In the financial district, a couple of blocks from ground zero. It is a 4 block walk to the nearest subway station, which was not a problem (except for the day it rained). There is a free public shuttle which circles lower Manhatten. Convenient for going to the 1/2 price (theater)ticket location and for getting to the Statue of Liberty. Breakfast and Happy-Hour lines were long on the weekend, short during the weem. Concierge was very helpful. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would go there again.

We were very pleased with most everything about this hotel. The suite was very roomy for NYC. Our only complaint was the quality of the sofa bed. Our 15 year old daughter slept on it and it was really uncomfortable - thin, saggy mattress with the springs poking her in the back. I laid on it and she wasn't kidding!! I don't know how anyone is expected to be comfortable on that thing. Still our experience was very good overall. Her breakfast improved her mood - really quite a nice spread!

We arrived at the Embassy Suites after a 13 hour drive. The porter had our luggage unloaded and we were registering inside the hotel within minutes. The service we received at this hotel was the best we have ever received in any of our travels. The hotel personnel know how to make their guests feel comfortable; the personnel also go out of their way to help make their guests' stay very enjoyable! Our room was spectacular with a view of the Hudson River. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and all the furniture was nicely maintained. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and helped get us off to a good start each morning. The hotel's location was very appealing to us because it was located in the Financial District and our visit to New York took place over the weekend. That meant that we could go to Midtown Manhatten and mingle with the crowds and then return to area of our hotel which was not so crowded. The hotel also had an awesome Mexican restaurant attached to it. They make really good Margaritas! Most important to us, a very nice park was 2 blocks away and right on the river boardwalk. Our daughter loved playing there, and we all enjoyed walking on the boardwalk. At this point, we are saying that we can't wait to go back to New York and stay at the Embassy Suites again!

This hotel is just steps from the fabulous parks along the Hudson River and the harbor. Within a few hundred feet of the hotel door, there is a great playground for small children, three dog parks, plenty of green grass for running and game playing, and great views of the river and harbor. Battery Park City is largely residential, and plenty of families live here. The rooms are spacious (for NYC), and many have great views of the river (for now, until a new building is finished).

Grat Place to stay. Great price for a suite vs. single room at other hotels in NYC. Breakfast buffet was terrific. Consierge helped us find a wonderful restaurant for dinner on our first night. Area is much quieter on the weekend vs. staying in mid-town. Subway a few blocks away. Great views. Only drawback was entertainment was a $15-20 cab ride or a subway ride.

I found this property very expensive but relative to others in the Manhattan area about average so I guess its down to location - Wall St., World Financial Centre, Ground Zero etc. Big warning: Cingular phones do NOT work in most parts of the hotel and both the WiFi and Ethernet web connections were slower than dial-up. Otherwise, it was clean, modern hotel.

It is a very high hotel (15 stories). We were on the 15th floor. We had a lovely view of the Hudson River on our way to the elevators. I would not recommend staying that high up if you have little ones that like to climb. There is a short wall that is the only thing between you and a 15 story fall. The complimentary breakfast was great every morning, and helped to get us all fueled for our sightseeing. We were close to the subway, and the Liberty/Ellis Island Ferry. One block from the WTC towers monument. The only improvement needed is better coffee for breakfast, and in the rooms.

Very easy to get to the subway, but there was not much life after work since it is in the financial district, so you have to take the subway to another part of town to go out to dinner - not a bad thing though. The free breakfast in the morning, and free drinks in the early evening were nice. The only negative is that the fold out bed is very uncomfortable. (Is there such a thing as a comfortable foldout?)

The only real downside I would say is the location though subway lines are not far away. A block from the world trade center site-not convenient for a lot of the tourist sites-but free breakfast and free drinks at night from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the managers reception are very nice features. Refrigerator in room is a mini bar-no extra room for anything and prices are high. Also there is construction in area at the front of hotel. Room size if quite big for New York I would say from what I saw when shoppping via internet.

I have stayed in New York a number of times and found it loud at night, but this hotel was very quiet at night. There is construction nearby during the day, but it is not a concern. The hotel is very close to the former World Trade Center cite and you will likely be reminded of that horible day when you enter and exit the hotel. However, it is something that we should be reminded of and, in doing so, marvel at the spirit of the people of New York. they are a blast. We had an excellent trip and would stay here again in a New Your minute.

Disapointing. The hotels walls must be made of paper. The hotel was hosting many of the marching bands for the St Patrick's parade, and all we heard into the wee hours were the giggles and screams of teenagers acting immaturely on their big trip to the city!

This hotel is awesome, each night there is a manger's reception with free drinks from 5:30 til 7:30. The breakfast was great eggs, sausage, bacon, omelettes, etc. We got a free room upgrade because the room the computer assigned us wasnt cleaned and because of that simple error they gave us a room with a view of the river. Great service and great hotel. My only complaint would be that the bed was a little hard.

Visiting our daughter in Tribeca this hotel offered us the convenience of being within walking distance of her apartment. Lots of trendy restaurants around. Our room on the 15th floor had a wonderful view of the river and the NJ skylin, this may change soon as it appears that something is about to be built right in front. The free breakfast was a crowd pleaser with lots of options and eggs cooked to order. I would have liked a real closet rather than the armoire with little room for hanging clothes. The Hudson river walk is great for those who want to exercise, there is also a gym and pool

Embassy Suites NY will definitely become my favorite hotel in Manhattan. The staff is very professional and customer service oriented. The hotel is beautiful and the complimentary breakfast is one of the best. My only criticism was the coffee -- a bit too acidic. Our suite was very clean, comfortable, great linen! and quite spacious--was a pleasant surprise in a city like Manhattan! The concierge could have given us better directions to get to the subway station. Her directions were a bit vague for out of towners like us, but she was always so friendly and helpful. All in all, a great place to stay! I'd give it 5/5 stars.

Our room, on the 15th floor, had a view of the city and wtw site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included too. You can have them make something for you or grab what is already cooked. It was very good. This was our first stay and it won't be the last. This is the hotel for our NYC trips. Based on the service we received, I have no complaints.
