I'd seen pictures of the hotel online, but was still surprised at nice the hotel was in person. The hotel was actually an apartment. The rooms were large and airy. I felt so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. The development was very clean and always quiet. The amenities were great for me and the kids. I'd definitely go back.

Everything was just great except for two things: About two weeks before arrival date, I called them to check on my reservation. They never did find it but Expedia got them to acknowledge that they had it and it was confirmed. The other problem was in the room when we arrived. The toilet flushing system was broken and the water in the water closet was running strongly. They fixed it the day after our arrival but I had to call them twice to get it done.

I totally recommend this hotel to travelers with kids because it was so spacious. I was extremely impressed with my Villa. It was one of the newer ones. There were 2 adults and three children (8 year old and twins 6 years old) in my party. The kids slept comfortabley on the pull out couch (Full size) and my husband and I had a king bed in our private bedroom. The villa was equipped with everything you would have at home and the pots and dishes weren't the cheap stuff, good quality non-stick pots. Washer/Dryer/iron/toaster/blender. All the comforts of home. A full size fridge, which we had filled to capacity. Very Nice ! There were about 7 pools on the property, very clean and towels provided. I will use them again for sure.

the hotel rooms and recreational areas are very nice, but when 2 out 3 employees treat you like you're nuisance, it is a definite reason not to come back-it seems there are not enough employees and when you ask for something they let us know that they are shorthanded and therefore not able to service you,, we should of called ahead of time to see if it was fully staffed or what???

First the place is very pleasing to the eye upon arrival, similar to modern cul-de-sac style. We arrived 3 hours early and our room was not available. And that was fine since it gave us a chance to drive around and see what was nearby. Lots of restaurants, discount stores and pharmacies. Our teens had a great time at the Teen Night, the younger ones were fascinated by the number of pools (6-7). The ducks and cranes are annoying but so are the pigeons at home. The room was pleasant and clean BUT the carpets can use a good cleaning. The whirlpool jets were not cleaned properly leaving it unusable. The kitchen was fully stocked but not with everything on the inventory. The pots and pans could use an upgrade we purchased one of our own. Minutes from Disney World and Universal the saff was responsive but no one asked if we needed anything. That was fine for us, we spent most of our time out of the room. I would book again but I would call in advance with a few request.

Booked this hotel thinking it was another resort we had stayed at previously. We were given an older unit (20+ years old) and even though the furnishings had been updated, the villa still felt dated. We were awakened one morning by a phone call promising $9.00/ticket off of each Sea World ticket if we agreed to listen to the ownership opportunities. Not on my vacation, and not at that price! The crowds at this resort were overwhelming and the proximity of the buildings made me claustrophobic. I won't go back to this resort.

Just got back from my stay, and my only regret is that I spent more time fighting the Orlando tourism crowd than I spent at the hotel. We showed up early after a hectic drive and the room was already ready for check in. The kids loved the pool in our section which had a water slide. The rooms are HUGE, and very comfortable. When they say full kitchen, they mean full kitchen (dishes and all). There were about 13 tennis courts right out our door, and a pro shop with very reasonable prices on equipment rental. The time share pressure isn't as intense as most people are making it out to be. We got about one call a day to remind us to pick up our welcome packet, but turning down the phone ringer took care of that little nuisance. To be honest, if I could be more definite on my vacation times every year I would probably buy into the time-share option. The property is beautiful and very well maintained with plenty to offer. I know next year to plan an extra day to just lounge by the pool and drink fruity drinks at the Zimmies pool bar.

Great room. I liked this much better than staying on property at Disney - costs less and this is much bigger. I'd do this again and again. It's close to Disney, Universal and shopping, with lots of on-property amenities. My teenagers especially liked being able to stretch out more than the usual cramped hotel space. However, there is a downside for me: this is a timeshare vacation property, not a hotel. The staff/service is much less than I would expect from any decent hotel.

We went to florida from hawaii. What a long trip. First impressions were bad!!! We waited and slept in the lobby for a long while before they actually helped us get a room. We were told several times that check in was not until 4pm. I explained that we were tired and had requested for early check in. The response was less than acceptable. After being told that the early check in request was just a request, I was very unhappy. We eventually got a room, then things started to go much better. The hotel is actually a very nice hotel. And good location to everything including the theme parks. Very clean and the general store and its employees are a nice addition to the hotel. General store held almost everything you may have forgotten. And the store has some pretty good sales on certain days. The store employees are very pleasant. The hotel lobby and front desk employees were less satisfying as a whole. If you are lucky to get the ONE customer service minded young lady that we were eventually able to deal with, then you will be lucky. Be weary of the VERY strong sales pitch about the Starwood timeshare. It may be for some, but PLEASE read the fine print. A beautiful place overall. But every place has its good and bad.

I took my two young kids on vacation to the orlando area for 8 days. We enjoyed alll the hotel had to offer. The best thing was the amount of space we had. We all had our own beds. We cooked in the kitchen to save $$ on eating out. We had friends join us on Thursday and they were blown away by the spaciousness and cleanliness! If I hadn't prepaid for attraction tickets, we could have spent all our time there at the pool, games etc... I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away and not even do the parks. The staff was great and very helpful, they had coupons for everything so be sure to get your welcome package!

First off I'd like to say, arrive exactly at the check in time, otherwise you will wait in a very, very, very long line. We arrived just in time because the next thing I knew I turned around and the line was out the door. After we got up to our room I was very, very disappointed, the room was not at all what I'd expected. It did not look anything like the pictures. I immediatly called the front desk and complained, they had me come back and a very nice gentlemen, I believe he was the concierge or manager assisted us. He worked very hard to make us happy, he switched our room around and we ended up with a gorgeous newly remodled villa. I could have stayed there for the rest of my life. The pools were wonderful and you could take your own alcohol down, rather than buying it at their bar which I thought was a huge plus. I would go back again, but I wrote down the room we ended up with and will make sure to request it again. I think they must be slowly upgrading rooms, so if you plan on staying at this hotel make sure to request an updated/newly remodled room, otherwise you will end up in an older room that feels cramped and dirty.

If you are looking for a place to go to relax, this is not the place. The accommodations are out-dated and not as clean as you would expect from a Sheraton. The condo had an unpleasant odor. It is also very congested and busy. The desk manager was very difficult to get ahold of. The Expedia representatives we dealt with were wonderful at taking care of this problem and getting us booked into a different resort. I can't say enough about Expedia's professionalism and courtesy to their clients.

All in all, it really was not a bad place to stay especially if you have children. The place just needs to be updated. So for the dollar amount it was worth it.

My husband and I and 4 kids (16, 14, 10, 9) all had a great time. We checked in at 4pm on a Saturday and the registration line was really long (this was really our only hassle). I would suggest trying to check in earlier or later? There was plenty to do and the pools really were fabulous. The place seemed totally maxed out with people, yet no one was ever in your way even in the pools. The other great thing is, you can drink poolside (I am not total drinker, but this is nice that there was no security telling you put it away so you have to spend your money on our poolside bar) Bringing your own was way cheaper! (Of course etiquette and respect for everyone around you was important- it was a total family spot without being too crazy with screaming kids!) We recommend this place without hesitation.

I feel like I don't have any right to complain since the cost of the stay was so cheap for a 2 bedroom condo....however...I do have to say that if you have a choice, do not stay near the pools that stay open til 1:00 a.m. each night. We were just behind one of them on the 3rd floor and it was so noisy for all of the nights we were there, we had to take naps to recover! The master bedroom backed up to the pool, so the other bedroom did not have noise. On another note, it took three separate phone calls over two days to get a new carafe for the coffee maker in our unit. For some reason, ours did not have one. Finally, after the 3rd call, a new coffee maker was brought up. Otherwise, the amenities, the unit itself and the guest services were more than we could have asked, for the price! You will be asked to come to a 'sales breakfast' as they are selling time shares at other locations. We opted out of this, but they were willing to give you a monetary credit to use on property if you attended. There is an official Disney ticket kiosk on the premises for your convenience. I would definitely stay here again, but now know to ask to be away from the pools if you want a good night's sleep!

The Vistana Resort by Sheraton is primarily a time-share property. The resort has fun things to do but there are problems with the amount odf available staffing for trouble spots. We had a room that was ignored by maintenance issues. An a/c leak from a unit above us turned into an expensive issue. The pools are good, but hope you get a newer unit or atleast one that doesn't need repair.

This is a nice property very close to disney. Its a good choice simply because of how close it is but I am not sure I would stay here again. When we arrived they put is in the very oldest part of the hotel (even after requesting something newer 4 times prior to arriving). The room we were put in was terrible. I cried and it was not a good way to start our holiday. I called to tell them it was not acceptable and was given a bit of a hard time. After the manager got involved we were moved and it was the world better but it still wasn't as nice as other places I have stayed in Orlando. The pools in the new parts were nice. The pools in the older parts were terrible. I was told at the time share meeting which we attended for $50 credit off tickets that no one would ever be put in the Cascades that was an upgrade only available to time share members. THat needs to be said for what its worth and the kids club here was dirty. Bottom line. European traveler swould like this property because its well appointed, they do try but Americans who are used to quality resports would be disappointed. I was.

This is our second stay at this facility and we were not as impressed this time around. The facility is nice but the room cleaniness was not as good. Also we had about five messages everyday about stuff going on at the hotel such as sales at the general store or welcome packet reminders. We also had a really obnoxious call about coming to their breakfast where they hawk the time share option after I had already told them I was not interested. The guy who called was a real moron and would not take no for an answer. I finally just hung up on him. The place is nice but look out for the sales pitch.

Myself and my boyfriend wanted to stay in a resort style hotel. After looking at the website, and reading about all the pools and numberous eating spots, we chose this hotel. We were on a budget as well as wanted to go to City Walk and Downtown Disney. Everything about our room was what we saw on the website. Very comfortable rooms. The land of the resort is huge! Definately not a brand new resort, but is kept up to date. Very family style... you dont have to leave there. there is so much for the kids to do! **The only thing.... we didnt have a car, and thought we would rely on the resort's services... well, I called for a cab twice... each time atleast an hour in advance... if not the mornings before. And each time the cab was alteast a half hour late! I had to call several times. we ended up renting our own. when having plans and a schedule, (meeting people, reservations) it is very annoying to be off time bc of a lazy driver, or someone not caring. Other then that... wonderful! i would stay again... with my own car :)

I didn't go to hear a sales pitch about time shares and if I wanted to hear that I could have gotten free rooms elsewhere! The master bedroom closet door was off the track and leaning inside the closet. The pools were crowded.

The furniture and carpet were pretty new but the little things such as old mirror that had black on them, and ceiling's that were dirty. Overall it was a good place to stay but not as nice as I expected. It was very clear that they cater to the owners of the property as it is a time share, but if they want any new owners then I suggest that they get all the rooms done as nice as the new area.
