A nice and relaxing vacation. Resort has two pools. One for activities and the other to relax. Beds on the beach are great. You can chill out and take in the ocean breeze. Nightly entertainment was great.

This was our honeymoon trip and it was amazing. El Dorado Seaside was such a great place! The staff was so friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous and romantic, and the resort was beautiful. The food was very good! This place was definately all-inclusive. It's a nice small size, not overcrowded, the beach was gorgeous with more than enough room for the guests. There aren't any other resorts right next to it, so there's no sharing the beach and surrounding area with other big hotels, very quiet and spacious. This is very romantic hotel that caters very well to the couples that come. It exceeded our expectations. We are definately returning the first chance we get, we don't even want to try another resort.

This hotel is wonderful. We loved it.Everyone was great. We were apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews on the internet. We weren't sure what to expect when we got there. We had been "fooled" before using the internet. Everything you see on their web site is true. My advice is to save your bed on the beach early (people were going down at 6:00 am) All you have to do is put a book or something on it. No one bothers it. The other advice is to make your dinner reservations early. We ate at 7:00 pm every night but one and didn't have any problem. We were in and out in an hour. Not bad with 5 courses. One night we got back late from a tour and had to eat at 9:00 pm. We wound up leaving because it was to slow and we were tired from the long day. So we went back to our room and ordered room service. Oh darn!! They have FREE 24 hour room service. The other thing is the coffee. I love my coffee. The coffee in the room is horrible. So every morning when I got up I called room service and ordered coffee and pastries. They were there in about 15 minutes. The room service coffee is great. They bring warm milk with it. The beach is great and the water is so warm. I actually went snorkeling right there for the first time in my life. If we go back to that area again we will stay at the El Dorado. For those of you who like late nights, the entertainment got over at 10:30 pm but then they had a live band with karoke until 2:00 am. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the El Dorado Seaside Suites for our Honeymoon 5/8-5/12 and although it was very nice we did have a few issues. The beach was rocky enough that it was hard to enjoy the ocean unless you had water shoes or something to protect your feet. In our case I floated on my belly the whole way out till it wasn't rocky anymore and my husband dragged me there....once we got out where it wasn't rocky anymore it was GREAT!! I don't know if the power issue is still from the hurricane problems they're still having or what, but the power went out about 10 times a day. This was a problem for more than one reason. Besides the fact that the AC would go on and off and really didn't cool down are room that much it also made it difficult to keep track of time, which you had to do in order to make it to dinner because reservations are REQUIRED!! We didn't like that a lot because you're on vacation and you shouldn't have to keep track of time, we were constantly resetting the clock in our room or having to check the time so we weren't late. Although it seems like we had a lot of things we didn't enjoy, it was a nice relaxing vacation. We laid on the cabanna beds during the day and took naps laying in front of the Ocean and that was great!! Most of the food we had was GREAT!! It was nice for what we paid, although we probably wouldn't go back. For us paying the extra money is worth it to have a nice vacation!! Everyone is different though.

Beautifully located. Clean and good service. The weather was the best part of the trip. Had to make dinner reservations in advance and only 3 days at a time. Would prefer no timetables and just go when I please, no reservation necessary. Drinks were weak if you like drinking. Ask for more and they'll accommodate. Room had broken door, toilet and jacuzzi but all was promptly corrected. Should have been in working order upon arrival. Food was good and bad but there is something you can probably find you'll like. Menu didn't change much so I wouldn't recommmend a very long stay. Beach beds were awesome. They delivered food/drink right to your bed. I'd go back for sure for lounging in the sun and swimming in the ocean. Definitely for couples. Topless but no nudes. One bad point, sulfur smell occasionally from the ocean. Not pleasant but apparently, there is nothing they can do about it.

Surroundings-Still recovering from Wilma but running at 100%. New construction ongoing but unobtrusive. Rooms-Very clean. Well appointed. Amenities in abundance. Large California King beds. Air conditioing that can bring the room to 65 degees if desired. Jacuzzi pleanty roomy and with lots of soothing power. Deck with one of the best hammocks I've ever used and two rope recliners. Restaurants-Finestkind. Great variety. Superb selections at each. Super service. Out of this world taste, texture and presentation. Excellent choice of house wines. Extras-Went to dive and got more than expected with a staff of hignly qualified master divers and instructors. Don't haul your equipment-theirs is new and free. Spa- Healed all the aches and pains. Bars-Party city. Entertainment-Show quality. Cooking classes and bar tending classes- Fun and full of neat take home ideas. Did we like it-you guess. Will we return? It will be like going home.

This is a very nice hotel for couples who want to go to a place where they can relax withouth worrying about iterruptions from loud guests, teenagers, or children. If a couple wants a romantic setting with good dining options and good lounging spots by the beach, this is a good place. The only drawback is a retaining wall about 3 feet tall in fron of the beach that takes away from the view but if you go toward the south of the hotel you have good access to the beach.

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway this is the place! Mostly couples and a very nice staff. It has the character and charm of a small hotel. It never seemed crowded and we went right in the middle of spring break. This was the first all inclusive for me and my husband and it was absolutly perfect in every way. Great snorkeling, food, lodging, people, beach, pool, day spa, bars and we adored the staff. We will definatly go back.

READ ALL: You will love it. We stayed in an Ocean Front Jr. Suite. Its definitely front, but the bedroom on the Jr. is tight. Staff was awesome. That it is all inclusive and menu dining (not buffet), we were simply blown away by the fine quality of the food and preparation. 24 hour room service a plus; wine and champagne were surprisingly good (and abundant). Top shelf all the way. Not for singles. Get your personal beach front palapa early in the morning and make your dining reservations no later than 8am same day. Pre-arrange a private car service for your round trip (1 hour S of Cancun Airport, appx. $100 with tip, find service via internet, and reconfirm prior to departure). Spa setting could be improved upon, but therapist was great, worked hard. We stayed 5 nights, never left the resort no need. Enjoy!

Overall the hotel had beautiful grounds, nice rooms and decent service. Although there were no particularly bad service experiences, the staff just didn't seem very happy to be there. Not much of the open friendliness I expected. The food at the Asian restaurant was fabulous, but the other restaurants were only so so. I would not recommend the Mexican restaurant (ironic, isn't it). If you're going for more than a few days the food would get very tiring. The only negatives about the rooms were the beds..very hard and uncomfortable.

We stayed at El Dorado Seaside Suites for our honeymoon & could not have been more impressed. Everyone was very accomodating & pleasant. Since it is a smaller resort, it is very intimate & you never feel crowded or over looked. They really go over the top & made our stay the best it could have ever been. We cant wait to go back!!
