An amazing swimmming pool, very good service, tons of things to do on site and great breakfast included in the price: this hotel is a very good choice if you are planning to go to Orlando and Disneyworld. Plus it is very close to Disney (2 minutes by car from Downtown Disney). It is worth spending time on the property.

I always try to stay at the Hayatt because it is the best hotel in Orlando. For both business and leisure, it meets my needs. The hotel is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for and I always get exception service. If I had to complain about anything, it would probably be the poolside service is a little slow but not to the point where any one would be too upset.

The hotel was beautiful! I enjoyed the pool and common grounds. I was locked out of my hotel room once. Nobody told me that the key could not touch a cell phone or credit card. That was upsetting because I was in my bathing suite and had to go stand in line at the check out line. Also the AC shuts off when you leave the room or there is no motion. I would go by the pool and get hot. I would then come back to a hot room. Also during the night when I was sleeping, the AC would go off because there is no motion. I would wake up stuck to the sheets. The customer service was excellent. The birds were neat in the lobby. House keeping was friendly.

We stayed at the Hyatt Grand Cypress resort from May 26-May 29. The hotel is close to Downtown Disney and a myriad of restaurants. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and the interior of the hotel is absolutely breath-taking. Our room was on the 16th floor so the elevator rides were fun too and while the hotel was very busy during our stay we never had to wait long for the elevators. Our room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was roomy and stocked with eucalyptus scented amenities from Portico. Each room also has a small balcony. Our favorite portion of our stay was spending time at the enormously huge pool, which included grottos, waterfalls, and spas. In addition, the hotel has one heated pool and another non-heated pool. The pool staff were friendly and helpful evening bringing around free frozen pineapple and ice cold cloths to everyone who wanted them! Our only complaint was the quality of the bed. We were a little disappointed at the beds at the Hyatt. We woke up each morning with an aching back and the pillows were quite flat so our necks didn't feel good either. We didn't complain to the hotel about this so they may have brought us additional pillows if we would have asked. Really you don't spend much time in the hotel room anyway so I wouldn't make this my deciding factor. Overall the hotel is incredible. I would highly recommend it and would most likely stay there on a return trip to Orlando.

My husband & I spent a long weekend here for R & R and to do Disney. I wish we had spent more time at the hotel- the grounds are beautiful and very tropical. We sometimes forgot we were in Florida! We had a wonderful dinner at Hemmingway's restaurant and would have gone back if time permitted. The staff was attentive to every detail and were very gracious and friendly. We will definitely be going back!

I cannot say enough about this hotel. The only negative I can come up with is that the pool water was quite cold the last week of March and only the smallest of the three main pools was heated - just something to be aware of as it's a little disappointing if you aren't expecting it. However, the incredible grounds that house an extensive statute art collection and lush landscapes more than make up for this small issue. There are ample activities for the kids and are included in a daily resort fee of $12 or $13 a day - not included in room cost, but WELL worth it. This is one of only two hotels I have ever visited that I enjoyed enough to want to re-visit. The rooms... the staff... the service... the food... every bit of it was top notch. I had a great package deal through Expedia for a hotel I might not otherwise have been able to afford that particular time of the year. The staff is what really made this stay remarkable. So friendly, courteous, and accommodating. I truly felt welcomed at this hotel, and that's a rarity these days. From the poolside burger grill, to the ample "take two!" attitude when it came to pool towels, to always being addressed by name on the phone when calling for my car...to being treated like a queen when I'm most certainly NOT...I think everyone should stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I know next year I certainly will!

If you plan on spending your days at the theme parks, you will be wasting your money staying here. There is too much to do, so much scenary to enjoy, and the rooms are comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. 1 negative is that regardless of whether you use the facilities or not, there is a daily surcharge to fund these.

I am extremely particular when it comes to hotels and I must say, The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is spectacular! Absolutely awesome! Everything is "picture perfect". I have nothing negative to say. All aspects of my stay were great. The courteous/friendly staff, high level of quality service, cleanliness, ambiance, room, amenities (e.g.: pool, bikes, spa, etc.), restaurants, landscaping, etc. were all superb. (And the Eucalyptus spa collection provided was so relaxing. The soap, hand lotion, body wash, etc. made you feel like you were getting a true spa experience from the comfort of your own room.) I will certainly stay here again when I'm in Orlando. The location is convenient and the place is the best. It's truly a standard by which all other hotels should be measured. See for yourself!

Everything with the hotel was great. The only exception that I would note was there was a problem with insects the first 2 days. We addressed with the hotel and it was taken care but took almost 2 days before we were rid of small mositqoes in our room. The hotel indicated that sometimes prior guests keep the balcony doors open and you can get small insects in the room. We suggested that the rooms be exterminated after each guest in order to avoid that problem. They addressed quickly but it did take 2 days before we no longer saw any insects.

My husband and I had a very nice stay. Room service and service in the restaurants are superior. The pools are gorgeous, but only 1 of the 3 pools is heated, and it's the smallest of the 3. The other 2 pools are frigid. With what they're charging to stay there, they need to heat all 3. Besides the cold pool it was a wonderful stay.

This hotel exceeded my expectations by a mile. All we wanted was a few days in the sun with my kids and we got that and more. NOT a Disney fan and doubtful about Orlando, I was even more worried when we approached through mini-malls and IHOPs, after entering the gate into the lush gardens, we could have been on any tropical isle. The pools were beautiful, the grounds amazing and the service was really excellent. And anyone interested in riding - the Grand Cypress equestrian center was absolutely first class. This place is not hip or cutting edge but its not pretentious either - great for families. Only the food was disappointing. Would recommend it highly.

Loved the elegant landscaping and appearnace of this hotel but on several occasions we were reminded of their primary customer, the business traveler on expense account. Shuttle service to theme parks was infrequent, our room a had two double beds (for 4 people!) and when we asked for a cot we were told it was "against fire codes" to give us one. Also, the huge pool is mostly cold water, so in March it was way too cold for our children to swim in, and the one warm water pool had no lifeguard and closed at 5 PM!

My family enjoyed the resort so much that we opted to spend two days of our vacation at the resort instead of going to theme parks since it was lovely and relaxing. The landscaping was like a botanical gardens, and the pool was state-of-the-art. We enjoyed the lake activities, too: kayaking, water biking, sailing, and canoeing. The room was beautiful, and the service was superb. Plus, it's a short drive to many attractions. What else could you ask for?

me an my husband went for our honeymoon. When we got there we were a little concerned about the construction nearby, but the hotel was secluded, quiet, and absoulutly gorgeous. We were in one of the biggest tourist states and didnt want to leave the hotel. The service from the maids, the concierge, room service to the front desk was sincere and helpful. Food was to die for. The pool and beach was nice. & tons to do. all at the hotel. The only thing is we were not empressed by the seafood restaraunt Hemmingways. it was a $100 bill that wasnt worth it. but a definit vacation spot. Very romatic

We absolutely loved this hotel! Receiving a glass of champagne at check-in after spending a long time in airports was a special treat! The pools were fantastic and service was amazing. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pools and walking around the complex which was beautiful. The room was very nice and having a balcony that overlooks the garden area was lovely.

Clean and comfortable. Though I planned to spend the week by the pool (which was awesome with waterfalls, etc), it turned out to be more of a working vacation than expected. Despite not bringing my notebook, I was able to use the PC in the business center and Logmein to put out multiple fires back at the office and get back to the pool. I definitely plan to go back and hopefully spend the whole trip by the pool.

The Grand Cypress is just a great resort. The grounds are beautiful, tropical and emaculate. Lake with with beach, swans, water sports. Tropical pools (one heated), with waterfalls and slides.
