Our room was not cleaned 1 day and when it was they did not refill the coffee. We asked for a refridgerator and they put it in the wrong room. We had no water for a few hours one day and when it finally came back it was a dark rusty color and stunk for the next 3-4 hours. The person behind the counter who checked us in didn't know what a crib was when we asked for one. The parking rates are ridiculous. It took over an hour to get our car from the valet because they couldn't find our car. Overall, the 3 Star rating should be a 2 at best. Other family members, staying in a different room had similar issues. One of their dresser drawers was full of garbage when they checked in. Again, one of their 2 rooms was not cleaned 1 day and they did not get clean towels. I would rather spend double somewhere else.

We stayed three nights - overall a very pleasant experience. The people at the Front Desk and Guest Services were outstanding! They answered mnay questions and went out of their way to help. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and linens were fresh. While the elevators were sometimes slow, they were well within tolerance range. The rough edges: One of the morning valets lept to the conclusion that I was trying to stiff the hotel for valet service when all I wanted to know was whether I was committed to having my car parked by valet every day because we did so the first day (we didn't know yet whether we needed to go in and out a lot with the car - I was just checking my options). I tried to explain, but he had already made up is mind that I was trying to stick it to them! Very annoying...all the other valets were great. Another rough edge was the wired Internet connection - it kept trying to charge us twice in one day for service. The first time would go on the room and the second time it wanted a credit card! We got it straightened out, but it was annoying.

I've stayed at a number of Wyndham properties in my travels and have always found them to be above average in both the quality of the room and the service from their employees. I can only hope the Baltimore hotel was an aberration. The staff was just plain rude, I arrived at 2:30PM on a Saturday and was told check in is at 4:00PM and don't expect to get in a minute earlier, they were busy. When I did get my room it looked like it hadn't been updated since the 60's except for a new Herman Miller desk chair. The heater looked like it had caught on fire with black marks running up the wall. I was afraid to turn it on. The mattress was thin and the bed springs could be seen and felt through the sheets. I don't know where they got these sheets it was like sleeping on sandpaper.

Service was good, although they were unable to accomodate my room request. It is an extremely noisy area if your room is located on lower level floors. I couldn't rest at all. In addition, I found a small roach in the mini-bar area and coffee area. There was an ironing board but no iron, and the closet was missing a door. Not at all like other Wyndhams I have stayed in.

This hotel was great. Parking was a little bit of an inconvience, but when you are in the middle of a city, that is expected. Short walk to the Inner Harbor, and cab access was right outside. They have great doormen/bellboys. Shula's bar was fun. Morning breakfast buffet was a little expensive. All in all great stay.

The Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor hotel was average overall. The public areas (lobby, gift shop, bar & restaurant) were well maintained and above average. However, the rooms were a little tired & depressing with dark brown carpet and dark brown bedding. With new soft furnishings I'm sure this hotel could be great! The service was good, very helpful front desk staff. If you're looking for a hotel with easy access to John's Hopkins Hospital this is the place to stay. They provide complimentary shuttles to and from the hospital, which is a Godsend. Should you need to get a taxi, it will cost you approx $7 or $8 one-way and takes 5 minutes. They also have shuttles to the BWI airport for $15 one-way and are very reliable. Didn't find any restaurants within walking distance (safely) but Shula's bar in the hotel serves great salads and also has a breakfast buffet.

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the areas in Baltimore I wanted to see (Mt. Vernon, Fells Point, Federal Hill, waterfront). My room was clean and very nice for the money--I got a great deal through Expedia. There were some minor annoyances (not being allowed to check in until 3:30, having to wait a long time for an elevator) but if you can live with those things, it's worth staying here for the convenient location and good value. I'd also recommend parking in the underground lot (Edison Parking) across the street. It was easy to go back later and get things out of my car, and the price was quite reasonable.

Our stay at the Wyndham was very pleasant. The staff was courteous and helpful. Parking was a plus here. We parked in the garage across the street for $15.00 per day. The hotel's location is one of its best features. We were able to walk to Camden Yards and to the Inner Harbor. This hotel is best suited for folks who don't mind walking a few blocks to their destinations or who don't mind taking a cab. What the restaurant (Shula's 2) lacked in presentation; it made up for in the quality of food. It is basically a casual dining atmosphere with fine dining prices. Non smokers beware, this restaurant arbitrarily separated the smoking section from the nonsmoking. On the negative side, the elevators were dreadful. It took an interminable amount of time for them to reach our floor (over 20 stories up). The hotel did explain that they were 'modernizing' their elevators but it was still very much a work in progress during our stay. Also, the rooms were a bit small for the money. The bathroom was especially small.

The hotel staff did very LITTLE to make the check-in and check-out process as quick and as painless as possible. They were friendly, but extremely slow. We waited about 15 minutes waiting for fresh towels to be delivered to the room. We were guaranteed a roll away bed on Friday night and it never came. Then, on Saturday after speaking with a manager, we received the roll away. Keep in mind, I had to speak to 3 or 4 people before being connected with the manager's voice mail. Yes, their voice mail!! I did not leave a message and instead took the time to try again. The best part of the staff were the guys outside doing valet parking. They were very friendly, helpful, and very quick to assist with anything.

Have stayed here several times in 2004 and 2005. It is within walking distance to the Inner Harbor. Shula's is an adjoining restaurant and is very good. The rooms are clean and well appointed for the price. The only draw back is that it does not have 24 hour room service, which, I recognize is only an inconvenience for some. I will stay here again.

The service at the hotel and adjoining Shula's 2 restaurant was horrible. Hostesses watching TV, empty shampoo and soap wrappers in the shower upon my arrival, and valet that could not provide reasonably timely service, are just some of the examples of my poor stay. The most damning item, however, was when I made a comment to the clerk when I checked out, she acted as if she could care less. I will not go back to the hotel. It is not very convenient walking to inner harber, either.

This hotel was fine to stay in. However, the staff seemed a bit young and for the most part "unprofessional". ( Overly familiar and not helpful enough.) Parking is a major issue here. If you choose not to use valet parking for $27.00 per day and you park in the hotel garage you are charged an hourly rate everytime you leave and re-enter. The overnight charge is 20.00. There is no break given to hotel guests. The TV service is pretty poor. Only a few stations and in-room movies or for $5.99 you can watch a 45 minute episode of a TV show on a cable station the hotel has chosen not to pay for (HGTV, HBO). All in all the hotel was nice enough but with no amenities and the feeling that they were trying to squeeze every dime from you they could.

While I was very put out with the guest, I was totally impressed with the Wyndham staff and their ability to handle the situation in a dignified manner, not berating the guest, but working with them to resolve the problem (I believe the guest had been drinking a bit too much and another guest had complained about this person).
