the hotel is okay but when we checked in at the late night(around 11pm), the front desk lady was so rude. But when I return to the front desk next day in the day time, the front desk assistants are all nice. I guess she is the only case..:( Bring your own shampoo and bath kits. becuase they didn't give enough if you have more than 2 in a room. I have to get out of the room and look for the housekeeper to ask more shampoo. except these, the hotel is okay and the price is reasonable.

It is not a fancy hotel by any means but is very affordable compared to other places in San Diego. They have a pool and hot tub. The breakfast is a little boring especially if there for multiple days. They tend to run out of fresh fruit early. Have stayed at hotel many times and only once had a room that was unsatisfactory. For the price it is a decent place to stay.

This hotel was ideal for what I was looking for. Something close to the highways, clean, and safe. For the price, you can't beat it. The pool was heated to 80 and spa was clean. The grounds were nicley kept and the staff was helpful. The contenential breakfeast was alright, just alittle something to hold you over. There were many different resteraunts within walking distance and a short drive.

This was the second time I stayed here, and still the same opinion. An old motel which has been renovated into a rather nice newer motel. Very clean, well kept, with very nice staff. The only issue I would warn about is the noise... Of course it is not noisy every night, but it has happened most nights I've stayed. Sound bleeds through the outside facing doors as if they are not even there, so you hear everything outside. And since a lot of military personnel seem to stay there, it gets a bit loud most nights. And one night there were two planes in a holding pattern over the hotel for nearly 45 minutes - that was horrid!!!! Anyway, bring some earplugs just in case, though I only had to use mine one out of five nights stayed so far.

Rooms and bathroom were clean, spacious and comfortable, place was quite and peaceful, pool and hot tub were in working order, free continental breakfast was decent, staff was courteous and parking was free. It was located centrally to all tourist attractions. And you can't beat the low rates.

If you sleep like a rock & enjoy having a large, well maintained room-this place is for you. If you sleep anything but, you might want to rethink your stay. Upon checking in I was assured that the management frowned upon excessive noise & acted promptly, but was shown otherwise during my 4 night stay. The weeknights were just as loud as the weekends, as this place seems to cater to partiers. The management does nothing to quiet tenants down even at midnight on weeknights, so if you don't sleep soundly-find another place to stay. Otherwise this place is great.

Overall, not a bad place to stay. Always came back to a clean room. The kitchen ammenities were in good condition. Last year I was in a room with no cook-top, this year a two burner cook-top. Good for families or anyone who would want to save a few dollars on meals by making your own, however grocery stores are not within walking distance. As long as you have a car and are willing to be some distance from main San Diego attractions, this hotel is pretty reasonable.

The friendly, accommodating, competent staff were the start of a good experience at this hotel. The accommodations were a little dated but clean. The property secure. Continental breakfast was adequate and a good, friendly restaurant next door for a more filling, hot breakfast. There was a microwave, fridge and stove top in the room, but no cups, utensils, or dishes to use with them. Great location for freeway access. The stay was worth the good price we paid.

This is an older motel property, and from the front it looks pretty scangy. Once inside, the lobby is nice, the landscaping of the grounds is really beautiful. Lots of attention to detail. The room was obviously older, but very clean. The bed was comfortable, and it smelled fine. They advertise wireless internet, but there is a charge. Great place for the price. Will definitely stay again.

I stayed at this hotel based on other travelers opinions - never again - the only nice thing I can say, is that at least it was clean - but if you are staying at the front of the hotel near the busy street, forget sleeping. The front desk clerks were not very accomadating. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

Beautiful landscaping. A heated pool that really was HEATED! We could swim at night in early February! Close to the thruway. You could get anywhere around San Diego in 15 minutes or less. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Wal-mart about a mile away. We enjoyed the talking cockatoo in one of the courtyards. The only complaint was that we could hear the TV in the room next door.

I stayed here with my husband and two children(ages 3 and 5) for 5 days. Our room was very clean and had a fridge and microwave. The free breakfast was bagels, toast, fruit, and cereal. The outdoor pool and spa were great. The weather was in the mid 60's at night and the water was nice and warm in both the pool and spa. We went to Sea World, the zoo, and the animal park and found this hotel very centrally located. There was easy access to main highways. There were also many restaurants within a couple mile radius.

There is no attractions around the Hotel. To go to sightseeing without a car, it is more convienient to accomodate in Downtown, since there are substantial numbers of bus lines departing form Downtown. I had to walk 1.5 hours to go to 1.5miles north, because there are no direct streets apart from highways.

It can go on till late hours including marital fights, game screams, loud televisions, and disrecpetful neighbors. Thank you.

Hotel was small and it stink. Parking lot was small. It would be fill up by 9:30pm at night. Would park at the opposite side of our hotel room. Floor was sticky and a/c unit looks moldy. Have the view of the gas station. Alot of noise at night and day. Shower head was too short. I'm 5:10. Maid didn't replace shampoo so we dindt' have none for the second day. Look like a motel instead of a hotel. Good thing was it was near the freeway and walmart was down the street. Front lobby employee were nice.

This hotel was only 15 minutes from everything. Of course the beach would have been preferable but for the price you can't beat it. Wal Mart was just across the way if you forgot anything and there were a few places to eat close by. The hotel was secure and required a key to get in so we felt safe. The only complaint was that they gave us a double bed when promised at least a queen but we managed. Roll aways are an extra $10 PER NIGHT. The best was that I din't have to go home with dirty laundry since they have a laundro-mat $1.25 wash and dry!

I chose this hotel since it was midway between Sea World and Legoland. That ended up being the only positive thing about this place. The hotel staff were extremely rude and/or not at all helpful in every interaction. The bed was very uncomfortable and the towels were like sandpaper. The washer/dryer were convenient but since many people live here rather than use it as a hotel I found it difficult to find an empty one. Additionally there are locked gates at all parking lot
