| Hotel sets on a North/South site giving you the choice of watching sunrise or sunset. Good view of the bay, close to Strand and good eating places. We would go back again.

| I read mixed reviews about this hotel and was concerned about my reservation. However, the hotel was a nice surprise. Yes, they dont have a restaurant or gym, but its clean, beautiful in the rooms and next to 6 restaurants that knock your socks off. As for the gym...walk along the harbour wall 6ft away...its beautiful.

| My stay was over 2 weekends. Accommodations and staff were terrific. Had 3rd floor corner room w/ windows facing 2 different views of active harbor, including cruise terminal and ships. Outstanding views of frolicking dolphins, cruise ships, ocean-working vessels and equipment. Close to good dinner houses and w/in walking distance to cruise terminal and The Strand. Would definitely stay again.

| I had reserved a king bed, but we were put in a room with 2 queen beds; both of the mattresses were quite old and uncomfortable. A pillowcase was dirty and had a hole in it. There was sand all over the coffee table, as well as on the sofa and chair. Three lamps, none with a bulb bright enough to read by. One glass in the room. No bath mat...we had to use one of the 3 towels. The bathroom sink and counter were dirty and there was a used soap in the tub. I would definitely not return to this hotel.

| This IS NOT a full service hotel. No dining, no pool, no workout room, etc. Good job on converting old warehouse to hotel. It is located on the dock at the cruise ships location and would excellant if you are leaving on a crusie. Many gooding eating establishments within short walk. Two right next door. Rates were excellant for first of week arrivals.Breakfast nothing to write home about. A muffin, juice and coffee.Parking at the hotel. No bag or porter service. We saw only one person at check in and that was the front desk clerk. No lobby---just a check in counter. For the price and location we thought it was an excellant deal.

| The hotel did not have our reservation when we checked in. Later that night the front desk assigned our room to another guest, who tried to enter our room while we were there - the front desk had not logged us in the register. The room was nicely furnished, but needed more light - only three table lamps in the room, which wasn't enough for the size of the room. Hotel is close enough to the Strand that walking around is easy.

| Clean room with good view of the harbor, close to the Strand. Not sure if there was a continental breakfast or not-we weren't told about it on check in. The room was not set up for easy TV viewing from bed but otherwise comfortable.

| Room was nice, clean and close to good restaurants. Registration was slow. Only one person to check us in and answer phones. Hotel has changed to a non-smoking hotel. Good for some, bad for others.

| This is an OK middle-of-the-road hotel. The location on the Galveston Strand is excellent, so one can look past the shabby aspects of the room - worn furniture and carpeting. The A/C was noisy, the pillows were worn out, but we could live with all of the above for one night.

| A+ for location; very nice restoration underway, however we had reserved a non-smoking room with a king-size bed and had to accept a non-smoking room with two queen-size beds. Also, in a room that was meant to accomodate 4 people, there was only one glass which the clerk/receptionist could only remedy with cardboard coffee cups.
