Overall this is a very nice place to stay, the service was excellent, the room clean with a good view, and the food and drinks were good. The only bad and it wasnt that bad is the beach, there is alot of seaweed, although they do try to clean it up every morning there is just too much.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would go again but this time I would rent a car. The hotel is aways from the hotel zone and after you pay for a cab to take you to and fro it will add up to a car rental.

This hotel was great overall but had some downfalls in certain areas. Our room had very little water pressure in the shower and the toilet was temperamental(had to make sure the lever was up or the next flush would create a unflushable mess). The room had a view of a soccer field instead of the ocean but a friendly bellhop made us laugh and reminded us that we would not spend much time in our room anyway. That prediction was true because Cancun has so much to offer. The food and view from the breakfast area was amazing and there were free drinks at the bar every night. Don't get me wrong, not a party hotel by far but also not a hotel that is stagnant. This is overall an excellent hotel for the cost and the food is great...just get out while you're there and see Cancun. Oh, rent a car...you'll be happier than folks waiting for the bus in front to go anywhere. Cancun hotel zone is a couple un walkable highway miles away.

The hotel was generally nice, it is definitely a family getaway, so I would not go there unless you have kids or don't mind them being everywhere. The staff is very friendly and the food is ok, not a big selection though. The shows at the theater were great, we really enjoyed them, especially the mexican show and disney show.

This hotel was much better than the 2 1/2 stars it was given. The staff was very welcoming and gracious. Food and drinks are available most of the hours of the day. The food in the buffet was at the most fair, but the ala carte restaurant was delicious. This restaurant served a four course meal with 5-star service, which is all included in the price of your stay. You do need reservations for this restaurant. The pool area was small, but we spent most of our time on the beach (which was wonderful), so we didn't mind much. Staff were out on the beach several times a day cleaning the beach area of seaweed. Our room overlooked the ocean. We had a wonderful view, which we enjoyed from our second floor balcony. The beds were quite hard, but it didn't interfere with sleeping.

The hotel staff was very nice and the food was very good. The hotel is situated not in the hotel zone and is quite a ways from downtown Cancun. When we first got there, our bathroom did not work so we were moved to another room. The rooms are clean and nice and I would recommend getting a room with a view of the ocean. I took the advise of another traveler and did not attend the "Welcome Breakfast" as it was a timeshare ploy. The pool was very nice and beaches were very pretty and it was a relaxing vacation and my kids had a great time.

Hotel is not on the hotel zone which explains the great price but public bus transportation is easy and cheap. However, if you don't want to worry about about transportation at all, I recommend you choose a hotel right in the hotel zone. Also, the hotel is 4 stories and NO ELEVATOR... I didn't mind but if you need the elevator, this is not your place. BBC definately worth every penny. Family oriented but you can visit the Blue Bay Getaway (21 & over)and use all ammenities. Food is actually pretty good and beer till you drop! free shuttle service to the Getaway was great (every hour) and once at the Getaway you can catch the public buses (65 cents) down the hotel zone that is about 5-10 minutes away depending on where you go. Downtown Cancun is also about 10 minutes on the buses. A little bit of reconstruction from Wilma is still visible but the BBC was up and running. I was impressed with the recovery.

I went here on spring break with one of my buddies and we had an awesome time. All of your food and drinks were waiting for you, which is different from other hotels that I've heard about in the area. The staff was always friendly and made your stay as fun as could be. This hotel is away from the hotel zone so it's away from the action but its quiet and there is always transportation waiting for you. It's a great hotel especially because you don't have to leave.

Just returned and cannot say enough about it, we had a wonderful time! The staff goes out of their way to accomodate you and to make you feel right at home. We only had one problem with our room (the toilet) and they were there within 10 minutes to take care of it. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, our airconditioning worked great as well as the ceiling fan. We were on the ground floor, beach front and could walk right out each morning. There is always something to do (if you want to)or you can just relax and not do anything. My daughter did the swim with the dolphins at Wet and Wild which was wonderful because that ticket includes all of the water park too....it was a little ride, shuttle over to the other Blue Bay and then cross the street to take a bus but a nice ride. Definetly get the video they do, well worth the money if you aren't taking video yourself. Our best tip that we picked up....bring an insulated cup, works great and saves a few trips. The buffets are great, you will never go hungry here! Dinner at Ostras and Oysters was very nice....be sure to get the flambe coffee, fun to watch! It was my daughter's graduation gift before she leaves for college....I think we had the best time bonding we could have asked for! The dinner shows across the street are very nice also, make sure you catch at least one. I think for the money, you can't go wrong Thank you all at the Blue Bay, you helped make our trip one we will always remember!

We had such a great time. The staff was very accomodating. I don't remember having to open a single door throughout the resort on my own. Every person that you walk past smiles and greets you, regardless of the time of day. We really enjoyed the 'entertainers' and the activites that go on throughout the day. The dinner show was very enjoyable. There is a non-buffet restaurant that is very relaxing (watch out for the camera guy) and requires proper dress. The location of the resort is a shuttle bus away from where all of the action is in "Hotel Row", so you get the benefit of staying in a great resort with the seclusion of being "away from it all." If I ever decide to go back to Cancun, I will definately stay at the "The Bay".

The staff from the management on down were exceptional. The food in the main dining room was average at best. Oystras and Oysters was an extremely enjoyable experience, superb food and outstanding service. It was hot in the hotel. The only air-conditioning was in the sleeping rooms. My room had no hot water in the bathroom sink. I had to use the ice bucket to fill the sink from the tub. The bars were great. Unfortunately, there was a bunch of younger college students staying at the hotel the same time that I was. They spent a lot of time drinking and were loud. They kept playing ball games in and around the pool. That tended to keep my wife and I, as well as other guests that we talked to, away from the pool. Good thing that the hotel is on the beach.

The hotel was great to us. The room that we had was beautiful. The ocean front view from the bedroom and the balcony was to die for. The breakfast buffet was alright, the omelletes were the best. The restaurant that we had to make reservations for at both resorts was exceptionally wonderful. THe activities at the hotels were great for all ages. The sister resort is 21+ and that was a little crazy but the service at both were wonderful. If you would like to have a nice smooth Mexican shot, the one to have is a Mexican Flag, red white and green. The travel agents that were at the resort were great also. We did snorkling out of Aqua world which was great and we did a bar hopping trip, that was also great. Also you can exchange money at the front desk if you would like. I would definetly book this for next year.

I was really impressed by the friendly staff and how nice our room was. this was a short trip and i really didn't want to leave. It was kind of expensive to take the taxi around town but it was worth it. The best food can be found in at the grill instead of the restaraunts on site. i visited the fancy hotels and just didn't get the friendly feel from staff and other visitors at the hotel. The only bad experience came at the airport where they were not friendly when we were trying to go back home.

The Blue Bay CLub hotel is a nice place to stay. I was a little dissapointed about our room, it was an OK room but they could have done a little better in the sense that there were improvements needed as the bed, pillows (did not have enough). One thing that it is obvious in this hotel is their service. All the personnel that work there are there to treat you as a number one guest. They always have a smile on their face, and are willing to go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable.

Rooms were spacious and well furnished. The beach was nice; in particular, we enjoyed windsurfs, small catamarans and kayaks that were available to hotel guests. Service was good. The rooms were clean, but there was a problem with toilets, and it took too long to fix them.Only 5 minutes from the hotel were very interesting and well preserved Mayan's ruins. A nice place to visit (a walking distance from the hotel). However, the hotel made no effort to even mention the site, we discovered it by accident. Instead, there was a lot lobiing for expensive trips to Tulum and Chichen Itsa (the overcrowded turist mills)
