was helpful, and I would recommend this hotel for folks looking for an affordable place in NYC to rest their hats while they tour the city.

| Traveling as a single woman on a business trip I did not feel safe or comfortable in my hotel room. The room was terribly outdated and dark. My room was in the corner and next to the stairwell although I specially requested to be far away from the stairwell. Thankfully, bc this was a business trip, I did not spend any more time in my room than absolutely necessary. I would NOT suggest this place to business or leisure travelers and I will not stay here again.

| Eastgate is nicely located only about 3 blocks to the subway system. With our family of 5 the suite was fantastic!! Rooms are spacious and very adequate. Suites include a nice kitchen with basic amenities, living room with hide-a-bed, 2 large bedrooms, 2 baths. Lots of room for at least 6 to have a comfortable stay. Friendly and helpful staff. And the price is very reasonable in this part of the city. If we return to NYC anytime soon, this is where I'd choose to stay! I recommend it highly for a family stay.

Within a couple of blocks you could get to Grand Central for the subway (by the way not only the cheapist but the easiest way to get around),McDonalds,Dunkin Donuts and starbucks. Very safe and convenient location with a great staff. Not plush...but for the service, location and size, a great value!

| For New York, this hotel was unbelieveable. We were in a two bedroom suite - both bedrooms were very large - two bathrooms - a dining room - small kitchen - and huge living room. We were able to save money by cooking at least one meal at "home" per day. Furnishings were nice - not luxury level - but nicer than I'd expected. Location was great - safe - relatively convenient - easy walks to most areas we wanted to see. Overall - this was a great value for the size and convenience. Great for a family or large grouup.

| I recently stayed at the Eastgate for a week-long business trip and found it to be a very comfortable, friendly, convenient hotel. The location was perfect for me and my colleagues -- not in the middle of a congested touristy area but still within a quick walk or cab ride to anywhere in Manhattan. Plus it's quite close to the Queens/Midtown tunnel which was great since we had meetings out in Queens and Long Island. My room was quiet, with very little traffic noise (almost no sirens!). It was also extremely spacious. The wireless Internet worked fine and the kitchen made it possible to eat breakfast without going out. I went to the fitness room a couple of times ... it was basic but had a treadmill, two stairmasters, free weights, and a universal weight machine. Located within a few blocks of the hotel are several good restaurants, fast-food places, grocery stores, a movie theater, etc. etc. The staff were *extremely* courteous. I would definitely stay there again!

| This is an ok hotel. The big attraction is that it is across the street from the ferries. It has laundry room that was convenient. Breakfast is ok. Our shower/tub drain was clogged, and they never fixed it while we were there (3 days). The room was big, which was nice. Hyannis hotels were generally expensive, we were looking for something affordable without getting too dingy. This was an ok place for that.

| Great bang for the buck, especially if you are travelling with an infant or toddler. The extra space and the presence of a kitchen can make all the difference in the world! The staff is probably the most courteous and responsive that I've experienced! The building is a bit dated and the elevators are kind of slow, but these factors shouldn't stop you from staying here---they certainly won't stop me from returning!

After returning from my trip, I have already recommended Eastgate to my friends and acquaintances. I was fully satisfied with everything. The most important thing is reasonable price. I stayed at 4-star hotel in NY before but Eastgate is absolutely better. If I have a chance to visit NY again, I will stay there again. I would like to express my appreciation to hotel staff.

| My family and I went to NYC for Memorial Day weekend. (Best weekend to go to NYC because NOBODY is there!) There were 8 of us so we got the 2 bedroom apartment. We were scared when we first walked in because of the tiny lobby and only 2 elevators, but we walked into the room and wow! 2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom with a HUGE living/dining area and a FULL kitchen. 8 people and not cramped one bit. A great stay if you have a lot of people. The staff was very helpful to all our needs. (i.e. Our flight didn't leave NYC till 10pm but check out was at noon. They held ALL our bags for free so we could come back and get them.) Great place, great location, great stay!

| I came to New york city for a long weekend with five of my girlfriends. We booked a room with Eastgate towers online, not really knowing what to expect, but hoping for something decent. Well our expectations were certainly exceeded. When we first walked into the suite, we could hardly believe our eyes. It was more like a fully-furnished, fully-equipped apartment than a hotel suite. The two bedrooms slept the six of us perfectly, the two bathrooms came in handy for six women, the kitchen was useful for preparing our breakfast, the living room with plenty of plush seating was comforting after long days of walking, the dining room table gave us a great place to eat, and the three television sets ensured that we would all be able to keep up with the changing weather and news of the day. The location can't be beat either! It's just a couple of blocks from Grand Central Station, and within walking distance to Times Square, the Empire State Building, Central Park, and the East River. The quality of service was top notch and we were all very impressed and pleased! We would highly recommend this place for any group that wants to have an affordable, spacious, comfortable, and clean place to stay to help complete their new york city experience.

| The two bedroom suite we had was really comfortable. You aren't really a lot of time on your room but when we were, we had a place to sit down, talk and relax together (the four of us). And the bedrooms were separated. The only drawback is that one of the bedrooms has two individual beds so my husband and I had to pull the beds together. But for the price, it was great.

| We stayed in a 2 bedroom-2 bath suite, which was like an apartment. Each bedroom had two beds and a TV and a huge closet. A living room and dining area and a separate kitchen w/all the amenities. After running around all day, going back to the apartment was like going home, everyone could spread out and do whatever they wanted. All 4 of us really enjoyed the stay and it is pretty close to everything. I felt very safe in this neighborhood at night. The only complaint I would have is that they charge or hold money on your credit card even when you ask and are told they will not put a hold on your card, so be prepared.

We had such a hard time finding a place to stay in the city that didn't charge a ton extra for extra guests or a place that only allowed 2 adults. Grand Central is only 4 blocks away. Cabs also pass the hotel often. The hotels have good ktichens with full height or half height refrigs, stoves, ovens, microwaves and sinks. This is perfect if you prefer to save money by having some meals in the room. There is a supermarket, Starbucks, Mcdonalds, Dunken Doughnuts, Au Bon and news paper stand all within 2 blocks. They also had enough cable stations to keep me entertained when in the room.
