| Staff was very friendly and helpful. Located in a great area. The rooftop terrace is great. The view of the Empire State Building is directly in front of you, only about a block away. No real problems and plenty of reasons to go back. The Metro Grill next door is wonderful, as well as the many pubs/restaurants located on the same block. I would stay here again, no questions.

| This hotel was very affordable and was very clean. Located a block away from shops such as H&M, Macys, BR, Aldo's great shopping location. Subway is located on the same block as hotel, very convenient, did not take a cab once as many subway lines were accessible from hotel location. Continental breakfast very convenient although you do get bored of it after a few days.

| LOVED this hotel! Rooftop patio was cute, not much of a view but very nice to get out on. Can 't beat the absolute convenience of a complimentary breakfast and 24 hour coffee. Location was perfect - right in midtown, 1/2 block from the subway, close walking distance to all kinds of things to see between 5th and 6th Avenue to the north and 34th Street to the south. $30 gets you a cab ride from the airport - cheapest transportation to be found other than a bus. Avoid the hotel restaurant and the deli down the street. Go south on 5th Avenue to 34th Street - drugstores, restaurants, Starbucks, everthing is there. All in all - this is the hotel to stay at.

| the hotel remains convenient and comfortable When I asked the clerk by phone where I should park, he suggested a garage within three doors of the place. I arrived in rush-hour Manhattan to find the block closed for street repairs. With one way streets, that resulted in a one hour delay in my arrival and a higher fee for parking. The staff should have known better.

| The location is great close to stores(Macys) and restaurants and shows, within walking distance. The hotel is clean, comfortable and cute. The restaurant down stairs is a little price but good, nice atmosphere. The rooms smell good and clean, love the colors they chose. The price was not bad for what you get. OH! make sure you bring your liqour so you can go up the terrace and enjoy the empire building and the nice weather with friends or sweetheart, is sweet. Highly recommended.

| Overall hotel was value for money in NYC. Great location, clean & comfortable. Plenty of Korean restaurants nearby, subway entrance also just 30sec away. The room I had was quite small - you'll be climbing over your luggage to get into bed, but very clean and comfortable. Towels and bathroom amenities were changed and replenished everyday. Walls are a bit thin, so light sleepers beware. Breakfast is basic continental fare, but there is all day tea/coffee. Will definitely return.

| I am a native New Yorker, Brooklyn born, educated in Manhattan and now a Long Island resident. Once leaving the NYC area to live, getting into the city requires a little effort. My family and I go into the city often for entertainment. My husband and I decided to stay at the Metro overnight and were very impressed. The hotel decor is nice, the room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was filling. I would definitely stay there again; in fact I plan on bringing my Long Island born children there to stay the night for a true NYC experience. Hotel Metro is a must for anyone looking for nice NYC stay at a great price.

Very nice view of the Empire State Building from the roof top terrace. Complimentary breakfast was decent. All you would need to kick off your day; fruit, bread, yogurt. Front desk staff were very helpful and informative, with a variety of information to help plan your day. Overall, we were satisfied with price, comfort and location. We would stay at this hotel again.

| Since we've never been to New York before and had read reviews about small dirty rooms, we weren't sure what to expect. We couldn't have been happier! The location is great, within walking distance of Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, one block from the Empire State Buiding. Lots of shopping and places to eat. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the service was very satisfactory. We've already recommended this hotel to family members and would definitely go back again ourselves.

| The room we stayed in was very shabby and uninviting. The view from the window was a trash dumpster and the bedding was worn with holes. The front desk staff was a bit rude, but the maintenance and cleaning staff were very nice. We had to call maintenance twice for repairs to the room. The continental breakfast was nice. We will not stay here again.

The staff was really nice, and not just because they were getting paid to be, but because the wanted to be. I was really impressed with the hotel for what I paid. It is also right next to the Empire State building which is super convenient.

| Had not stayed in this area before so I was a little concerned. But the location was excellent! Macys, 5th Ave, Times Sq, Rockefeller Ctr within walking distance. And public transport is so close and the stops were easily recognizable. The room was small and decor not modern, but it was clean and comfy enough for 2 people (although we had 2 twin beds... no big deal). Heat & hot water worked perfectly, and housekeeping supplied plenty of toiletries! Good restaurants w/ reasonable prices in the area. Wireless internet was a big plus since I was traveling w/ a teen who can't be without her MY SPACE!!! :0)

| I was a little nervous about this trip since it would be just me and my daughter. The hotel was clean, the staff helpful and courteous. I have to say on the second day I decided to take some money with me and leave the rest in a combination safe bolted in the closet. In our excitment I forgot to put my wallet away and when we returned late that night, our room had been cleaned, my wallet closed with all the money neatly sat among other personal items in the middle of our table. The only concerns I had were later in the night (10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.) our end of the street was empty with few people, and not lit up as well. We were a little nervous getting to our room (although nothing happened). Just a note to keep in mind if you are women traveling along you minght want to take transportation back to your room instead of walking. Over all we would definately stay here again and recommend it.
