| They refused to honor my preference for a non-smoking room because "that is only a 'request' when reservations are made online". The room stunk like an old ashtray with numerous cigarette burns in the carpet and elsewhere. Unfortunately, with the last game of the Cards-Astros in town that night, I had no hope of finding other accommodations. Thankfully, it was only for one night.

| This is an older hotel. Location of the hotel is great. Service was great. Warning: If you stay in any rooms anywhere near the elevators on any floor, you will hear a lot of low frequency electric hum that is quite disturbing in quiet times (during sleeping). We called it the hotel hum. We had to move to the outer area (nearer to the edge of the building) to alleviate the noise which was still apparent but not as loud. The small restaurant was over priced but the food was good. Several better and more affordable restaurants are located within two blocks of the hotel. Parking for guests should be free but they charge $9 per day. The mens and womens bathrooms/showers in the pool area were un clean and need upgrading. The jacuzzi only had one working jet out of four side jets and not much pressure to boot. Exercise area was good and had several options. Overall it was a good weeks stay.

| The rooms are very small and somewhat tired. The room was clean. The bathroom is also small. The food in the restaurant was poor. The lounge was very smokey.

| Terrible service, everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and no one seemed to care. It started with another guest being assigned to my room and it did not improve.

| It is good location in Clayton so is not in the center of town. They provide a shuttle to get to places such as the rail line into the city. Room could have been better. There was a towel rack that came out of the wall and a few problems with maintenance things. So overal OK but nothing special. I did get the best deal on it via Expedia.

| I've never seen a hotel where the entire staff worked so hard at guest relations. The only slight negative was the small size of the room but, considering the price, it was good value.

| I stayed for three nights on a recent trip. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is in a good location - near the St. Louis Galleria and many fine restaurants withn walking distance. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return if going to St. Louis.
