| The room I was in was not in good shape. The shower door and privacy lock were broken. The patio light was stuck on and the curtain had a big hole so the light filled the room at night. The sink was cracked and the stopper was missing/broken. The tub was not clean. There were dents on the wall and the bed/furniture was dinged up. One of the lamps was broken. The half of the yellow pages was torn out. The walls were thin and the plumbing was squeeky. On the plus side, the parking was free, the shower had good water pressure and there was plenty of hot water.

| This hotel is in a great location on a nice marina in Oxnard, but it is drastically in need of a major remodel. The staff keeps the rooms VERY clean, but they can't do much about the frayed carpeting in the hallways, stained bathroom fixtures and walls that need painting. Is the management planning to sell the place and not wanting to put any money into upgrading it? What other reason could there be? This is in an ideal location and would attract many more customers if it looked nice. It really is sad to see such a facility slowly deteriorate. The plus side of its condition is that the rates are very reasonable. And it's very quiet at night. We slept in a very comfortable bed and had a peaceful night. We will stay there again, primarily because it is close to our daughter's house and it is inexpensive.

| Too bad these hotel rooms are not maintained very well, in my room the handle for the sliding window was broken leaving a sharp edge. The paint on the cabinets was chipped off. Great location with a view of Channel Islands Harbor, if you don't mind subpar rooms the area is still nice to visit.

| Hotel needs work but ok for the price ~ ~ you get what you pay for, but the location is Ideal near the Marina with great walking paths. Bathroom fixtures needed work and hotel needed updating but if you get a room with a view of the Marina, oh what a view it is. Staff was friendly

| The location is great with areas to walk and playground for little ones. However the rooms are basic and could use some maintainance. Depending on the price, this hotel is OK.

| This hotel is right on the ocean with a view of the boats in the marina from our window. Our room was large with a comfortable kingsized bed. The bathroom fixures were old but clean.

| This is an older Hotel. Lovely Location and views. Nice gardens. Large room, good bed. Needed maintenance in several areas like the bathroom, and balcony. Overall a nice place for the price. We ate at the Lobster Trap Resturant, and it was expensive but excellent. No on site laundry was a bummer, but free wireless internet was great.

| The best thing about the hotel is the location. Great view of the harbor from the water view rooms. Yeah, it's a little run down, but still livable at a good price. I liked it and would stay there again.

| This is a somewhat older hotel that appears to have seen better days. The drapes needed to be cleaned (they had some kind of spots on them), the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while (vacumned perhaps), one of the chairs at the table had a patch of foam about six inches by two inches showing through the back in a wear spot, the bed was lumpy, the bathroom door coaming (?) appeared to suffer from dry rot, and the table was very wobbly...not what I needed when I was trying to study. The location was nice, and the harbor area appears like it might be a nice area to stroll around (I didn't have the time). Also, the lady at the front desk was very nice. Overall, though, I was very disappointed. I didn't need anything fancy, but I did need something clean and comfortable...this hotel was neither.

| We love this place, have been going twice a year since 2002, it is a wonderful, quite, relaxing and beautiful place to spend your time after a long tiring drive. We walk our dog in the morning around the marina and in the park attached to the hotel - so peaceful and quiet - no noice except for the birds up and starting their day. We travel a lot (showing dogs) and like to try different places but would never consider anyplace else when showing in Oxnard or Ventura

| The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself was in good condition. The outside appeared well kept, and clean. The inside of the rooms gave off a very south beach feel; however, the showerheads were placed for people 5 years old and younger. Other than that our stay was incrediably enjoyable.
