| No parking was available due to trucks with trailers parked blocking 8=10 parking spaces each. Continental breakfast advertised. Went down next morning and there was nothing there except left over popcorn from night before. Was told I would receive a coupon for a free breakfast at restaurant across the parking lot, however what I got was $3.00 off any item on menu. Restaurant smelled so bad, I couldn't stay there to eat. Staff at motel not very "friendly" at all.

| Counter people (6 days) - not friendly at all. Found note on SUV 2nd night - going to haul away because not registered with hotel when 6 of us were registered for 6 days with that SUV license. Counter people, only at our request, wrote special note for our dashboard for further parking. 3rd day, our key cards didn't work and we had to have both rooms rekeyed with no explanation. Our one hotel elevator continuously acted up and we were on 3rd floor, finally it stuck in one place for hours. Rooms beautiful, had every convenience, and the cleaning people did excellent jobs.

| When we arrived at the hotel in the late evening, we had no trouble checking in; our Expedia reservation and payment were in the system. All of our interactions with the staff were pleasant. The lobby was clean and inviting. Unfortunately, the hallways held the unpleasant stench of humanity! If you've spent time on the road, you know what I mean. The stairwell windows were open and unscreened on the main floor. As a father concerned with safety and security I was disturbed by this. I closed all first floor windows in all the stairwells that evening and found two of them open the next morning. I reported this to the front desk staff; they seemed concerned when I told them what I had found. The room was appointed exactly as promised: one king bed and one queen sofa-bed, and a mini kitchen. It looked nice, but the room was quite warm. The air conditioning was blowing full blast when we entered the room but the room temp was VERY warm. We should have called the front desk, but didn't. The next morning I mentioned our discomfort, and the clerk told me that it had "probably frozen... you should have shut it off for a hour." If this is a common problem, the hotel should post directions on each unit. They also should make sure that the a/c is not running all day in an empty room! As I said before, we should have called the front desk immediately; that was our mistake. Nevertheless, it was frustrating to spend so much money on an uncomfortable room.

| The hotel itself was nice enough but one side was bordered by the freeway and the other by a truck stop. Noise was a factor. Across the parking lot was a truck stop with one building that housed several fast food establishments and a sit down. Also had video games etc. Did not feel the safest of areas. Nothing else around withing walking distance.

| Our room was clean and spacious, however the hotel is situated right next to the main freeway that passes through Boise, so the noise level was very high. The smoking floor is downstairs, and smoke managed to seep up to our room. Also getting to and from our car we had to pass through the smoked filled lower hallway, which was bad enough to make me cough. If you book online, you are not allowed to change your room, no matter how dissatisfied you may be. We were on the freeway side of the hotel and could not be moved. They gave us breakfast vouchers for $3 off breakfast (or a free mini breakfast, do not try that one!) at the resaurant next door, but the food quality was disappointing. I would not stay again, due to noise.

| I mainly chose this hotel because I wanted a full breakfast included. It was, but it was at the restaurant next door which was essentially a truck stop diner. The breakfast I had was pancakes and eggs and they were disgusting. The syrup tasted like powdered sugar. We went out for breakfast after that.

| Shilo Inn Boise Airport on Broadway is an average "hotel" if you really can call it that. It is outdated with phones older than I am and their color motif is probably about 20 years old. I rated the service a "3" only because they weren't rude. I was just another traveler to them it appeared. They say there was a continental breakfast, but I only found bad coffee and an empty tray behind a counter...and that was at 9:00 am on a Tuesday.
