I was a little apprehensive after reading a review that the beds may not be good, but this was NOT our experience. Our beds were wonderfully comfortable and the bedding was exquisite. Personnel was very attentive to our needs when we asked for a roll away bed (our two children did not want to share a queen size bed!)and additional pillows and wash cloths. The concierge was helpful with recommendations, information and obtaining transportation and tickets to sites. The food was good, but a bit pricey with two children (11 and 12). There are wonderful, less expensive restaurants three blocks down and at various tourist locations. Only the inside pool was opened in April, but the kids enjoyed it as we did the whirlpool. We were too busy to even use the exercise room. The best feature was probably the easy access to the Metro system - you didn't even have to go outside. There were plenty of indoor shops, also. We've always had good luck with the Marriott Hotels, and this was no exception.

This was the best hotel value around. The location above the Metro stop was extremely convenient and easy to use. The underground shops were pleasant to shop in and browse through. The rooms were first class value for economy pricing. Our trip was for pleasure and the concierge was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Recommendations made were right on the mark. This hotel is a must stay for those visiting Washington DC. We will definitely stay again here.

I really thought this was a very nice hotel. I traveled to DC with two 14 year old boys and we all found this hotel to be very friendly (with the exception of one male concierge)and fabulously clean! The hotel semed to be set up to cater to business men and conventions, but nonetheless, us three tourists found the hotel's location to be exquiste for traveling around DC. If anyone else is taking teenagers to DC, check out Pentagon City Mall, which is the next stop over on the Metro! Amazing!

The Marriott Crystal Gateway is the perfect spot for the DC traveler. It is conveniently located just minutes from all DC attractions and literally connected to the superb metro transport system. It has all of the amenities without the noise. Perfect. We will certainly return to this hotel when we go back to DC...and the airport shuttle was just an extra convenient bonus.

The hotel was amazing. The lobby and bar and lounge fantastic. Location perfect, right on the Metro. The pillows were fantastic, as was everything else in the room including the high-speed internet and the tv service. The beds ruined it all. Both beds in my room were worn out toward the aisle making them uncomfortable. I tried both. As a result I did not sleep well. This ruined the rating. Because of the poor sleep I could not recommend the hotel. In defense of the hotel I did not mention this problem to staff so they did not get a chance to fix the problem.

The Marriott staff was very friendly and helpful in all the different service areas. Easy access to and from the Reagan Airport and also it was a 2 minute inside walk to the metro and a less than 10 minute ride to the National Mall.

From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, we were treated with courtesy and friendliness by each and every member of the hotel's staff. The hotel was lovely and very convenient to the metro. On our first night there, our 10-year-old son got a nasty bruise when he bumped into the TV cabinet in the room. The hotel's staff responded quickly, professionally, and compassionately to the frightened and travel-weary members of our group. They were typical of the staff at this hotel: genuinely committed to making every guest's stay a good one. There are several good restaurants within walking distance and a convenient mall with a drug store and such for last minute needs. My family and I would definately stay here again.

Definitely would stay here again. Very impressed with everything. Great location. Very easy access to Metro and shops. Excellent breakfast buffet. Roll-away bed was as comfortable as a regular bed. Wonderful fitness center, pool and jacuzzi. All the usual amenities were first class and better. And last, but not least, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Although very convenient and well kept, my room never got cleaned. I had to finally call down and ask for clean towels. They were delivered about a half hour later. In spite of this, I would still recommend the hotel because of its convenience to the Metro.
