| Great beaches, not too crowded and a family friendly atmosphere. We were in town on business, but there were lots of families with kids. If you are looking for a party spot, look in downtown Willemstad. If you want blue water, a nice pool, peace and quiet plus great service, this is for you. I'll be back!

| We arrived on Sat. Jan. 8, 2005 for a 6 night stay on the Marriott all-inclusive package. We had a wonderful oceanfront room. We were skeptical about the all-inclusive due to some of the exceptions, however, there were only a couple of things like lobster and high end cordials like Louis as well as bottles of wine that you couldn't order or you would pay for or part of it. The hotel setting is just beautiful, very tropical and lush (just getting off the rainy season). There is much to see and do downtown but they do admit to a drug problem and that to stay safe stay at your hotel. Most of the hotels on the island have casinos and entertainment so we did just that. The pool was small but did the job. The beach was no further than 15 feet from our room. Dinner reservations in their Portifino restaurant are a must as well as a not to be missed Sunday Brunch. This is a much more intimate property than most carribean Marriott's resorts, less walking, it's just perfect and an excellent place to relax!

| The Marriott Curacao is the only 5 star resort on the island and in our estimation the ONLY place to stay. It has a beautiful open air lobby, a large, lovely pool area overlooking the ocean and beachfront with a dive shop that rents snorkel and scuba gear. The rooms are colorfully decorated in blues, golds and reds with nice linens. Our breakfast and dinner buffet (Caribbean and Italian) experiences were good - although a little costly. Probably the most notable of all was the service. From the front-desk to food service, everyone we encountered was extremely helpful and friendly. So much so, we sent a letter to Marriott HQ letting them how impressed we were with the resort.
