I admit this is not the Venetian, but it was still great, the staff were friendly and because we went mon-fri, we only saw a total of 8 kids, as far as navigating the casino as long as you know how to read you will have no problems getting to your room. For those who are disappointed in not getting a strip view remember there are 5000 rooms and not all of them can face the way you want. I would certainly stay here again. Very Clean Rooms

We picked this hotel for our 5th trip to Las Vegas because we wanted to try out their spa facility included in our package. The fitness center and spa, though ordinary, is spacious and modern. On the day of my visit to the spa, the Eucalyptus steam room was out of service. But my husband reported that it was very good. As for the guest room, it felt like a cheap motel room, very disappointing. Just because this is a medieval themed hotel does not mean that it has to age forever without a proper update. Originally we asked for a strip view room and paid an extra $10, but was given a room facing Tropicana Ave. We cancelled the upgrade and moved 5 floors lower to another room which turned out not much different from the previous room in terms of view. We were glad that we did not spend our $10 for nothing. Overall, it was not a satisfying stay for us and we would not visit again.

For starters, the hotel was cheap for the most part, but to get to our rooms it was very confusing, had to go to diffrent elevators to go to diffrent rooms, and the walk to the casino was way out there seem to take forever, the beds that they had there was very hard and difficult to sleep on, thank goodness i spent one night there or my back would of killed me

This was our first time to Vegas, so we didn't know much about the different hotels. Excalibur is not a bad hotel, but there's nothing great about it. The hotel is fairly old and it's clear they're not trying to win any customer service awards. This hotel is simply a place to lay your head at the end of the night, but I didn't want to go to the room to unwind b/c it kind of had that "sticky" feeling. Rooms are pretty dark (I guess due to the castle motif). If you can afford it, stay elsewhere.

The Excalibur needs renovation. On top of the fact that we requested a king bed and didn't get it, our bedspread had cigarette holes (keep in mind we were in a non-smoking room), the towels were paper thin, and overall the rooms were dingy. Also everytime someone left or entered their room the door made a loud bang. My favorite part of the hotel is that there is a Krispy Cream donute place and five dollar roulette tables. Good location, yucky room.

We were very impressed with the hotel. I did feel safe in the hotel going up to my room alone or with my family knowing there is a guard at the elevator entrance to see your room key. Everyone was very friendly. It didn't take long to check in or out of the hotel. The rooms were kept clean during our stay. The food was very good and reasonable in the buffet. I like being able to stay inside the building to walk over to Luxor. We enjoyed the casino, but didn't see any shows during our short stay there.

I enjoyed my stay at the Excalibur in Las Vegas. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the rooms and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. My parents also went on the trip with me and they had the same comment (and my Dad always complains about the mattress, but not this time)I attend conferences all over the USA and I would rate them at the top of my list.

It would be nice if the hotel management did something about them.

My husband and I just returned from a five night stay at the Excalibur. We attend the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo almost every year and have stayed at the Excalibur five times in the last six years. We always enjoy out stay there. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The restaraunts are good, the buffet this year was fabulous, lots of extras that weren't there last year that fit well to a low carb or diabetic diet. One of the other reasons we stay there is the location we find it so easy to get anywhere we want from there. But especially easy to get to the Thomas and Mack center. We will definetly stay there again in December 2005.

After all I heard about Las Vegas casino/hotels, I must admit I was somewhat disappointed. The room was merely a hotel room, with little to set it apart from any other hotel room in the country. We ordered room service one morning and it took over an hour to receive coffee, juice and rolls. The morning buffet was merely adequate, certainly nothing to write home about. Our next trip we will definitely opt for a higher end casino/hotel and hope for improved room/service.
