| The Malia has a great location. You pay $15 (!!) per day for a parking garage that must be entered from Lewers or you can risk your life/automobile and enter from Kuhio - this entrance should be deemed unsafe for human travel. The staff is very friendly, but don't look too closely at the fit and finish of the room. Other than that, it's a pretty good, clean place to stay. As they say, you're just going to sleep there anyway.

| This hotel was just as nice as a comparably priced hotel in Minneapolis. It is on Kuhio Avenue, which is a main drag there in waikiki, a main bus route street. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach, but no problem. It was clean, quiet, good maid service, friendly staff. Good walking distance to all the sights and restaurants and shops in Waikiki. Thrifty car rental is just a couple blocks away. We rented a car for a day, but the remainder of our time we took the city bus. A four day bus pass is only $20.00 We took the bus from the airport, to Pearl Harbor, to Diamond Head, and snorkeling at Haunoma (sp?) bay.

| This hotel was very clean compared to other places. It was in a good shopping location and there was a 15 minute walk to the beach. No room service, but a good resturant adjacent to the lobby. The parking garage was unlike anything I have ever seen. A regular size car would barely fit onto the ramp and the incline was so steep, the car had to be put in low gear to climb it.

| The rooms we stayed in were comfortable and clean, and the housekeeper was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located--the International Market was just across the street, several restaurants available within a block from the hotel, the beach is about a block away, some attractions are within walking distance,we found a church within walking distance and when we had a kitchenette to cook out food or just to warm up the food.

| Parking cost $13/day but staff was nice. Location was comfortably close to shopping and beach. Breakfast buffet kept our food costs low. I am in hotels all over the world for 3-6 mo a year. I don't like taking chances on bad hotels so I'll try to stay in this hotel the next time I'm in Hawaii.

| We were very pleased with our room - it had plenty of room and a nice view. The staff were very helpful. They offer a nice breakfast. Also have lunch and dinner but didn't take advantage of them. Parking was very easy - never had a problem finding an empty spot. The hotel is very close to Waikiki Beach and lots of shopping.

| Room was not very clean. Parking lot is terrible--very steep and narrow, not very much room. Entrance to parking garage from Kuhio Avenue is dangerous and scary. Enter from Lewers Street to save your nerves.

| We were initially booked on the 8th floor. The entire floor smelled like a bar with the booze and smoke. It was noisy too, with people partying until late. Our room smelled like smoke w/a hint of urine. The remaing three nights were spent on the 12th floor which was more pleasant. The hotel staff was very good at accomodating the move to a different floor. Upon checking into our new room, we discovered canceled tickets dated two weeks earlier and an empty water bottle under our beds. Not sure when the last time the room was thoroughly cleaned.

| the hotel was wonderful and the staff were helpful and friendly especially the sweet woman who cleaned our room for 5 out of 6 days. She was wonderful and respected our privacy. the only thing we would have liked to have had in our room was a microwave and it would have been good to have been able to access the internet without a charge. Most of the hotels we have stayed with over the last few years have had a free internet computer in the lobby and only ask that we limit our time on the computer so that others could enjoy it, too.

| This hotel was okay. The cafe was small and not that great, they don't have a bar anymore. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's worth it. Also, there's no room service.
