It was not worth the amount of money you had to pay to stay there. Also, the parking was horrible ($9 a day) and there was no bathroom space at all. only one person could use the bathroom at a time. there was not even an outside sink. or room to put your personal bathroom items. I would not recommend this place for a family to use.

The rooms were ok for a one night stay, it was a fairly clean place to sleep. Access to the rooms wasn't very good. The underground parking was absolutely horrible, virtually all of the columns and most of the walls had marks on them, the spaces were very tight and I could not make the corners in a Taurus without backing up. If you rent a car get a small one or stay somewhere else. Otherwise, it's an inexpensive place to stay in a fairly decent part of town.

The bathroom was extremely tiny and overall, the room wasn't much larger. Had a okay balcony to sit outside on. Hotel was close to many restaraunts and clubs. But, the room was a bit pricey for what it was and the parking fees were a bit ridiculous.

Alhough we had a little problem at first, our door wouldn't always open, after a room change we were very satisfied. The shuttle staff were outstanding-the best service I've ever recieved! The front desk staff were helpful-many good suggestions for first time visitors.

We were very impressed with this hotel and it's staff, always there to answer questions. They may not have had the answers but they listened attentively. No problems with the room what so ever. The shuttle service could be a bit more flexible as to where they will take hotel guests. We couldn't go to some of the places we wanted to due to our lack of knowledge of the area and transit system. The Indigo Cafe located near the hotel is reasonably priced and has delicious food. Excellent location to the zoo, Gas lamp quarter and Harbor Drive. Over all, it was a great experience.

Pretty comfortable place to stay, very close to the gaslamp district, balboa park and the S.Diego trolley station that can take you almost everywhere including Mexico. The only black spot: complimentary wireless internet would be greatly appreciated.

Overall, I was looking for a hotel that was a good value and close to the Gaslamp district/Petco. The hotel was a good fit for that. The room as fairly clean except for an exposed stain on the mattress. The bathroom towels were "thin" at best. Overall, a decent value but not flashy.

Great hotel! Especially for the price. They gave us a free upgrade to a suite for no real reason, and the staff was very helpful. The free shuttles to the zoo and airport were great, and can help save a few bucks. However, they claimed they had discount passes to the zoo but then said they were out. The shuttles also tended to be a little late, so be sure to book them well before your flight. Overall very good experience!

I was nervous to stay at this hotel after reading the reviews but I went ahead and chose it anyways. First I'll say the parking garage is very tight and hard to move around in but we never took the car out during our stay so this wasn't really a problem. Our room was completely remodeled and very nice. The bathroom was small but it was very nice. We didn't deal with the staff too much but when we did they were friendly and responsive. For the price it is in a great location - you can walk downtown, to seaport village, to the park, just about anywhere. I thought it was a great value.

The hotel parking was very poor. Unless you have a compact car you almost can't fit in the parking garage. We almost hit every pole in the structure with our minivan. The hotel it's self was average. It wasn't too far from Sea World. I don't think we will stay here again.

Maybe it will be more expensive but there's a lot of difference. Suites with balcony are closer to the elevator (so you won't have to walk a very long hallway) and have a much better view.

My husband and I traveled to San Diego from Stockton, CA with our newborn baby and stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites. After reading the other two reviews we were a little worried but the price was right so we tried it. When we got there we were very impressed! The outside of the hotel has an "old" downtown feel and the decor in the hotel was beautiful. The employees were very friendly. We had a room with a view of the pool and downtown & could even see the harbor..we kept the curtains open to sleep by the lights of downtown. They also had a great happy hour in the Lobby Bar. Since we had the baby it was nice that there were lots of restaurants to choose from in walking distance. We will stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to our friends. The price was great also!

Vegas reviewer probably overreacted a little bit as I would imagine they are used to a higher quality hotel. This is definatley a 2 star hotel. It's there to save you money and keep you off the street. The rooms were clean and fortunately no roaches. However, our air conditioner was broken and could not be repaired; plus the hotel was full so we could not be moved. The surly clerk at the time suggested that we should open the window, however the window was previously "repaired" with packing tape and bathtub caulk. So we couldn't open the window and had to sleep with the balcony door open. Complimentary airport shuttle was late both times we used it as well.

The place is a run down dive. Horrible TV reception, filthy room, noisy, roach infested, service is horrible, no decent place to eat for blocks, and horrifically overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend to anyone and will not return!
