| clean, "older style" hotel, single story, not your generic looking corporate "Inn". Nice decor, nice pool, decent restuarant, great value for the dollar. Close to Rtes 81 & 76

| Hotel out of date, old bathroom fixtures, carpet stains, etc. Halls need painting, dirty entrance doors and windows, dirty windows in room. Towels stained, sheets were not changed.

| Didn't have a nonsmoking room for us even though I had booked a month ahead, and checked in at 2.30pm. Offered a spray deodorizer instead. Paint on woodwork flaking and woodwork in bathroom rotting. Small TV. Cheap-hotel thin foam "blankets" and too-small sheets. Doubled rates for special weekends at local show venue.

| This hotel has lots of room, but most of them are in out buildings away from the main building. It was a hike to the pool, although the pool was nice, even if it was overrun by kids doing cannonballs. The room was fine, but nothing special. I would probably stay here again unless I could find something closer to my destination.

| Hotel was quiet and easy to find off I-81 in Carlisle. Rooms and general decor were somewhat run down. Good place to stay if all one wanted to do was to sleep when passing through. Room air conditioner / heating unit unusually noisy. Difficult to regulate hot water temperature. Bathroom otherwise clean and hardware in good condition. Bed comfortable. Cable TV worked well. Avoid the hotel resturant!! Service and quality were very poor. Fortunatley there other good eating alternatives close by.

| From reading the reviews I thought the hotel would be horrible, but to my suprise it was not. The bathroom was dirty but the room were relatively clean. The lounge was nice and the staff was pleasant. This is probably one of the nicest hotels in the area.

| This was the last of 15 motels -- a long car trip. We were pleased for the most part with the Carlisle and thought it a good value.

| Lets start with the rude front desk staff, then on to the overflowing garbage can at the entrance to our building, the flying ants in our room, and os course, the smell - definitely not a non-smoking room. And the 'gameroom' - four adult-violence video games in a broom closet! Get real.

| When we arrived at the hotel it was oversold due to a soccer tournament. We had a reservation/prepaid and all they could give us was smoking rooms. They did however compensate us by moving us to another hotel down the street. I don't think I would recommend staying there if you are travelling with your family. THere is a bar and it was pretty busy with guests and locals.

| Carlisle, PA has lots of lodging choices; after a recent stay, the Hotel Carlisle is now on the bottom of my list of options. The bathroom and bedroom were not clean, the furnishings seemed worn, and to top it off, the bed was made with one, short sheet that made the night's sleep uncomfortable.

| While the room was clean, the ceiling was patched and painted obviously several times. The gutters were clogged and overflowing. The heater was missing the grids. When we asked for extra mugs or a refrigerator the service people either didn't understand or just said no -- only one of them spoke English.

| Hotel is older. Although the room I had was spacious, the mattress was not comfortable and the sheets did not fit and would come off the bed. Some of the hallways smelled musty. There was a pool tournament going on there and lots of cigarette smoke filled the entrance to the lobby and some hallways where the play was occurring. Staff were friendly.

| The Hotel Carlisle (formerly the Clarion Hotel) was nice. They had a game room with a half dozen games (which my daughter loved), 3 pool tables, a large indoor pool, jacuzzi that seats 6, a sauna, a full bar, a restaurant, conference rooms and full room service. The down side: The hotel is all on ONE floor, so chances are that you have quite a long walk to your room. The restaurant, while nice, is a little pricey and the pool tables needed replacing; they kept malfunctioning.Overall it was a very nice hotel in a convenient location (1/2 mile from the highway).
