| We had a wonderful experience with this site. The room was wonderful and within walking distance to many sights and restaurants. The only problem we encountered was that the air conditioning wasn't sufficient to keep the room cool. When we asked others on higher floors, they reported no problems so perhaps it was just our room...

| We stayed two nights during some very hot July weather. Our 3rd story room had a window air conditioner to supplement the central air, and it was very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, the room very clean, and the hotel located right in the heart of the historic district in Annapolis. We were able to walk everywhere. Valet parking was reasonable, and they were prompt to deliver our car when needed. I'll stay in more historic inns after this visit.

| We really enjoyed staying at the Historic Inns of Annapolis as an ending to our family vacation. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the service was excellent. Our air conditioner was not working so the hotel staff sent someone immediately to check on it and then graciously put us in an alternate room for the night. We loved the extra pillows and towels.

| The hotel is at a very convenient location. Staff knowledge was poor and we received a lot of misinformation. We booked a room that included breakfast but no one knew about it even though our confirmation said "business and breakfast." The parking was not convenient and we were misinformed aobut where to parking and ended up paying more for parking than should have. The service at the restaurant was very slow with only one waiter. It took them 10 minutes to sit us and another 5 minutes to straighten out the complimentary breakfast misinformation. Once we were seated the service was prompt and friendly. The waiter saved the day.

| Staying at the Historic Inns was very memorable. It's actually three restored houses all across the street from the oldest capitol in the US. Easy walk to Naval Academy, shopping, resturants and waterfront. Just valet park the car and walk everywhere...but beware of valet fee. Room was very nice and roomy. Overall....pricey but nice!

| As a Naval Academy Grad, I love to stay anywhere in walking distance of all the great Annapolis spots. This was excellent. Reserved it last minute on line and drove up the same night. Great value for a short middle of the week get away. Didn't eat or drink at Maryland Inn this time, but highly recommend that too.

| Remember this is a historic inn located in one of the oldest buildings in Annapolis so it has old building charm as well as problems! With that in mind, it was awesome to be right in downtown. The room is completely refurbished and has all the amenities of a modern upscale hotel room. We were on the 4th floor (heat rises badly in an old building) so had to run the A/C in the winter to keep the room comfortable. Service and amenities were awesome. Highly recommended!

| We found the central location of the hotel to be very convenient walking to everything the town had to offer. The decor was lovely and nice accomadations. However the air conditioning was not adequate for the room size and one evening it sis not get below 80 degrees.

| Everything was fantastic. The staff was excellent, the room was very good, except the bed was not my own, it was a little harder than my wife and I are used to. The parking was as expected in any capital, or large city, and posed absolutely no problem at all. The valet service was very prompt. I would stay there again, but maybe try one of the other Inns just for a change...

| 3 ppl behind front desk at check-in. We were the only guests in the lobby. No one offered info about the hotel, its services or the area as we were being checked in. When I finally asked about the tavern that I had read about online, they said it was closed, making no attempt to offer any other information. Our room appeared shabby with thread bare drapes and a shower curtain that was missing 3 rings right in the middle. Crumbs in the dresser drawer and walls that needed patching and painting. No pillow cases on the extra pillows in the closet and the blanket on the bed was so pilled that we didn't want to touch it. The extra blanket in the closet appeared dirty and was full of what appeared to be cigarette burns.

| Excellent service from the desk to the valet, but... No internet connection, dial-up only on a one-line phone; desk lamps in poor repair or broken; no desk space to use a lap-top; ancient heat/ac system that was very LOUD. Historic, yes. Charming, no.

| This is a historical hotel, originally built in 1770's. George Washington used to hang out in the hotel bar. It is in a wonderful and convenient location in wonderful Annapolis. The furnishings also look historical. My room even had a fireplace. The hotel has lots of character, but not all the amenities of a modern hotel. There were renovations going on when I stayed there (and the room rate was correspondingly low) so perhaps it will be in better shape by spring 2005. I would happily stay there again even in the pre-renovated state. One disadvantage is that the Historic Inn is three different buildings some distance apart, only one of which has a "front desk" so there was no hotel staff present in my hotel (Maryland Inn) most of the time.

| First, I did not know that the price on Expedia already included Valet parking. Parking is a headache in Annapolis and Valet parking itself is $18.00 (on thanksgiving day, 2004). I took valet parking, only to find out later that it was already included. What a waste if I had went to another parking garage (and the walking..)For the hotel per se, quite traditional - hence old. Nice environment, and they tried to keep it tidy. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator in the room, and the coffee pot was not working, and it was kind of hard to find water to drink (tap water had some kind of uncomfortable taste to it there). Front desk is very friedly though. The biggest sell-point is that this is right on the state circle, so very convenient. Only a few blocks to the waterfront and the stores. If you plan to go, this is still a good place, but don't expect too much.

| Before this visit, I last frequented The Maryland Inn in 1990. Although the properties retain the historical signifigance of their properties, they need to pay closer attention to maintaining them... wallpaper peeling in room, heating erratic and Treaty of Paris Restaurant was lackluster due to slow/poor service on 3 visits (as well as in need of a good dusting... cobwebs overhead my table!) Also had several phone charges posted to my room, although I never used the phone... front desk staf was gracious in removing these at checkout. I'd come again as Annapolis is a great getaway and these properties are very convenient to downtown and all attractions, but hope that the service could sizzle & basic R&M concerns can be addressed.
