From the hotel lobby to each of the three rooms my family stayed in, the entire hotel was filthy and not maintained...Including the pool area. We travel to San Diego regularly, and this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Save your money, stay elsewhere.

My stay was for six nights in late June. The exterior looks average, the hallway was hot, but every effort was made into the rooms being exemplary, furniture, temp control, etc, with the exception of the tv, which had a volume control issue. The hotel is located back-to-back to Highway 8, about ten miles from the ocean, so it's a little warmer outside than the bay or the beach, but the location provides for easy access to everywhere.

I would stay here again considering the prices of competing hotels in SD. It is a very short drive from more expensive hotels on hotel circle. Only thing I didn't like was hearing noise through the walls, like water running from showers in the morning.

For our trip the location was ideal-convenient to the airport, trolley and zoo. The down side is that rooms on the freeway side of the motel have quite a bit of traffic noise. The non-freeway side is quiet. I would consider staying there again only if I could get a room on the quiet side.

The only benefits of this hotel is its price and that its close to the zoo and Sea World. They had no hair dryers, the bathroom was rusty and mildew riden and the patio doors were moldy. They never returned our call when we requested more pillows. We also came to find a blood stain on our mattresss upon departure. DISGUSTING!!! We would not recommend this place unless you are desperate.

If you're trying to save money and just need a place to lay your head and shower, this is a great place. I thought it was strange, though, how on my first night, the man at the desk said that unless I have dial up, I can't get internet access. The second night, I called the front desk about it, and the lady said there is free wireless in the hotel lobby. Well that was a nice surprise! Overall good comfort and good accommodations for the price. I will go there again when my budget is tight!

I had to switch rooms three times, because the bathrooms were moldy. The front desk woman was completely unhelpful, I did not appreciate running back and forth to the front desk lobby with lugguage up and down stairs three times. I would not wish this kind of experience on my worst enemy. I do not recommend this hotel.

Upon check in, we had to return twice to the main desk to get our keys to work. The carpets in the hallways were threadbare; the television reception was very poor - one station had no sound. Every evening of the four we stayed, we had to visit the front desk to ge tour keys fixed. I was at the pool one evening, got locked out and had to climb a wall to get to the office to get my key fixed. They have no irons or ironing boards.

I am one of the most easy going persons on earth. I set up a trip for my girlfriend and I to go all through California and this was the worst hotel out of all. Right when we got into bed, there was a cigarette burn in our sheets - in a no-smoking room. The metal tissue box fell out of the wall when we tried to get a tissue. Not many nice things about the hotel. Spend a little bit more and stay somewhere nicer.

Finding an inexpensive room in San Diego was not easy, and in most cases you get what you pay for. In this case we didn't even get that. We had a non smoking room that faced the swimming pool and the freeway. The noise was something we could deal with but the smell in the room had us wishing we were camping instead. the room smelled of sweat socks and stale feet. the headboard was broken off the wall and had fallen behind the bed. I will say that they came to the room and fixed it when they were called, but the overall condition of the room left a lot to be desired. The front desk clerk was unfriendly and seemed annoyed that he had to check us in. We had to park on the street both nights and walk to the hotel because there wasn't enough parking and the television only recieved a half dozen channels. San Diego was beautiful and getting out of the room each day is the only thing that made this trip bearable.

My first indication that this was a fleabag hotel was that I had to check-in at a night window since it was supposedly "after hours (it was 11pm). This is dangerous for anyone traveling alone at night with their purse or wallet. Among other things, here's what I found: No shower curtains or shower door in the bathroom, so I figured I would take a bath. Well, I couldn't do that either since there was no spout for running water and no plug for the drain. So, I took a shower and water splashed all over the floor. I almost slipped - more than once. I had to cover the entire area with towels. TV didn't work - I would turn it on and it would automatically turn itself off. Reception was bad, very snowy. -No hair dryers. You'd think they'd have one or two handy at the front desk , just in case...but nope. -Loud buzzing sound coming from...? Woke me up several times during my sleep. -Old Phonebooks. Had 3 of them, but they were all July 2003 editions. -Bath towels were thin and tiny, and barely cover your body. -No mattress cover on the bed, only a small mattress cover that didn't fit. -No "Do not Disturb" signs. -The drapes were hideous as they were too long, spilled out onto the floor and all crunched up. Not only that, but you couldn't draw them because there weren't any sheer curtains underneath.

The hotel was terrible. The worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. Very dirty in the rooms, and smelling very bad. I even informed the staff and the replied that they did not guarantee these stuff. Specially, I had requested non-smoking and the room was a smoking room with smell all over it. The did not help changing my room. All my clothes smell smoke now.

The carpet and flooring didn't seem all that clean, which is a must when you travel with small children. I was disappointed with the cleanliness. There was mold growing in a large patch on the bathroom ceiling. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

When I got there I was hoping that it would be something like what I had seen in the picture. Obviously it wasn't! The room was tiny and in a ghetto area. It wasn't very clean. There were cobb webs everywhere especially along the curtains. The matress was not firm at all and the middle sunk in. Overall I was not happy with my stay there but like they say...you get what you pay for!

When I arrived (10:30pm) I was forced to check in through a gas station like window and stand outside in the cold and fog. Once assigned my room, walking down the hall, the carpet was fraying against the wall, and there was a foul odor down the hallway. In my room, it was clean and simple, but smelled very musty. The beds did not have fitted sheets over the mattress, just a sheet that barely fit over it which caused the raw mattress to be exposed through the night with tossing and turning. We got what we paid for. It was only a place to sleep, so we did not complain.

I made this reservation on the internet so wasn't sure what to expect. Since I knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the room, I went for one of the cheapest in the area. I was very pleased to find that this was not only a spacious room but also very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to my friends.
