| This hotel is in the center of Stowe with a great location for shopping. However if you're in Stowe for the skiing, it's one that is the most far away from the mountain, however, the drive is not bad. The staff and the wait people in the restaurant are smiling and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely historic hotel and will definitely stay there again on our return. We highly recommended a stay here.

| My fiancee and I stayed at the inn for a couple nights. The check-in went smooth and we were both happy with our Deluxe Canopy Room. The room was located in the Clubhouse Building and was pretty quiet. We heard the phone ring in the room next door once and other than that - was just fine. The room was a tad small, but nothing different than boutique hotel sizes you see in San Fran or NYC. The fireplace and DVD player was a nice touch. The only thing kind of annoying was extremely minor - and really not worth giving a lesser rating for... there were no coffee filters for the coffee machine (and they had none in stock at all at the inn). Thank god there's a great little coffee house across the street that knows how to make good lattes! We ate at the Whip one night and found the atmosphere to be nice and the food decent. Overall, we thought the inn was perfect for what we needed - a comfortable, quiet, relatively romantic place to spend the night between day trips!

| Room was smaller than expected, and very full of furniture - had a crowded feeling to it. Location was good; central to lot's of restaurants & sightseeing places. Staff was moderately helpful. Year-round pool was closed 2 out of 3 days of my stay. Would go back to Stowe, but not to this hotel.

| My boyfriend and I were on a ski vacation where we stayed with friends in a condo and then an extra night at the Inn by ourselves. Very cute place to stay cozy rooms. The queen room was a little cramped (very new england) I caught a glimpse of the king rooms and if I went back and was staying more than one night I would book one of those. There are a lot of hotels closer to the mountain, but I liked the location of this one (in the center of Stowe) a short drive or walk to area restaurants and shops. I got a great massage and the health club, jacuzzi and locker rooms were all very nice.

| Great old style inn atmosphere conveniently located in the center of the charming village of Stowe. In addition to it's old style charm it also has many modern conveniences such as a good size Health Club with a large hot tub. There is also has a nice year-round outdoor heated pool. The Whip Bar & Grill is among the best dinning experiences in the area. The Inn is in easy walking distance to other fine dinning establishments, galleries, shopping and historical attractions.

| We stayed in one of the queen attic suites.Even though it was at the front of the inn it was surprisingly quiet. The room was quite large with many amenities; seperate living room with pocket doors to bedroom, 2 person jacuzzi tub, silverware, mini bar, 2 tv's and dvd players, and wirless internet access. Great value for the price.

| The Green Mountain Inn provided a terrific spot to unwind. In the midst of a small main street area, it was near shops and eateries without being in a "busy" section. The Deluxe room was very nice with a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The room's dimensions were a bit smaller than expected. The heated outdoor pool was a luxury, although the promised sauna took so long to heat up I never enjoyed it. With free board games, afternoon tea, cider, and cookies, the inn offered several nice touches. The restaurant affiliated with the hotel was also quite good. I would return again.

| We had some difficulty with a faulty thermostat and noisy neighbors, BUT hotel management handled both situations with efficiency and quickness. They were very accomodating and understanding.

| I think Green Mountain Inn is a decent hotel. I don't think it's worth the cost though, the rooms aren't spacious. The resturaunt is OK, a bit pricey for the quality.
