Easy check in and check out thanks to Expedia. I liked that a guard checked room keys before letting anyone access the elevators. Once we figured out where to park, the walk wasn't that bad. This place is HUGE! Probably the 2nd largest casino I'd been in. Rooms were comfortable, but bed was too firm, I don't like that but other might. The burger place was great. They were also installing a TGI Friday but they won't open for a few more weeks. A movie theater and bowling was a nice break too. Not tomention that some of the prettiest waitresses I saw in Vegas were here! ;)

This casino is huge, took me about 10 minutes to find out where to check in, but that went quickly. The room was big and comfortable. The room was spotless every day when we returned from the strip. I was impressed with the guards checking room keys before letting you go to the rooms. The movie theater was nice and uncrowded. I'm going back in Sept. and am staying at the Orleans again.

The Room was big. Had a King bed that was not very confortable (To Hard for us). The room was clean and smoke free. The food was average. We had the dinner buffet. The Buffet had the all the standards. The Poker room was big and busy. The Craps table had a $3.00 min. that work great for teaching the wife. The bowling alley was average. Lanes where okay not beat up. The Balls where beat up! We used the coupon for bowling and the drink tickets at the bar in the bowling alley. Had a few beer and bowled. We had a rent car and self parked. You have to walk alittle bit to get to the ramp and rooms. not to bad. Casino theme is pretty cool. The Casino is alot bigger than I thought it would be. Good Times!

Gambling machines always filthy no matter what time of day you play them. Mattress was a cheap piece of foam 4" thick. Cushions on couch need replacing from sagging. Not comfortable on a 5 night stay. They need to pump oxygen onto the gambling floor to make it breathable from all the cigarette smoke no matter what time of day. No one ever smiled or was friendly that worked there.

We only stayed one nite, but would go again. Nice lobby, room was clean, smelled great for non-smkg. A great price for the room, but the room walls were very thin - we could hear everything from the halls and the rooms next to us. The casino was also smokier than the nicer hotels. I liked the added security with the guard at the elevators checking room keys.

It was striking how "fresh" the non-smoking floor smelled. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to show their concern. When the valet attendant went to get my car at the very busy time of 12:15 pm it had a flat tire. I recognized they were busy and offered to call Automobile Club to take care of it, but the attendant insisted he wasn't that busy and changed it for me.

Our family loved this hotel. Our room was beautifully decorated and was very clean. The bathroom had gorgeous tile and was stocked with more products than usual. We enjoyed taking our small children to the swimming pools, especially the perfect sized wading pool for little ones. The DSL worked great, although it had a daily fee attached. The location is great, just turn left on Tropicana Ave. and after a mile you will end up at the New York, New York Casino and the MGM Grand. The only problem I have with The Orleans is there are not enough restaurants to keep you there. The line for breakfast was unbelievably long and we ended up leaving the hotel to eat somewhere else.

First trip to Vegas - picked the Orleans due to the online reviews.Room was exactly as shown on net - it was Very clean and comfortable if somewhat tacky in decoration (I guess I don't go for that Mardi-G type decore). We overlooked the pool area, and had a great mountain view, which was very nice. Now for the bad part. We found the food to be AWFUL - in every one of the 9 places to eat at the hotel - not clean enough for us AND very low quality. The buffet was so bad that we left without eating - we should have asked for our money back. There also seems to be a lack of visable management at this hotel - on a couple of days there was a huge group of teenagers hanging around the main elevators (the only route up to the rooms)- they were swearing and carrying on - and the security guards were standing near by doing NOTHING. The pools hours are unacceptable. The shuttle back and forth to the strip was terrible - waited forever both times- standing out in the heat - and then took taxis back to hotel anyway.

I would stay at the Orleans again. It was clean with minimal smoke in the casino. Our room was clean and the "mini-suite" style was a nice touch. Our view out the window was of the roof of the casino but we didn't go to Vegas to sit in our room and look out the window. If a view is important to you make sure you ask as you check in. Overall, A great place to stay in Vegas.

We were looking for an off-strip hotel to take the kids. Very affordable. Had a problem with ants in our room the first night, but the hotel moved us quickly and took care of the situation promptly. We will go back to this hotel on our next trip to Las Vegas. Be sure to get a rental car. you can get to strip locations quicker with your own car and be dependent on taxis or shuttle buses. Most of the big hotels on the strip have free self parking. All of the restaurants were good. Pricing reasonable. Quick service. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The rooms at The Orleans were great. Large, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staying off-strip was much better in most ways. The free shuttle service runs every half-hour so you can go to the strip whenever you want. The Orleans had a very relaxed atmosphere. The only complaint we had about the place was the parking is a little confusing. It was pouring down rain when we arrived, so we did not see the parking area at the back of the building. Otherwise The Orleans was great. We are already planning on staying there again next year.

Standard rooms are larger than average, almost like "mini-suites", with sitting area including chairs and couch. Personnel went out of their way to help us on multiple occasions. They even go so far as to stock the bathroom with not only shampoo, conditioner and a unique "oatmeal" soap....but also shower gel, mouthwash, hand lotion and other useful items. Casino and surrounding bars/restaurants are laid-back and unpretentious.

The most impressive thing about this hotel/casino is its rooms. They are spacious and nicely decorated. Almost has a feel of a suite but without the high prices. I spent a lot of time in the casino. There are many options for gambling, movies, bowling, food, etc. My only issue is that the sheets gave me a rash on my legs. Next time, I will bring my own sheets! This hotel was worth it!

This was our first trip to Vegas and we're definately coming back! The hotel was wonderful-very clean, comfy beds and good overall service. We liked the fact that it was off the Strip (quieter and not quite as busy) although sometimes we had to wait for the shuttle (no more than 20 min usually) and it stopped running at 12:30am, which is pretty early for Vegas! Overall we were very satisfied and would definately consider staying here again.

Unlike other hotels in Las Vegas that I have stayed in, the Orleans actually had an inviting, pleasent room atmosphere. I enjoyed the ambience of the casino, the aminities the hotel offers, as well as the responsive service in the hotel/ casino. I was unimpressed by the restaurants that the hotel offers, the service was very poor, and the food left something to be desired. More over than that, the restaurants felt cramped and unwelcoming.

The Orleans hotel and casino is an excellent place to stay in Las Vegas. The hotel's free shuttle takes you to and from the Strip. The hotel staff were the friendliest I've seen in a long time, and experienced in their fields. The hotel is clean, and with several excellent restaurants, a gym and spa, movie theatre and more, it's possible to never even leave the hotel except just to walk down the noisy, crowded Strip, and then come back to the quiet and comfort of the Orleans.

We enjoyed staying at the Orleans. It's location off of the Strip gives it a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere. The movie theatre in the hotel was a nice break from the busyness of Vegas. Two complaints only: The beds were just not comfortable. A hard matress with an over-soft mattress pad on top - it just wasn't comfortable. Also, there is an iron and ironing board in every room. However, to keep people from stealing it, they have tethered the iron to the board with a short steel cable. As you iron, you must keep the cord and the tether out of the way while the piece of junk iron spews water on your clothes. As a person who likes to get dressed up there, I found this setup time consuming and infuriating to deal with.
