| We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Point. Make sure to check out all five pools (especially waterfall pool) while you are there. The grounds are beautiful. You can buy duck food at the tiki shop to feed the ducks. The marina restaurant is wonderful. We even rented a boat and sailed around Mission Bay - what a great stay. The kids loved it!!

| Location, Location, Location. A clean, quiet place to stay this is the kind of resort you don't have to leave. Three times we have stayed there with intent to go to Lego Land and we never left the resort. Instead we chose to stay at the resort and enjoy the beach, pools or other activities. Very close to Sea World.

| The rooms were great. Staff was great. However, compared to other resorts in the same price range I was a little disappointed when discarded drink cups and other trash was just left by the poolside (on the ground/under trees) so long that children began using them as pool and sand toys. The room itself was for the most part clean but some areas (like the kitchen counters and ledge surrounding) were overlooked in the cleaning process. They were sticky and had left over clumps of food. Iwould go again, I think in fairness, it was a busy time for the hotel and a limited or rushed staff could be the reason. Pool staff needs to be retrained to get things cleaned up faster. Trash is unsightly when you want to relax on vacation.

| The main attraction here is the nice lush gardens and good location. The beaches surrounding the hotel aren't great, the rooms are 'motel-style' simple bungalows (circa 1960), the hotel was fully booked when we went and it showed: the staff in the restaurants had a hard time keeping up and service in all areas was slow. Check-in time is 4pm which is much later than most places--so if you show up in San Diego in the morning--be prepared to wait. Given the price and the writeups in magazines--we had expected better

| This is an older resort that needs some major updating - they are trying very hard to make it nice, ie: the room, while very small was comfortable, nicely decorated, awesome linens and plushy towels - the patio was not something you would really use. The rooms were described as private bungalows, but actually are multi-room buildings of various sizes scattered about - our building had about ten guest rooms, five on each side, back to back, it was surprisingly quiet though. The major disappointment for me was the pools - while it is true that they have five pools they are incredibly small - the main pool is tiny, and the sand beach is no more than a small strip of sand that is more of an annoyance than an asset - the other four pools are very small, one is for adults, and one is for children. The ducks in the huge adjacent wasted space lagoon have more space for swimming. The mile long beach area is just alright. The resort grounds are very nice with mature plantings, but the room-side parking lots ($20/day)detract a bit from the ambiance. All that said the location to everything couldn't be better - Sea World is literally five minutes away (although you still need a car to get there),and access to the freeways is excellent. We didn't interact much with the resort staff - we had one request that was quickly attended to, and each day the room was cleaned nicely. A small refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee were supplied, but everything else comes with a price tag.

| Each room in this hotel is a separate bungalow--all very cute and very comfortable. The hotel itself is a family wonderland--a great place to take kids to let them be kids. (If you're not into kids, though, this may not be the place for you--it's mostly families with small children. However, there is one adults-only pool for people without kids or who just want to get away from them for a while.) In spite of the fact that the hotel hosts so many children, each bungalow was very quiet--we never heard another soul while inside.

Tennis, Ping-Pong, Waverunner and boat rentals, bike paths, a good massage, and the clean sandy beaches right outside your door coupled with incredible sunsets made the trip perfect. I have never been so relaxed. The food and drinks at both on-site restaurants were pricey, but I'd go again next weekend if i could.

| Thumbs up for location. Resort was easy to find & minutes away from Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Sea Port Village & Bay. The Cabrillo Lighthouse & Naval cemetery were also a reasonable distance away. Property is tropical. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to see the Sea World fireworks from the property every night! Thumbs down for room accommodations/service. Booked 2 queen beds & ended up with 1 queen & mini-sofa (supposed to be a sleeper sofa.) When we arrived they advised us that there were no rooms w/2 queens avail. Sofa was just a sofa. After several calls/complaints a rollaway bed was delivered. (They did forgo the extra $20/night charge for rollaway bed). If you are looking for a place to be left alone from the staff & other guests this is the place. Would not say they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Felt as if we were the step-children since we did not pay the full rack rate for room. The rooms are being renovated. Our room was clean & had new carpet/paint, but still had a few areas that need attention. Enjoyed the main pool during dive-in movie night; so were a significant amount of families w/small children. Enjoyed the sunset view & a meal at the Barefoot Bar & Grill restaurant, however the service was very slow and the prices were high. The gift shop was a disappointment. It was more of an expensive boutique rather than a gift shop. If you are not a size 2 do not bother shopping.

| this was a great hotel to visit for kids. they loved it and we were relaxed since there were many great things to entertain kids. Grounds and rooms were very nice. Roomy, clean, beautiful, convenient location. Only comment is the service could be even better, for the price. People were very nice and accomodating, but my porta crib should have been in my room when I arrived at 2 a.m. after calling ahead to say our flight was delayed we would be late - would the crib be there. 2 a.m. w/ a tired baby and had to call for the crib. Granted it got there 10 minutes later - but the little details are what you expect at this type of accomodation.

| The resort is beautiful, well kept and very family friendly. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable and the mini fridge is a real plus when traveling with children. There are 5 pools to swim in and plenty of things to do on the resort, although many things cost extra. The restaurants on site are way over-priced and the food is mediocre so it's not worth eating there, even for breakfast. Be prepared to spend an extra $20 a night to park next to your room and if you'd like to enjoy the resorts' 18 hole putting course bring your own balls and putters or you'll be paying $9 PER PERSON to use their equipment.

| There were many things that were inadequate, and most of them alone would not have made the stay less pleasant.Food on the chairs, the internet service didn't work, ants in the kitchen,no wash clothes in bathroom, the TV movies didn't work. Then I complained to the Hotel manager, he said he would get things taken care of himself. He brought the house keeping staff to the room to go over these items. After he left he also promised to send us a bottle of wine.It took two more phone calls after that just to get the chairs with food on them removed from the room. The bottle of wine never came. They never fixed the TV or the internet service,(broken line I was told)never offered to move us to another room, they were full I was told. So I think you get the picture. Beautiful property, awful service.

| Paradise Point was absolutely beautiful. Its location was perfect for visiting the beaches. This is a very family friendly resort, so expect lots of children. And if you are a couple traveling alone, check out the adult pool for a little quiet and privacy. There are mimi-fridges in the rooms, so you can stock up on your own sodas or snacks without paying mini-bar prices. The only drawback in my opinion was that the little touches were missing. Nothing important, like the room service menu was missing, that sort of thing.

| The grounds are expansive. We spent much of our trip lost looking for things. There is no lighting at night, but it is just as confusing by daylight. It takes a good day to get the lay of the land. There are very few ice machines and no room service after midinight. However, the surroundings are gorgeuos and the walks invgorating and fun. Our room was gorgeous, and the bed was I think the most comfortable bed I have ever slpet in. Unfortunately, we did not get maid service, we were not sure why, but our stay was only two nights. The main pool was stuffed full of young children and babies, and we had the hardest time finding the adult pool!! Once we did it was wondeful. Now that i know my way around I would love to go back!

| The value recieved for what I paid was terrible. This is not a 4 or even 3 star property. While the grounds are nice, the room I had (garden view) was infested with insects from silver fish to spiders. The air conditioner did not not work the first night and while the staff was pleasant, I had to call 4 times to make sure it was repaired. Room service was ok, but staff never picked up dirty dishes for well over 24 hours with the maid leaving them in my rooms. After I complained, mgmt comped the meal which was find but the same thing happened the next day. The bathrooms are dated, the shower tubs old and it was not as pleasant as I would have expected for the remim I paid. If they made the rooms as nice as the lobby, I might return but I doubt. There are better values to be found in Mission Bay with other properties.

| I was given a room in the very back corner near the restaurant. That would have been fine but new carpet and a new coat of paint gave the room a strong chemical odor that took two days to go away. THere was no remote control on the TV. Once I got the remote I found that a cable on the Tv was not hooked up. Another call to room service. I had to ask housekeeping to clean my room and they had not swept the bathroom in two days. When asking for service I got it. The ground around the hotel were lovely. I did like that there was a separate pool for adults. I stayed seven days. I would not get a package deal again. I felt the room lived up to the price of the package.

| My wife, 2 kids age 4 & 1 stayed five nights at Paradise Point. Overall we really liked the room layout and decor. The main pool was great for the kids- it has a beach like slope into a pool that is no more than 5 feet deep. The grounds are beautiful- lots of ponds and ducks. My only complaints are mgmt attention to detail and some costs. We called before arriving to see if our room would be ready before 4pm- they said no, we were also denied a req. for late check out- be forewarned. We reminded them we needed a crib in our room. When we checked in- the parking area in front of the lobby was a zoo- it was confusing with no attendants informing us where to go or park. It took three calls and three hours to get a crib to our room. One day the kids were napping when the maids came by- we requested they come back after 3pm- never showed. We called at 6 to tell them we would be out to dinner- never showed. Finally called a 3rd time to get clean towels. At checkout they did comp me a few days parking. Like the other reviewer I was think the $20 parking fee is excessive- there is no valet. It is more like motel- you park by your room- I like the set up - but the charge should be baked into the room rate. Other high costs- they charge 3.75 for a cup of coffee at the coffee cart- almost identical to a latte. Otherwise it is a great property that I will surely visit again.
