| The beachfront is beautiful and the gardens are lush. The front desk service is courteous and polite. The resort is within walking distance of shopping, a little nightlife, and places to eat. We would definitely go back.

| Overall the hotel was nice. The island itself is very expensive and the service there isn't very good, but that is on the island in general, not just at the hotel. The restaurant was nice there was nice. In the long run finding an all inclusive may be a better bet. Though I would recommend this hotel to others, if I had it to do again I probably would go less days and stay at a more expensive hotel that was all inclusive. Seven days was a little long for us. I think five would have been plenty. The beaches are beautiful and the snorkeling was wonderful.

| we stayed at the Sands at Grace Bay June 2-10, 2006 one bedroom gardenview. Very pleased with hotel. Room was very clean and spacious. Full kitchen with all supplies including blender and toaster. Great screened porch with furniture. Staff was very friendly, maid service was very good. Pools clean, gardens beautiful and well kept. short walk to ocean, plenty of palapas and towels, beach not at all crowded. Food at Hemingway's was very good and reasonably priced for the island. pillowtop bed was excellent! Water was good, no problems with drinking the water or using the ice. excellent half-day tour with JB tours (booked at the Sands).

| You must see Grace Bay Beach! If you love beautiful water, snow white sand and clear sunny skies this is the place for you. Hemmingways was great also. They could use a little work on the free airport shuttle system. It was very crowded and folks all but fought to get on it. I would skip that next time and get a cab. The staff was very nice also. There did seem to be a wash cloth shortage! If you get one hang onto it!

| My son was married at the Sands and the wedding coordinator did a wonderful job, she took care of all of the arrangements. Everything on the island is very laid back (No Problem Mon)so nothing excites them whatsoever. Hopefully I can take some of that attitidue back with me to the "real" world. The only complaint about our stay , the cleaning person responsible for our room upkeep did not do a very good job. We had to hunt down coffee, sugar, creamer when we ran out and trying to find face wash cloths and kitchen towels were like looking for gold, they were in short supply. The positive things were that the beach chairs/umbrelleas were complimentary, plenty of beach towels on hand and the hotel provided guests with plenty of water sport equipment.

| This was our third time back to the Sands. It is a smallish, low key, well-equipped resort on a beautiful beach - you can walk for miles. We have two small children so we appreciate that the rooms are sizeable and we get separate bedrooms so we can actually get a good night's sleep. The open kitchen /living room are great for hanging out, and the screened in porch is very spacious. The kids are completely entertained by the river pools and the beach - the resort is small but designed well so you can choose to hang out at different sites so you feel like there is a change of scenery. Great place, not high end luxury, but nicely done. It is also comfortable for a family, but now swarming with kids or kids activities, although our kids always make a few new friends.

| This was my second stay at The Sands, and as usual I was impressed with the accommodations. We had a two-bedroom, oceanview condo, and found it clean, attractive, and very comfortable. The stretch of beach is fairly large and gorgeous, and the neatly landscaped grounds feature beautiful tropical plants. The lone criticism I have is for the restaurant, Hemingways; while it is practically right on the beach, it features below-average food at high prices. Other than that, I'd highly recommend The Sands for couples and families alike.

| Very nice room with beautiful view. Turks and caicos is absolutely beautiful. The beach beats anything Bermuda or Hawaii has to offer. We stayed in one bedroom suite with ocean view. Washer/Dryer and full kitchen. Every room has huge screened in porch for great breezes. We loved everything about our stay, minus the spa at the Sands.

| Nice grounds and facilities. Walk west (left turn) on the beach about 30 minutes (to Coral Gardens, I think) and there's a ring of red buoys protecting an underground area.If you snorkel on the outside of the west part of the buoy ring you will see different fish and sea turtles grazing. Our room, the smallest available, was still spacious with an efficiency (small refrig and microwave, plus plates, glasses and utensils). Best of all, a closeted washer/dryer in the bathroom. Satellite tv in the room and two internet access pc's in the welcome center. Did not use the gym but it looks very up-to-date. There's only one tennis court and bring balls as the convenience store prices are outrageous. Snorkel eqpt, kayaks, hobies, tennis rackets and what looks to be the first bikes ever on the island, judging by their condition, are available for free use. Service was not overly friendly but it was always polite and the people are hard working. You are not going to be hustled here, but it's a good idea to ask your taxi driver the fare for the destination as its all free lance and not metered; better yet, ask the hotel for their estimate before engaging a cab. Local calls are expensive. A modest size safe is in the room. Mainly a couples resort, with many families with young children. Major construction going on everywhere but it was not noisy where we were. Terrible smell at times, like sewage, some of us thought it was fertilizer being applied to grounds.

The only negative is they could use more beach umbrellas and the beds were a little hard, but overall the Sands and the island were great. Definitely planning on returning.

| Short version I would stay here again. The service was very friendly. The rooms are first rate and we had a lower end room. This place really is a hidden gem. There is only one place to eat but the food is very good you need to make reservations for dinner. I only had small issue I could hear our neighbors because the walls are thin it was not a big deal but I know some people don't like that. Bottom line is this is a great place that I would recommend to any of my friends.

They even supply the racket and balls if you forget them.If you want peace and quiet I recommend The Sands!

| The Sands is on a beautiful part of a long beach, with clear, calm waters. The hotel is professionally run and we had no problems. The restaurant (Hemingways) has good (although not gourmet) food, with entrees that cost approx. $15-$20 at lunchtime and approx. $20-$30 at dinner. There were slightly more children than we expected, but not so many that they spoiled the experience. The pools were clean and one of them includes entertaining features in the form of a waterfall and "underpasses". The good weather, gorgeous beach and crystal clear water were the high points for us.

| Condo was spacious and well layed out. The hotel, pools, and beach were quiet and relaxing. The ocean and sandy beach couldn't be anymore beautiful. The pictures in the hotel advertisement do not do the beach justice. I really can't think of any negatives associated with the hotel. If you enjoy relaxing on the beach this is the island and hotel for you. There really isn't a lot to do on the island other than relax and enjoy the water, diving, beaches, water sports, etc.

| My wife and I were oridinally booked to stay at a different "exclusive" resort for one of our children's weddings (it is also our 28th anniversary). We decided to look around at other resorts and after reading the reviews and what The Sands had to offer we decided to stay there. It was worth it. The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. The fact that it isn't exclusive gave us some freedom to look around and do things as we pleased although there was plenty to do there and the dining at Hemmingways was great as well. We highly recommend The Sands.

| Went to the Sands May 20-23, 2005 for an anniversary weekend and it was terrific I am definitely going back. I enjoy quite time not a loud party atmosphere. Most of the other guests were older, quiet, there were some families too. Went at a time that was not too busy and had one of the nicer rooms I have stayed in, compared to the Westin in Cayman and the Fairmont Glitter Bay in Barbados. The grounds were spacious and well kept and food at hotel was great and pretty affordable. They had three pools with plenty of area for privacy. Most of the condos on Grace Bay are several hundred yards apart so if you want to go to a restaurant you must walk or take a car. Same for shopping. The closest place is the Salt Mill. Some touristy type shops. This is island is VERY undeveloped and POISED growth. Meaning that within the next several month and years there will be GREAT DEAL of construction in and around the Sands area and the entire island. There may be lots of traffic and noise next time? The other thing was the freakin staff! It was like they were burdened to help you? I tried tipping 25% the first couple days but it didnt help at all. It took FOREVER to get a drink or food. I sat at the bar for ten minutes and finally had to ask for a drink? No service at all. But hey, that is not atypical of what youll find in the Caribbean. You just have to understand that is their culture. It is a shame that the hotel industry cannot train their staff to accommodate to their customers.

The beach was beautiful and not crowded - plenty of tiki huts, the food at Hemmingway's was excellent. They offer complimentary transportation to and from the airport. Free Hobie Cat sailing and kayaks are available right off the beach. Awesome resort!
