| The motel lobby & breakfast area are fine & the people working there couldn't be any nicer. Our room was in a section that hadn't been painted in a long time, the air conditioning was very loud and not great and the room was not clean enough and the linens were very worn. We needed a non-smoking room & it appeared that the whole non-smoking section was in need of renovation but the smoking section was updated a bit.

| This hotel may have been clean when it was just renovated, but it isn't anymore. There were roaches in my room. I felt that I was charged more than what the hotel offered. This is a one star hotel, not two-half star hotel. Because I already paid for it through expedia I was not compensated for the state of the room or the roaches. There were better hotels nearby. Stay there.

| Our room was comfortable. It was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave. The .99 breakfast was a definite plus.

| The old adage "you get what you pay for" fits. It was not bad but is a very old motel that needs some TLC. The cleaning service could be improved as there was trash under the bed and around the nightstand. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

| Had to move rooms because room was smokey (even though non smoking room). Overall room too small and too much stuff in it. No outlets available.

| The rooms were overall unclean, linens were dirty from previous guests and we had to move to a different hotel due to high risk of safety issues at our expense.

| A nice budget priced place to stay. Free high-speed wireless internet. Old, and it shows, but still well maintained and clean. Some of the NICEST hotel staffers you'll ever meet. Nice outdoor pool and close to some excellent shopping, as well as Charleston's sights. Oh, and it's on the landing pattern for Charleston's airport but if you're into watching big military jets land, you'll be in heaven.

| The only remodeling we saw was in the lobby. Our room was smelly and the sheets, pillow cases and towels looked old and stained. We were also so close to the Airport it sounded as if an airplane was going to land in our room.

| It looked nice from the road, and the lobby was nice, but the room itself was smelly and the bathroom needed remodeling... stained tub, cracked plaster, and no washcloths. Not a 2 star kind of place.

| The hotel has just been fixed up. We had a nice clean room, had a few drinks in the bar, and had a nice breakfast in the morning. I guess the reviews are a little out dated, because we thought it was a nice clean hotel.
