I selected this hotel for price and proximity to my son's apartment, so local attractions did not factor into my decision. But, my daughter and I were pleasantly surprised at how many things there were to do and places to eat within walking distance of this hotel. It was a Sunday afternoon when we were there, a time I had heard was truly dead in that area, but it really isn't unless one needs a huge amount of hustle and bustle. It is also very close to subway stations so it is easy to go elsewhere in Manhattan for entertainment. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I had driven there also and found parking not to be a problem (alhthough I would recommend they list suggested parking garage in their hotel information). I would definately tell anyone trying to find a place to stay in that particular part of Manhattan to consider staying at this Club Quarters.

The Club Quarters staff was friendly and helpful, providing clear and useful information before and during my visit. The hotel is very easy to access- less than a block from the subway no. 2 or 3 Wall Street exit- so getting there from Newark airport/Penn Sta. was a breeze. The room was on the smaller side, but not at all cramped, and was very comfortable, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities from bathroom-coffeemaker. Perks included comfortable bed, great desk chair, flat screen/wall-mounted tv, and the weekend bargain I was able to find on expedia! Overall, I was very satisfied and highly recommend this room to anyone looking for a functional, convenient, no nonsense yet comfortable place to stay in the downtown area.

This is a nicely furnished, clean hotel in a very interesting location in NYC. It sits just one block away from the center of the NYC financial area. The streets surrounding the hotel are narrow and lined with buildings of great interest and antiquity such as the NY Stock Exchange and Trinity Church. The hotel is also just a short walk from the Southport district, a relatively recent tourist development. It's a bit noisy, but what isn't in NYC? We had a very pleasant stay.

Spacious, well furnished room on the penthouse floor with good quality amenities and excellent cleaning service. Excellent lounge area and inhouse restaurant and bar which closed inexplicably on the Sunday. There were some basic problems which need to be addressed 1) No luggage ramp - had to bump my bags up and down the stairs 2)No porter/bellman 3)Elevator to penthouse often used as service elevator and long delays for it to come to the top floor

This was aan excellent hotel for the money we spent. Great location; there is a subway just around the corner and all the sites of Wall street are within walking distance. The room was very small but clean and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs had a decent breakfast buffet but it was slightly pricey. The guy at the desk was very helpful with directions and getting us cabs. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We were very happy with Club Quarters Downtown as a value-type of hotel. We were glad to have a quality place to stay in NYC without spending a fortune. Yes, the room was not big, but not tiny. This is New York, not exactly the place to spend all your time in a hotel room! It was extremely clean, and had a recently renovated feel, with a flat screen TV. The bed and the pillows were superb. The staff were friendly and happy to help with directions. There is a living room space on the lobby level that is comfortable. We would stay here again.

We were looking for a place close to my daughter's college (Pace University) with a nearby subway. We just needed a place to sleep since we knew we would be out and about seeing the sights and spending time with her! We got everything we bargained for and more! Rooms were small as expected but nicely furnished- bathroom tiny- but fairly clean (shower had some mold in grout)- although it was odd that there was no cover for the toliet! Room was little noisey with traffic but certainly bearable! All in all, we would recommend this hotel to our friends and family! We WILL return to this hotel!

This hotel is reasonably priced and has all the comforts of a more expensive hotel. The flat screen television, internet hook-up, and private telephone number are all pluses. It also has a very nice setting area off the lobby. The only down side and it really isn't--is that it the financial district is very quiet on the weekend, but come Monday morning it jumps to life again. I'll stay at Club Quarters again.

We asked for an extra pillow. Initially we were told that they didn't have any extra pillows. Later we were told that one would be delivered- it never was. When we checked out we asked if they would call a cab for us. We were told that they didn't have a phone number for cabs, but could call a car service. There were two cabs outside which refused to take us uptown. They werte only interested in trips to the airport. The room was clean and relatively inexpensive. I guess you get what you pay for. We stayed the next three nights at the Manhattan Club, which was great.

This hotel is extremely basic. The service was at best minimum. The staff is not very friendly or accomodating. If you are needing a taxi then you need to pick up the phone and call one yourself. The front desk will not do this for you, and there are not many cabs in this area at night. However, the subway is one block away and there are local restaurants that will deliver to the hotel even late at night.

Initially, i was skeptical that this Club Quarters would be a 3.5 star hotel, considering that I had recently stayed in a Club Quarters in Saf Francisco. The one in SF was small; I felt like I was in a closet. Against my better judgement I decided to book reservations for the Club Quarters in Manhattan for me and my wife's anniversary weekend. Not to my suprise, when we arrived, the service was lacking and the room was extremely small. The accomodations were not at all close to what I would expect from a 3.5 star hotel. I have traveled all over the world and have stayed at everything from 1 star to 5 star. This hotel is more like a good 2 star that's in a safe area. The service was non-existent and the accomodations were basic. In NYC, this is not a bad hotel for the rate; however, don't expect 3.5 star service or accomodations. Happy Travels.
