We stayed mid April, 06 and were pleasantly surprised with all aspects with this hotel. Very clean and well manicured. Golf course is top notch and the pool/pool bar area is roomy and relaxing. If we ever go back to Phoenix we would definitely return to the Legacy.

We stayed five nights. Obviously, the first night the room was serviced and cleaned. However, the other four nights we had to request the room be made up. We would get back to the room after being gone from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - plenty of time to service the room and we would have to call. One night I called and the lady at the front desk asked me what I wanted her to do about it?? I told her, I wanted the room serviced. That night, we received a wake up call at 3:30 am - my husband and I decided it was paybacks from the immature front desk clerk. Golf Course - golf course great - pro shop workers have attitudes - not accomodating with working around situations that arise...I worked out a situation but it was extremely difficult. Restaurant - we ordered for our kids off the adult menu not realizing they had a kids menu. When we saw anohter table with kids menus - we asked and they gave us one...they should have given us a kid's menu from the beginning. On a positive side, the grounds are beautiful. Fresh flowers and very clean.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was average size and very clean. Hotel has a very laid-back atmosphere - great for relaxing. Decent pool. Best massage I ever had but don't envision a real "spa" - simply a workout room and 2 massage rooms. South Mountain Park is very close by and offers some nice hikes &/or driving tours. We didn't golf, but the course looks very nice.

We booked a great package deal after reading other reviews of this resort. Nice to have a patio (or balcony) w/lounge chairs & a table for each suite. We opted for the 1st floor due to no elevators & our heavy overpacked luggage. Views of tennis courts & golf course seemed miles away from the busy Phoenix area traffic (within 10 minutes of the airport without getting on I-10!) Washing machine/dryer unit in its own little closet, full dishes & utensils, dishwasher & 2-burner range in the room were definite extra money savers on nights that we did not feel like going out! Very fast check in/out & helpful front desk staff. The pool is very large with many chairs and you can actually swim full laps! Wonderful landscaping throughout the resort & scenery of nearby South Mountain in the background is tranquil.

The hotel was very cozy. Defenitely a place to relax, especially around the pool. It is perfect for golfers, honeymooners, or families with kids. Plenty of activities organized by the hotel for example golf lessons for amatueurs. The bed will allow you to get a good nights sleep the pull-out sofa bed however will not. The hotel staff was friendly, but not very proactive.

Stayed Friday and Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ate late Fri evening and service and food was great. The only downside is that the bar and restaurant are in the same room and there was an obnixious drunk cursing at the bartender. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and had everything we needed. Great Jacuzzi tub. Only negative about the room is no wireless access. Would definitely stay again.

By the way, The package price through Expedia was "da bomb".

Our first trip to Arizona for an extended weekend and had a nice time. The place exceeded our expectations and had great service by everyone. We recommend the casita (1) or building (1) which had a great view of the golf course and close to the pool. We are looking at another trip within the next couple of months and plan to stay here at the Legacy.

My room was beautiful. I stayed in a studio that was very spacious with great amenities. The golf course was in great shape. The staff went out of their way to make play memorable. The restaraunt wait staff was very nice but very slow. They always appeared to be understaffed. The walls are very thin. My initial night was very quiet and lovely. During my next evening, I could hear my neighbor snoring through the wall. Not only would I return again, I am returning in 2 weeks.

It would have been bettet sleeping on a straw bed. No way can they consider themselves a top level resort with a bed as bad as this one. I have been to the Dr. 6 times since I got home working on my back.

The on-site restaurant is also very appealing.A recommendable stay, for both Golfers and non-golfers alike. Thank-you

Close to South Mt. which has good auto road, hiking trails, horse riding. We went for Cactus League games and found them close by and much easier to get to then in Florida. One bedroom casitas offered us a full kitchen and plenty of privacy. We stated in #4. Resort dining was less expensive then going out to a medium priced restaurant and it was good! Especially the breakfasts. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was a bit noisy. We will return someday. Booking through expedia with room/air/hotel saved $$$
