Dogs in a nearby neighborhood barked throughout the night. Noise from showers and toilets in nearby rooms was loud enough to wake you up in the middle of the night. While staying at this hotel, the maid threw away some personal books that were on the desk. The manager was very reluctant to reimburse us for the books.

Group of three stayed a total of three nights - what a treat. The staff was friendly and helpful - not always something you can get at a big chain hotel. The complimentary continental breakfast is no thrills, but is fresh and tasty. Besides it's one less meal you have to worry about! The recently renovated rooms have charm and a colorfulness usually not found in big chain hotels. They are on the small side, but very clean and tastefully decorated.

My stay at The Santa Fe Sage was enjoyable. The facilities were well maintained and the staff were courteous and friendly at all times. The location at the edge of the historic district provided easy access to all attractions. Although the room was somewhat small, it was functional and served my needs. The free continental breakfast ran well into the morning for late sleepers, and the free internet computer access located off the main lobby made keeping in touch easy. In summary, I found The Santa Fe Sage to be an excellent value for my needs. I will stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone.

In a town where rooms can be very expensive, the Sage Inn had basic but comfortable and clean rooms and free continental breakfast with good variety--bagels, toast, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, cereal--for a very reasonable rate. Although not in the heart of downtown, it is within walking distance or simply drive a short way and park in a garage. They are renovating, so there was some equipment stored outside some of the unused rooms, but it was out of the way and didn't interfere with my stay at all. If you're looking for valet service, bellhops, and spa services, the Sage Inn might not be for you, but if you just want a quiet comfortable room to sleep in at night while you explore the city of Santa Fe, then I would recommend the excellent value of the Sage Inn.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness and service, but the complimentary breakfast was uneven. Some days, there were no pastries; others, there was no cream cheese; some days there were three types of cereal, while on others, there was only one. One day we had apples; another there were apples and bananas. More variety would have been nice.

We had a great stay at the Sage Santa Fe. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The continental breakfast was good with a variety of healthful choices. The staff was very courteous. And I thought that the price was very affordable. I highly recommend this hotel. It was very nice and close to interesting points in Santa Fe.

I had several problems with my stay at the Santa Fe Inn. 1) My card key repeatedly failed and would not let me into my room. I had to get front desk assistance on a couple of occasions just to get into my room. 2) The room's furniture was old and the bed was uncomfortable. 3) While taking a shower, the towel bar (or whatever it's called) that ran along the inside of the shower wall came out of the wall when I tried to balance myself. Luckily I did not fall. 4) The electrical outlet above the bathroom sink was coming out of the wall. 5) When I checked out of the hotel, I asked for a receipt to show that my credit card had not been charged for any incidentals. The front desk person refused to give me a receipt. 6) The continental breakfast was weak.

The room was relatively clean and the staff was fine, but the hotel as a whole is very much in need of a makeover. The room fixtures are tired, particularly the bed which had a very lousy matress. Also the cable was inconsistent. On the upside, the location is good, and the breakfast was not bad. Once the rooms are redone, it will be worth visiting, provided the rates don't go up.

We enjoyed a three day stay at The Sage in December. The off season rates were super; our first room didn't satisfy and we were immediately and cordially switched to another; the continental breakfasts were ample and very good. Great location to see the sights in Santa Fe. Pleasant, clean room. Visitor from Slaton,TX

This hotel was much better than I had expected. We got such a great expedia rate, we were expecting a dumpy motel. The lobby was beautiful and our room was clean and nicely decorated. It sits on a fairly busy road, but we were tucked back enough not to hear any traffic. We did hear many other things such as the daily 6:45 am dumpster extravaganza and the creaky footsteps (every one of them) of the people upstairs. I would recommend asking for a second floor room away from the road, dumpster, and pool. The breakfast served was great... good coffee, muffins, bagels, cereal, yogurts etc. The only day we didn't eat there was when we walked across the street to the fabulous farmers market and artists bizzaar. Another bennefit is the locstion to the freeway and to the historic plaza and museum distict. I would return to this hotel next time i visit Santa Fe.

Staff rude. Would not verify rate or reservation over the phone prior to arrival. Could not get accurate directions from staff over the phone. Unclean and uncomfortble room. Staff refused to provide a reciept upon checkout. I was referred to the Internet with any questions; seemed to be upset that the room was booked that way.
