| There are a lot of dives in Santa Cruz. Unless you have stayed at a particular hotel befoe, you never know what you will get until you show up. This hotel was better than most, but still not great.

| We got a room here because of it's proximity to the Catalyst Night Club. We were able to walk there (about 10min) and walk home. The room and bathroom were clean and maintained. The staff was very friendly. Never made it up before 10am, so I can't rate the breakfast. We only stayed one night, but I give it a thumbs up.

| This is my new favorite hotel to stay at in Santa Cruz. The service was great, very laid back. My daughter loved the outdoor heated pool and the bridge. I also liked the central location to the Boardwalk and downtown.

| Fantastic location very near the warf and water. Easy to find. The booking and night staff were perfect, however, we found the manager to be less than personable and blamed us for not following instructions she claimed the night staff should have told us. The room was average and a tad worn. On our end of the hotel there was an excessive ammount of traffic noise. Other than that we were satisfied with the hotel and its price.

| Good service and very friendly. This went a long way.. Location to the Boardwalk and resturants are within walking distance. The room definently needs to be remodeled or at least painted. The bathrooms need some serious attention. The carpets need to be replaced fast.In my room the fridge didn't work and hadn't been cleaned out, we found ketchup packets still in it. The carpets were extremly dirty. My wife and daughters feet were both black from walking on it. But with all this the staff were very curteous and helpful, and they are the reasons why I would go back

| The hotel is very central located, the staff is very friendly. The parking is plenty, even though the spaces are too narrow for todays big vehicles. The breakfast was okay, but their coffee is very good. The hotel is very quiet, but we were there in the off season. We also liked the closed gates at night, made us feel very good without worrying about damage to the vehicle. We would stay there again. The boardwalk and wharf are just a short walk away and the access to the hotel is very simple through the neighborhood roads

| We were looking for a fairly inexpensive place to stay, yet not a total dump, and this place fit the bill perfectly. We were visiting during off-peak season, so the hotel was pretty empty when we got there. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, so no complaints there. It seems as if the shower had not been used in awhile, as the water came out brown the very first time we turned it on. After that it was not a problem. The free continental breakfast was about what you'd expect. Overall, this place worked out fine for us. If you're used to staying in fancy hotels, this is definitely a big drop off, but otherwise it's a nice clean hotel. We had no complaints.

| Having lived in Santa Cruz for most of my life, I chose this hotel because I knew it would be quiet, compared to the other hotels in town, yet centrally located for all the fun things there are to do in the area. Reasonably priced, very clean rooms. An older hotel which could use some remodeling. Continental breakfast was a little skimpy. Parking was difficult (very small spaces). Staff were helpful and friendly. I'll go back.
