This hotel is not actually located in Long Beach (or Wilmington), but Carson City. To get there using the 405 S, take the Avalon exit and turn left at Dominguez, take the very first right and you will see it. Unfortunately there is nothing to do in Carson - the mall and all the places to eat are still in development and if you are vegan or have any sort of alternative diet you will need to drive to another town to eat. The hotel is nice, it's just as you would expect if you've ever stayed at a hotel of this sort... some people who work there are really nice and helpful, some are not so much - just like any place you go to ever. I really have no problems with the hotel itself, other than the fact the toilet masteriously flushed for 20 minutes until I noticed it had been a long time and fixed it. Real minor, seems like the toilet is just old. And maybe if it were somewhere more interesting it would be nice - but it doesn't really matter because we were out and about most of the time going to interesting places. So I would recommend staying here if you just want a clean place you can sleep and so forth. Everything in LA is so spread out, so this area is alright for a resting ground. However, next time I go to Los Angeles - I want to stay somewhere where more is happening.

What is good about this hotel is it offers a plenty of parking, free of charge. It also offers free wireless internet. Other than that, nothing impressed me.

The staff was very nice. The rooms were clean. I have a bad back so I often have trouble sleeping away from home, but the matress was wonderful and experienced no back problems. There are several options for shopping and dining in the area around the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and we had many different things to choose from. Extremely safe area. For the money I spent, it is a great find.

This hotel was one of the better places I've stayed in. The room was thoroughly cleaned and looked very presentable for hotels in this price range. The bathroom was decent and the beds were very comfortable. If you stay here don't forget about the complimentary breakfast (6am-9am). Also there are many stores including a Target and an Ikea across the street.

I choose this hotel because of the location and for the complimentary breakfast. The location worked out but the breakfast wasn't served at a time I could eat it. On weekends it isn't served until 7am, I had to leave at 6am. They also have a game room listed but when I asked where it was, it wasn't ready yet. The room was clean and the decor ok (except the iron sized burn mark on the carpet).

The hotel is a fantastic place, which gives you a great deal of comfort at a more than affordable price. The warm breakfast is truly recommendable (compared to what you get in most places). There are some additional fees on the order of four dollars a day, that were not known to me beforehand, but that was fine. The rooms could look the same at much more expensive places, meaning they were wonderful in terms of comfort, condition, and cleanliness. 5 out of 5 points!

Overall very good hotel. The additional cost per day of $4.40 was unexpected. It is billed as a "security fee" and a "safety box fee". I did not feel that I used either one.

The location was super since I had to go to Long Beach and LA several times during my stay. The room was comfortable. The shower could use some work--- the water flow was erratic from the showerhead (but I've seen that many times in LA). This is a well kept property built in the late 70's. Parking was tight if you came back later, and was excaberated by the fact that several large 18 wheelers were there almost every night. You just have to go around the back to park. I walked to Starbucks on the corner, IKEA, a donut shop and the mall across the street. There's even a FedEx Kinkos next to the Starbucks if you need it. I'll go back.

This was our 1st trip to LA. The hotel was what we expected. Not a place to spend your vacation, but a good place to sleep and have a good breakfast to start a day of sightseeing. The staff was very nice and accomodating. They even printed a map on mapquest for us for one of our day adventure. The area felt safe but the parking lot was very full on the weekends. The breakfast was VERY good each day. The home made waffels was a nice touch. The location for this hotel is a little far for the Hollywood and LA attractions.

Requested non-smoking room, got a room that reeked of cigarettes. Room changed, however, neither the television nor the air conditioning worked in the new room. Asked 4 times and waited 12 hours for a remote control once the television was repaired. Not a very well taken care of facility. Very disappointed with stay.

During our stay, they were repairing the wall in the hallway. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was great...eggs, homefries, waffles, sausage, toast and many drinks. The location is off the main highways, easy to access and safe for kids. No problems with parking. Right across the street from a small shopping mall. Highly recommended if traveling with kids.

This hotel was in poor condition and is badly in need of an overhaul. In our room, the beds were clean and comfortable, but much else was badly worn and our toilet leaked. The ice machine did not work, the carpets were patched, the hallway walls were peeling. The breakfast room was so crowded that we could not sit down and were surrounded by signs threatening fines if we took food to our room. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Los Angeles attractions are spread across a very wide area... this hotel, located adjacent to a major expressway, offers a quiet, central location about mid-way between LAX, downtown LA, and Orange county. For sight-seeing in LA, a car is a *must*. Hotel provides a full breakfast.. great for getting started in the morning. WiFi access worked well in all of the rooms I've stayed in (4 at this count). Pool is well maintained and pleasant to use on warmer days.

It is a great place to stay and drive to southern california attractions. On the bad side, we were one whole day without hot water at the hotel.

Air conditioning unit was a little loud. Included hot breakfas buffet which was good. Asl long as we have relatives in that area, we'll go back.

I travel a lot for work and I work for a company that likes me to stay as cheaply as possible. As you can imagine, I have stayed in some dumps. This motel wasn't one of them. As cheap motels go, the room was well-appointed, roomy and clean. I picked up a wireless internet signal in my room and was able to check my email on my laptop. It was convenient to the freeway and there is a drive-thru Starbucks right next door. As long as you aren't expecting a five-star hotel, you probably won't be disappointed with the amenities and the price.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly & helpful and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a problem with parking due to the night club next door. They use the hotel as overflow preventing the hotel guests from being able to park. The "ladies" from the club doing "business" in the parking lot is another issue all together. If there is no other lodging available I would reccomend this as a place to stay.

This was an older hotel. A cleaning glove was left in our room on the mini fridge. We got in late (1am) from a long day at Disneyland and our neighbors were extremely loud up until about 3am. Management was notified and couldn't move us due to a full house. They should have been able to control the noise level.
