| This hotel is an older hotel, but the rooms are large and ours had a fridge in it. The area was quiet and it is off the main drag so it is a great place to relax.

| The hotel has a great location. Our room was very nice and comfortable. We loved the microwave and frig. The balcony was great. The turn off was stepping into the shower and seeing the mildew.

| Hotel was convenient to Monterey attractions & Carmel. However, it was under flight path of airport. Staff was very helpful. Restaurant was a bit seedy looking. Room was average & in need of some updating. Poolside rooms had convenient place to sit outside. Grounds were well kept, but buildings need some attention like painting.

| The room felt cleaner than most cheaper hotel rooms I've stayed in. The entry door could use some work, it rattled whenever someone opened or closed a door near my room. The heater pinged and pinged, finally I turned it off. Small planes fly low over hotel due to airport. It is a very good choice if you don't want to pay a lot and will not be spending much time in the room.

| We had a very nice stay here. It's a nice "motor inn" type motel from the 60s or 70s, but it's been well maintained and redecorated. Our rooms were very large with windows along one entire wall. No noise from neighbors, although people in the hall could get quite loud. It's near the Monterey airport, and the planes going overhead are a nuisance, but only during the day.

| This hotel is located on a very busy street near the airport. You here plans coming in most of the day until about 11 at night, then they start again before sunrise. However, the room was comfortable, had a balcony, fridge and microwave and was clean.

| The room was spacious and comfortable, and the swimming pool was nice. There is a restaurant joined to the hotel serving BBQ, otherwise there didn't seem to be much else around. There was a bit of noise from small planes landing at the nearby airstrip.

| Room was clean and good-sized, and the king bed was comfortable. The usual in-room amenities for this type of property, and everything worked. Nice pool. Service was minimal but courteous. The restaurant has a large and interesting menu but was quiet when we were there. Easy access to everything in Monterey and Pacific Grove. Overall, a good choice for the budget traveler.

| everything basic that you need. would have liked a bathtub in my room. one true minus was that the continental breakfast had sunny delight instead of real orange juice.

| This hotel is very understaffed, there was 1 person to handle check-in for several guests. They do not answer the phone at the front desk when you call from the rooms. However, the staff that we did meet were friendly, there just wasn't enough of them. The rooms (we reserved 3) were spacious and clean. The beds were UNcomfortable. We had 2 rooms that were overlooking the pool and 1 room that had a delightful view of the parking lot. We tried to get a rollaway bed at 9:30pm by going to the front desk (our 4th try at calling them was unsuccessful) but were told that you had to reserve a bed by 5:00pm. We only stayed for 1 night and I would stay there again, but it wouldn't be my 1st choice!

| Very affordable motel. You get a small fridge and microwave. This place is clean and is a short drive to anywhere in Monterey Bay. There is a Deny's within walking distance (1/4 mile).Only thing is that the motel is located in the flight path of the airport. It is NOT very noisy at all, but you do tend to notice the planes flying over head. Maybe one or two planes an hour at the most. Really no big deal unless you plan on being in the room all day.I would stay here again

| We only stayed in Monterey for one night on our way up to San Francisco, and this Travelodge was perfect. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. It was an easy drive to all of the great sights of Monterey. A very pleasant experience.

| Discovered our reservation error when we pulled up at the hotel. Thought we would just 'make-do' for the night. We found the motel conveniently located for sight-seeing by auto. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious and functionally arranged. Staff was easy to converse with and accommodating. Definitely would choose this motel deliberately next time.

| I wasn't sure what to expect because of the low star rating of this motel, but we were very happy with our stay and will stay there on our next trip. The only thing that would have made it better would be if the owners put some kind of padding on the doors. They are pretty loud when they close.
