| The hotel was very nice and cozy. Had a pretty good complimentary continental breakfast spread and there were snacks set out in the afternoon as well as hot drinks, which were great after a day on the slopes. It is a dog friendly hotel, so don't be surprised to hear some barking occasionally in the evenings. Only two complaints: the hot water was pretty scarce in the showers during the later afternoon or early evening - in fact it was only lukewarm, and the duvets on the bed and pillow shams could be cleaner.

| This lodge was even better than I could have dreamed up. It is warm, inviting, romantic, and the people there are so friendly, especially the manager. She's a doll. Free long distance calls, free hot cocoa, coffee, and tea, as well as fruit, snacks, etc. A roaring fireplace, Christmas tree, snow, and the most spectacular view you can imagine. I can't wait to go back. Breakfast was excellent and the view from the "Top of the World" restaurant is just breathtaking.

| For our 10th anniversary, we stayed in a Mountain View Suite. We drove out of Denver to encounter a surprise snowstorm. At the Lodge, they prepared an excellent meal with frequent power outages and accommodated us expertly. The views were breathtaking. All our needs were anticipated and met. Jenny at the spa became our personal concierege and was enormously helpful to us. I highly recommend The Lodge and a trip to Breckenridge.

| The Lodge and Spa must have one of the most beautful views in all of Breckenridge but the hotel itself needs a makeover. Stayed in the king mountain view suite which could have been a fabulous room but again, the hotel is crying out for updating and maintenance. It is old and somewhat shabby. Service is lackadaisical.

| All I can say is beautiful and relaxing views but no air conditioning, screens lacking on some windows, broken blinds and hard beds. This could be a wonderful place to stay if they would do some updating such as air conditioning or at the very minimum making sure that all windows have screens improving the beds that are hard as a rock. I can't say that we didn't enjoy our stay but the fan that we bought from the local grocery store helped make sleeping a lot more bariable. I would recomend this hotel for the view and the rustic experience but not for the summertime comfort.

| We were up from Denver for the weekend and really enjoyed the hotel. It sits just above the village of Breckenridge. The views from our room were amazing! The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing. We took our dog with us and they treated him as though he were a paying guest! We loved it and can't wait to go back!

| The staff who work The Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge were top notch! They ALL treated my wife and me as if we were VIP. We would be happy to stay with the Lodge and Spa again while in Breck. The appetizers in their restaurant were fantastic. We were thrilled when the staff was even kind enough to point us to other restaurants in town. We only spent one night. However, it was the only night on our long vacation that ACTUALLY felt like a vacation.

| Special little touches make this a great place to stay. Baskets of granola bars and apples, coffee, tea and hot chocolate by the fireplace sitting area. Breathtaking views! This hotel is a little off the beaten path of Breckenridge, yet close enough to be able to enjoy it all. It's the best kept secret!

| Location, atmosphere, and the Spa itself are well worth the trip and stay to this Lodge and Spa. The variety of services they provide in the spa, along with the continental breakfast, and a shuttle that takes you right into downtown Breckenridge or the slopes is very enticing. The staff are very knowledgeable of the area and the services they provide! Can't wait to go back!

| We were very disappointed in this property. The entire place looks worn and the rooms are far from comfortable. The bed was terrible, thin mattress, thin pillows, a squeaky headboard and sheets that didn't fit the mattress. The bathroom had a "wicker" shelf that looked to be 10 years old and the lights above the sink had glass shades that were green which put a green cast on the whole bathroom...not ideal for make-up application considering this was the only mirror in the room. The TV was small and old, and the neither window in the room closed properly. The only thing nice about the continental breakfast was the view. The food was picked over, and we didn't see any staff around trying to replace items or keep the breakfast area clean. You even have to bus your own tables. The rating of this property should be changed to 2 stars.

| The only thing positive about the lodge is the fantastic views. The rooms are only in fair condition for a hotel asking for these nightly rates. The hot water in the showers take 10-15 minutes to get warm and it went from cold to hot from there. The beds were marginally comfortable - don't be fooled by the "feather down" descriptions of the bedding. Two of the window shades were broken so we had to hang towels over the windows since the blinds could not be quickly fixed. The continental breakfast was a joke. Oranges, toast, a few types of cereal, bagels and waffles. You make the waffles yourself by pouring pre-filled Dixie cups on the waffle iron. We had an end unit (one of the most expensive) and the noise from the stairs was pretty bad. This place used to be nice but it has gone downhill in the past few years. There are much nicer places to stay in Breckenridge for less money.

| Fabulous hotel site, easy to find. Efficient shuttle. Mountain vistas stunning at all times. We stayed in a suite which suited our purposes;pictures on web misleading as suite is over-sized room with living area and kitchen at opposite ends. Kitchen is a sink, mini-frig and microwave. Don't expect to prepare anything complicated here. Works best for cold breakfast, frozen foods, and leftovers. Furnishings were nice- bed linens luxurious, fireplace, and Aveda bath products an upgrade from standard hotel fare. Room not in the best repair. Everything worked;lots of things weren't quite put together; the room would have felt classier if lock on door worked smoothly, cover put on smoke detector, if there wasn't a gaping patch needing repair in bathroom. Takes 10 minutes for water to heat in shower. Food in hotel restaurant was outstanding. Continental breakfast each morning-waffles are best-breakfast at 7:30. Evening meal was exquisite. Bring your own boombox,CDs, candles, corkscrew, coffee filters, etc. We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge and found hotel staff friendly, helpful. Definitely planning a return trip, just a little better prepared the next time. I would recommend it with the caveats mentioned above for fewer surprises. We did not utilize all available services at the hotel-guess we'll go back next year.

| This is a very sweet little place to stay. It is perched above the town of Breckenridge and has terrific mountain views from even the cheapest (ours) rooms. There are firplaces in the rooms, a useable (not very nice) indoor pool, and a great outdoor hottub, as well as good random reading material and board games perfect for a lodge-type evening in. The restaurant is a bit overpriced, I'd recommend eating at the Briar Rose in town.

| Late October is a beautiful time in the Rockies. Our stop over on a 3600 mile driving tour was made more pleasant by the beauty we found at the Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge. The staff was very cordial during this laid back time of year. The restaurant was good despite being nearly empty. The sitting area off the lobby with its massive fireplace and mountain view was especially nice.We stayed in nice places in Taos and Aspen on this trip , but the views from The Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge were the tops! We would do it again in a heartbeat.

| The staff were very courteous and exhibited a high level of professionalism. However, the rooms were less than optimal the carpet is stained and torn. Each mattress was in very poor shape making the bed uncomfortable to sleep on. The room had windows to provide a nice view of the mountains but were drafty making the temperature hard to control. I would not choose to return to this lodge and feel it should be rated at a one star.
