Better than I expected. The room was clean and maintenance staff did good job. They even put my kids' toys back to where they were after made the bed. Asked for more blankets and got them in 5 mins. Front desk people were friendly. Check-in and out were quick and smooth. One night came back from Disneyland in full hands and got the manager held the lobby door for us. Problems: no refrig or microwave, and the way they cleaned the room left smell of some kind of smoke. The walk is a little bit long to Disneyland (10 min) if you were tired. In overall, got the money's worth. A good place to stay for several days and go around the areas such as LegoLand, and Universal Studios (it got free parking).

The room was fairly large, Kids Suite. There were all the amenities, fridge, 2 TV's, microwave. Each of the bunk beds has a light with it's own switch! The coffee in the room was pretty bad. Clean pool and jacuzzi area. Taking the shuttle was kind of a pain, and took about 40 minutes. You can walk to Disneyland in 15. Overall, we would stay here again only would be sure to ask for a room facing the park so as to see the fireworks at night. Also, the restaurant where the "kids eat free" was not too good.

The Hotel was clean and roomy. The kids like the bunkbeds. However, it is not really a two room suite. The room is divided by french doors that do not close all the way. The hotel two very long blocks from the Disneyland entrance. And the Anaheim Resort Transit buses take too long or it's too full. We bought a 3 day pass and only used it one time. All the other times we gave up waiting and ended up walking. Also Kids eat free is really deceiving. You have to go to the Jolly Rancher Restaurant next door and it is only good when you have an adult paid lunch, not Breakfast or Dinner.

Front desk staff was polite and helpful. Location is neither too far or close to Disneyland entrance. Breakfast was basic, I suppose there should have boiled egg, more fruit choice and a better taste coffee. If the basin drain and the bath tub drain were not choked, I would give the inn a higher ranking.

The front desk was SLOW! When I called them from my room, the phone rang and rang. So, I had to walk to the front dask and when I got there I stood for at least ten minutes without even being spoken to. While I was standing there, the phone was ringing and ringing and they were ignoring it. The room was okay, but the bathroom smelled like sewer.

We arrived at 11:30 at night. When I walked into the lobby the clerk and a guest were arguing about her toilet which had overflowed 6 hrs earlier. NO ONE had been to the room to repair or clean it. The clerk said there was nothing he could do, it was all the fault of the day-time crew, he was the ONLY person on duty & could not leave the front desk. When at last I was helped 25 mins later (the other guest's problem was never resolved) I was told they were out of cribs. 2 hours before our arrival, as well as early that day I had called to remind them of my crib need. I asked him to check again about the crib. He turned and asked someone in an office behind the desk. It clicked in my mind that he had just told the guest with the bad toilet that there was NO ONE else on duty. The other guest about this time informed him that there was no TP in the lobby bathroom which her family had to use. He replied only that he was sorry, clearly unaware that there were 2 rolls of TP in full view on the counter behind him. The next evening we returned to the room to find a crib provided. I transfered my sleeping baby to it as soon as we got in the door and 5 seconds later realized that there were 2 roaches racing across the sheets. ROACHES! I pushed the crib out to the hall & called the front desk. They replaced the mattress & sheets. We seriously talked about cutting off our vacation at this point and driving an all-nighter back to Phoenix, but we stayed & survived to tell this true tale.

I really liked it, we got a king suite that had a pull out bed for our little one. The walk to Dinseyland was nice and easy. The Jolly Roger was good for breakfast and gave a discount for staying at the hotel. The only I had issues with is the parking, it was a little crowed at times and the bed was a little too hard for my taste.

We stayed in one of the Kid's suites which allowed my wife and I a seperate room from our two children, which was very nice (although you should be aware that it is a sliding windowed door that doesn't give enough privacy for some activities). Our only major complaints were that parking next to the building itself is a little sparse (although there is plenty of room in the lot itself) and there was difficulty connecting to the internet while there.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Portofina in the family suite. Our two girls (ages 5 and 7) almost enjoyed the bunk beds as much as Disneyland! There was a sliding door that could be used to seperate the bunk bed area (which also had it's own TV) We only used it when we were watching or own TV. Had microwave and refrigorator which was a plus for us. We walked to Disneyland from the Hotel (about 15-20 minute nice walk) which was only a problem on the way back, when the girls were beat! The girls brought their stuffed animals which the maids surprised them with settin them up in cute ways around their bed each day. Only complaint was hearing the showers run in other rooms, seemed louder then most hotel. There is a 7-11 across the street and several places to eat near by.

the portofino is a well-kept, very clean hotel that is close to disneyland. It's a great option for someone looking to save money on lodging, becuase it deliveres nicely on just what you need from a hotel: a clean place to sleep. The only thing we felt shorted on was the pool: the pictures make it look way bigger then it is, and since it's the only ammenity at the hotel, it's usually very crowded.

We're so glad to have stayed at the Portofino Inn. Expedia offered a great price compatible to what was expected. The Kids-Suite was perfect for our children, but needed extra closet and drawer space for clothes - especially if staying a week. Nearby Jolly Roger Restaurant - Kids Eat Free - good deal, but food overpriced and service unsatisfactory. Glad to have access to Laundry room facility, although expensive for soap, 1 dryer out,.... Would stay there again on our next trip!

We had a problem checking in and the employee of the Portofino at the desk was rude and very unhelpful. When we got to our room there was no soap and we had to call down and request it. When the request was made it was as though the person answering the phone did not believe us. Two days in a row dirty cups were not changed. These were the cups that were in the room upon our arrival! I would not recommend you stay here!

I stayed at the Portofino Suites 5 years ago when it was brand new. The accomodations then were great and inexpensive. This time around it was a case of getting far less then we paid for. The hotel is run down and looks as though nothing has been upgraded or replaced since the opening. Carpet was worn, any shower running or toilet flushing sounded as though it was in my room. The noise factor was very high. We could hear and feel those above us or those in the hallway. Considering the many choices of hotels in the Disneyland area I will not stay at the Portofino Suites again.

My no-smoking room smelled POWERFULLY of smoke. Gratefully, the staff quickly reassigned another room. The halls of the no-smoking suites were often laden with the smell of people smoking in the rooms. The "no-smoking" policy should be enforced or dropped. No hot water one morning was a less than welcome "event." Your 3 star designation is a bit generous.
