This was our 1st stay at Gold Coast -- and it will be our last. We were greeted at check in desk by an unpleasant young man whose demeanor was that we were interrupting him from socializing with his coworkers. When attempting to use their coupons, particularly a 2 for 1 drink coupon, given us at check in at one bar, the bartender was rude, slow, and served watered down drinks. (We used them at other Coast Hotel/Casinos and those bartenders were very pleasant). Restaurant service wasn't much better. The only pleasant employees we encountered were at blackjack tables and the housekeeping staff. Gambling was good, but we stayed away from the hotel as much as possible because of the staff's demeanor.

If your looking for a safe, clean and inexpensive place to stay in Vegas, the Gold Coast Hotel is the spot. The average room rate is comparable to downtown hotel rates but this hotel is slightly off the strip. The rooms are clean and the service is quite good. Each guest is also given a discount book upon check-in that adds to the stay. There is a small pool with bartender service if you are planning you trip in the summertime. Access to the strip for gambling and shows/sites is on the other side of the freeway within walking distance (1 mile) or a very short cab ride. I would definitely chose this hotel in the future if rooms are available.

Definitely would stay there again and would recommend it to a friend. The only drawback is that it is not on the stripe but the lower price more than compensates for that. The shuttle service is prompt so it makes acess to the stripe viable.

Especially liked the shuttle and ability to get around without having to drive myself. This would be the one outstanding feature that I would recommend to my friends.

We recently had a one night stay in Las Vegas, and only needed a room for sleeping and showering purposes since it was such a quick trip. The rate we got at the Gold Coast was awesome for a weekend night in Vegas. The room was clean enough, though we thought the furnishings were a bit tacky and dated. The pillows could have been more comfortable and we didn't find extra bedding in the room. Overall it was fine and we were satisfied upon leaving.

This hotel is located close to the strip and had free shuttle service to sister hotels. I was please to find that there was close parking to the hotel entrance. The restaurants were clean with friendly service and the food was good, there were plenty of snack places also. I am a bowler and was glad to know that was a large bowling facility on the premise. Our first day we did not leave the premise. We will stay there again.

It was feasible for our trip since our convention was at the RIO. Overall looks and appearance seem old and dirty. Maids came knocking at 8:30am...Maybe a 2-Star

We were first given a room with a King bed, and had requested to full beds. The next day the situation was remedied. Upon registration, the hotel gave you a coupon book to use at the casino, lounge, ice cream shoppe and gift shop. The Gold Coast had an awesome band at the lounge each night we were there. Service was great, the food was pretty good.

It was a pleasant stay if you don't want to be right on the strip but still have a nice casino/hotel. Our maid was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice, convenient shuttle that takes you to the strip.

Having free shuttles to take you from one Coast Hotel to another was a big plus, because who really wants to drive five miles an hour stop and go up and down the strip. The hotel itself has plenty to do with a showroom and bowling alley. The Cortez Room serves up a wonderful steak with romantic atmosphere. The only bad thing that happened is on our first day the shower got clogged after one shower. Maintnence was rather quick getting to the room, but took a little while to clear a rather disgusting hair clog from the drain. Putting the tub back together didn't look to easy either. Nut you really don't go to Vegas to stay in a room. So I'd recommend this hotel for a place to get some sleep in between going out.
