| It is old and has that European feel but is well maintiained. By no means a luxury hotel but for the price you get a really big clean suite which would be great for a family on a budget. It is in a great downtown location that is convenient to all the good restaurants, pubs, and sights. Stayed many other places in Richmond and this is the best option for those who fly coach and want to stay near the best part of town with out paying a premium for it.

| nice hotel with efficient staff inside. rooms are big and clean, and it is very quiet to get some rest. A small restaurant inside which provides good hamburgers. It is located downtown but the neighborhood is office buildings so take your car to go outisde on evening.

| Good hotel, central location, pay for parking. In fairness you pay everywhere in Richmond. No place to eat nearby though. Someone should open a starbucks.

| This hotel was in a great location, had wonderful staffing, and really wonderful views of Capital Square. However, the air conditioning was broken in the "living" quarters of our suite, making it very humid and uncomfortable. Initially, hotel staff placed us in a nonsmoking room when we specifically requested smoking. Although they corrected the problem, the second room was not as nice as the first. It was a great deal and I intend to stay there again.

| I was pleasantly surprised to find this old gem within walking distance of the Convention Center at a reasonable price. Rooms were great. Location across from Capitol Square is cool, but I imagine construction over the next couple years could affect the ambiance. My only beef was an extensive wait (30 minutes plus) for the valet parking to return my car.

| The lobby was terrific, but the room was not. The bedskirt on one bed was tucked up between the mattress and box xpring. The paint was scuffed in the room and bathroom. The mattress was lumpy, and the carpet had spots.
